brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) I still like Sam, but now my favorite character changed to Eowyn. I love her determinedness and inner confidence

I have a favorite dessert recipe that I love to make, no-bake peanut butter pie. Soo good.

Ashley | 1541 comments Lol Sara!
Uuuuhm...well I recently made these scary-good cookies (they're brown sugar cookies. You can easily fine them on Pinterest) that I will NEVER make again cause they're definitely those I'll-get-addicted-to-this-and-it'll-ruin-my-life type of thing.
Everyone in my family agreed and didn't protest upon that deceleration that I was never gonna make the things again.
Lol
XD
Uhm...I'd have to say just this gingerbread cookie recipe.

message 2807: by brooke1994 (new)

brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) I'm not a cooking expert, but it's fun to learn new things and try out new recipes.

message 2808: by Halee (new)

Halee (im4israel) What is your favorite thing to bake?

message 2809: by Elizabeth, He Satisfies My Soul (new)

Elizabeth (elizabethnovak) | 1575 comments Mod
I like baking peanut butter or chocolate chip cookies.

message 2810: by Halee (new)

Halee (im4israel) My favorite is probably lemon bars and granola.

message 2811: by Elizabeth, He Satisfies My Soul (new)

Elizabeth (elizabethnovak) | 1575 comments Mod
Those both sound great. I've always wanted to make granola, haven't had a chance yet. What do you put in yours?

message 2812: by Halee (new)

Halee (im4israel) Oats, craisins, sliced almonds. Then for the liquid I mix Brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla in a pot and let it cook until it comes to a boil then combine the dry and liquid ingredients together in a bowl. Stick it in the oven. :)

message 2816: by brooke1994 (new)

brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) I like cooking. Not as much as creative writing or art, but like I said it's fun to try out new recipes from time to time.

message 2827: by brooke1994 (new)

brooke1994 (formerlynarnian525) I don't think I would change anything. God has me right where he wants me for a reason no matter what my life is like.

Icebreaker #90

To you keep to-do lists? If so, do they outline most of your day or just a few hours?

I have one right now that doesn't go by a set time limit; when I get to the thing I plan to do, I'll do it, and not before,

message 2832: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments I live and die by my to-do lists. But then, I have 3 kids, 2 jobs, and full responsibility to keep the house clean. I keep digital sticky nots on my computer for each day, with all the usual chores for that day, and then I add to it the night before to know what I need to do and when.

message 2833: by Madi (new)

Madi | 220 comments Oh this is a good one! I set alarms on my phone for daily reminders. I also have a notebook I write daily goals in, as well as a long term list of "to do's". This is all for my job & it really helps me during the day!

message 2834: by Carolyn, The God of Angel Armies (new)

Carolyn (caroheartsbooks) | 9968 comments Mod
I used to...but then I'd just get annoyed by how much I don't get done so I don't make them anymore lol. Maybe I should start again, I'm like the most unorganized person in the world. guess they are kinda fun

message 2835: by Madi (new)

Madi | 220 comments I so feel you!! I'm all happy to have my life-semi (but not really) organized by all my loverly lists! What soon follows is a depressing feeling because there simply isn't enough time in the day to finish everything that needs done! But life could be worse I suppose! :)

message 2836: by Sara (new)

Sara | 23 comments Do you guys still want me to do Ice Breakers? Or would you rather someone else do it because I'm too slow... I will be more active on goodreads now though.

Who's your favorite bible character, besides Jesus?

message 2839: by [deleted user] (new)

Zaccheus or Paul--the bad people who were redeemed. :)

message 2840: by T.C. (new)

T.C. Slonaker | 566 comments Good question. Hosea is one of mine. He loved his wife so much, but she treated him poorly. He still loved her. It is an illustration of how God never gives up on us. I'm glad you didn't ask which person you would like to be. I would NOT want to BE Hosea. He wasn't thrilled about being in that position either. But it was a beautiful story, nonetheless.

message 2841: by Carolyn, The God of Angel Armies (new)

Carolyn (caroheartsbooks) | 9968 comments Mod
Nicodemus! For some weird reason I never knew whether he ended up following Christ or not, and his story was referenced in some book I was reading . I was actually so nervous picking up the New Testament and frantically trying to figure out how his story ended. It felt like real time, like mentally begging him to pick right. Of course he did, and I love how applicable the legalism to salvation journey is today

Yessss Hosea, incredible. With his wife, its stunning.

message 2842: by Sara (new)

Sara | 23 comments Cool guys! My favorite is Solomon, because of how wise he was!

Oh and T.C., I was going to ask if you have any advise for someone who's writting a book? I'm in the process of finishing writing one...
