I really liked Alice In Zombieland. Her first person POV was good. And there are some serious battle scenes!
That's great Susan! I'm only 3 chapters in, really liking it so far. Have you seen Gena do interviews with Jill Monroe asking other authors questions? They're pretty hilarious.
Somewhere in the second half of the series Showalter changed her writing style. The later books are not as sexual as the earlier ones. Some readers have been put out by this. It did not bother me much at all. I enjoy the newer ones just as much. I just thought I would do full disclosure for you.
The sex scenes doesn't make or break a book for me. So I'll be checking out that series once I get to it. :)

Sounds fun...I'd love to see one of them.

Oh I don't think I've seen it with Kresley Cole. Another author on my to read list lol. Sandra, you can watch the videos on Gena's official website.
The only bad thing about this thread is that it gives me too many ideas of great books to read while making want to go back and read so many old favorites. Thanks for suggestions I am sure to enjoy!
@ Quynh - Yes, we already do and my list is just as long for my other groups! lol
Me too Jeanie. I can't get to my tbr list for constantly learning about new great books that I just must read right now.

So, once again, is the name of full disclosure. I have read both the Lords of the Underworld and Immortals After Dark series...I enjoyed both. Immortals After Dark is better, in my opinion.Just sayin...in case you were trying to decide between the two.
*Susan will now go duck in a corner
Hey Y'all...It's almost October - 3 months left in 2013. So what books are you still waiting for? Or what books are still on your list to read this year?
I have just started Kathy Reichs bones of the lost. I usually really like her books but right at the start of this one she locks her keys car & house as well as her handbag in her car. Then instead of calling someone to unlock the car her detective she works with turns up and drives her into work. He asks her if she wants to stop off at home and change she says no the house keys are locked in the car so instead of helping ger get her keys he just drives her to work. Who does that it is really annoying me. I hate it when a character does something so unnatural. It has almost made me rethink about whether or not I will continue reading the book. Dies this sort I f thing annoy anyone else?
I finished Undressed by Avery Aster. I'm now reading Wilde Nights in Paradise by Tonya Burrows. I'm also listening to The Black Ice by Michael Connelly.
Jonetta wrote: "What's this series like?"Contemporary romantic suspense. I am enjoying it so far. The first book is a novella but the next ones are full length.
Thanks, Susan. I'll check the series out. I believe it was featured this week on a blog I follow.
I've recently finished The Darkest Hour
by Maya Banks, Undertow
by Cherry Adair and Summer At Willow Lake
by Susan Wiggs. I'm currently reading How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire
by Kerrelyn Sparks. I'm thinking about only reading paranormal books for the month of October.
I have that one, Jonetta, but haven't read it yet. I just finished
and enjoyed it enough to move straight on to book 2 of this series -
. I'm also starting
along with my reread of
. I need to catch up on my list of "to be released" books to refresh my memory on what's still coming out in 2013.

WHOOOO another Castle fan!! :DI started Sultry with a Twist by Macy Beckett. Not bad so far, the heroine's name is Mae-June July Augustine. LOL.

Maybe they didn't have time, her thought patterns just don't work that way, or she has a Ford which is supposed to be hard to break into.
I say supposed to because my ex-niece in law took about 2 second to get into my Mustang after an off duty Ford guy, my nephew and about 40 other guys tried.

They have some sick sense of humor! As for Castle, I still have to read the books too. I read the first few chapters of Heat Wave, I like the show better. I'll read them eventually.

I did enjoy it. I gave it 4 stars. I was glad to finally get a chance to read it, it's got some cheesy parts to it, but still very enjoyable to me. I plan on continuing the series.
I am starting The Longest Ride
. A librarian friend suggested it, and from the very first chapter I was hooked. It is way different from the books I normally read.
I finished Through the Smoke (here's My Review) and I'm now reading Temptation Bay by Anna Sullivan.
