Why does everyone hate Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace?

The way they described in the book is like he is so sexy and beautiful etc but in the movie he looks nothing like that

I really love Jace and because of Jamie I started hating Jace.Just like Samyuktha said,in the book,he is damn beautiful that all the girls fall for him at first sight.But in the movie,he didnt look like that.His acting was also horrible.I would have preferred someone who was worth playing his role.

I thought that everyone seemed to love him and Lily Collins, while I thought they werent the right image. I pictured them specifically, also Sebastian. Isabelle was casted perfectly. and Alec and Magnus from the show were casted perfectly (and Raphael, if you forgot that he's supposed to look like 15, i just love the actor.)
