Derrick looks back, "what could you possibly do to help me?" He asks
She lifted her head a fraction at his biting tone, but said. "I can take away some of that...regret. Our minds are already linked."
"Well what... regret did you have in mind?" Derrick asks
"Whatever bothers you the most." She said. She knew how tricky this spell could be, but she liked Derrick too much to see him in pain.
"Well it would probably be my parents.... but...." Derrick trails off

So, it will feel like you were there, which you were of course, but you won't feel the pain. So it might be like you weren't there at all."It was hard for her to explain it, but she hoped he understood. Derrick opened the passenger side door and got into the glove box. He fiddled around a sec then found what he was looking for. "No I'm gonna fix this right now." He said with his voice breaking. He lifted up the object he had. And showed it to River. It was a pistol. He put the clip in and loaded the gun then put the gun to his head.

(Okay- pressures' on me now ;P)River screamed and dove forward, crashing into Derrick, trying to wrestling the gun from his hand. "Are you insane?!" She yelled, kicking him in the leg. She fought him as hard as she could, but she knew if she couldn't get the gun away soon, she'd have to resort to her power... "Give me the stupid gun Derrick!"

He is now receiving some of the side effects which River just witness. Basically sometimes Derrick is not himself.))

Derrick regains his sanity, he looked at the gun. His eyes widen, then he looks back at River. Derrick drops the gun and breaks down into and uncontrollable sob "River..... I am so... so sorry" he holds the wall for support as he slides down. Lying before River, now a broken man.
River sat across from him, stunned. She had NO clue what just happened. Taking a deep breath, she shifted closer to him, and gently hugged him, tensing in case he flipped out again. "It's okay... it's okay..."
Derrick just stays there crouched and sobbed uncontrollably.

Derrick screamed in pain and jumped back, dropping the gun, but as the gun hit the ground it fired. An excruciating pain shoots through Derrick's leg sending him to the ground instantly with blood curddling screams while he holds a spot on his leg.
