I'll have to come back to it later.

2) My favorite genre is paranormal but I read almost as many mystery/thrillers.
3) Can you play a musical instrument? When younger I played the trombone but now I can't even blow a single recognizable note.
4) When not reading, do you have another hobby? I used to cross stitch but my 6 cats kind of nixed that.
5) Favorite vacation? I don't go on vacation but if I did it would be to Australia, Scotland or Alaska.

1) Born in Peoria, Illinois -- but moved to New Orleans which I consider my hometown. Now I live in CA, but don't consider myself a Californian :-D.
2) Genre: I like historical fantasy probably best of all, but read a lot of historical fiction, thrillers and YA. I will read most anything, especially now that I'm addicted to challenges.
3) Can play the piano and a mean Rock Band guitar ;-)
4) I do a lot of knitting and needlepoint; I also like cycling.
5) I used to travel a lot -- not so much anymore. Favorite vacation was a 21 day overland camping trip through South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana.

Yeah I am not sure what to do about the bouncing cupcake, but I guess we will keep an eye on it and do the puzzles as required. The bouncing cupcakes might come in handy.

Darn it. I just submitted my answer for puzzle #52 :-)

I totally missed your message, Barbara.

That is for the "blinkie." We decided not to do that for the "bouncing" cupcakes. Mainly because this is actually a test drive for how much trouble it is to track "chunksters." (Yes, a Mod hidden agenda.)

When did cupcakes get so complicated?? I feel like I need a diagram to follow things now. Which ones were blinkie cupcakes....hmmm...I need to go read about it again, but for now we for blinkie the more participants, the more blinkie cupcakes.
The Skinny of Cupcakes
- "Blinkie" Cupcakes are for any puzzle you mail in the answer; you can use books on the Team Members' shelves that turned them in (that is why their name appears in the column); regardless of date (well, since January 1, 2013) read or page count. ☺ Plus, for the 7% Solution Challenge, you only have to use one of them and five regular to replace said book.
- "Bouncing" Cupcakes are earned by doing the series of "Spot the Difference" puzzles. You may turn them in, if someone has read a "chunkster" since April 12th, and actually get another book credited as read for your Team.

Is that correct?

I just looked at the June's Cupcake spreadsheet, and even though I've completed and posted for puzzle #42, 44, and 47, my name is not listed in the column next to those puzzles. I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Maybe it doesn't even matter?
I don't care either way, as long as our team isn't missing out on anything.
If I am doing it incorrectly though, I would like to know, so that I can participate and do it right.
:)

Did that explain it?

Ah a captain's thing. That explains how come it didn't sound familiar. :)

Update:
We are still holding strong at 4th Place!!!

I know, right? I kept looking at this one and getting cross-eyed.
