I love baseball too! My team is the Phillies, and they are play in San Fran tonight (who I also like), but the game just started since it is on the west coast, and I don't think I will see how it ends.

The Buckeyes are the football team at Ohio State University. I don't like football, but I had several friends at college who very much did, and they were mostly from Ohio and very big Buckeye fans. I also learned that OSU's biggest rival is Michigan State. :)My freshman year, one of my friends had some of us to her house for a house party, and the big event that Saturday afternoon was the OSU vs. Michigan football game. I stretched out on the sofa and fell sound asleep for several hours amidst the sounds of the TV and apparently shouts of joy or frustration from the other girls and boys. :)

Oh wow, the main character in my next book is considering playing football for Michigan State. I guess all the Ohio State fans will just have to root for him not to go there... he he. :)

And yeah, anything with chocolate and PB is just fine with me!

message 635: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments I agree with the Bible being the number one influential book in my life, so I think I would also put that as #1. But I do see Rachel's point that it really is almost it's own category.

message 636: by [deleted user] (new)

Ooh this is going to be hard.

Holy Bible King James Version by Anonymous because I do think of it as a book, the written Word of God, and it's been the best source of inspiration for me. ever. and since I read it every day and sometimes can't get enough of it... definitely my #1 favourite. :)

Crazy Love Overwhelmed by a Relentless God by Francis Chan This book was amazing, and I really really need to buy my own personal copy of it.

Fiction: Christy by Catherine Marshall , Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1) by L.M. Montgomery , Emily of New Moon (Emily of New Moon, #1) by L.M. Montgomery , Fire by Night (Refiners Fire #2) by Lynn Austin , Courting Morrow Little by Laura Frantz , A Tailor-Made Bride by Karen Witemeyer , Murder on the Titanic by Jim Walker , Hadassah One Night with the King by Tommy Tenney

Ok, I don't have a favorite. If I did, it would be Ohio's Mascot, and I don't even know what it is! I'm not into watching sports AT ALL. I only LOVE to play ultimate frisbee. But I still love watching baseball. Our church has a baseball team, and it's so much fun to go to their games and watch them!
