Patricia Vermillion | 3 comments I'm a librarian and author from Mississippi, raised on Nancy Drew mysteries and dreaming of becoming a detective with my best friend, Vicki. I swapped the detective life for working in a library; I still solve everyday mysteries, like finding the perfect book. My writing tips are: read and write every day, carry a notebook for ideas, collect words, write about familiar topics, research what’s new, and share stories with a friend.

My first novel is Gold in Havilah, speculating about that age-old question, “Who was Cain’s wife?” After Gold, I started a series called Chronicles of Genesis. Ashes Like Bread
