I started reading Zoo City last month, and I was so disappointed that I did when I saw this challenge-- it's really good, and I would've loved to read it for the main-character-with-a-pet challenge!

Zoo City is really good, though, and I think you'll like it. It took me a little bit to get into it, but I'm enjoying it!

I think all of us have the "is it UF?" discussion at least once a week. It's so easy to debate whether something is UF, Horror, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance...My personal opinion (and others can feel free to disagree) is that as long as you're having fun with the challenge, that's what really matters :)

Well, I was a month early for National Yo-yo Day--and it should have been even earlier yet, but I found myself picking Fastyngange by Tim Wynne-Jones up and putting it down again even after starting it, so I guess that means it was a good selection for that category?I also realized I was ahead of myself for the Parasol Protectorate series and actually read Blameless by Gail Carriger (book three) instead of Heartless (book four) as I thought was going to be the case.
I'm now up to 5/9 and have updated the original post.
