Tiff TowelsandHearts (towelsandhearts) | 291 comments Hey Jane !
Just finished Beautiful Bastard and gave it 3.5 stars. Sadly, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. *sigh* I would probably be reading Amaryllis or The Marriage Bargain next! :)

Hi Bre,

I'm glad you got one 5 star read out of the bunch! I agree that Pushing the Limits and Falling for the Ghost of You were disappointing after all the hype.

If you read The Lonely let me know, that's one crazy thrill ride!

Hi Jane - Glad you enjoyed it - this is probably one of my least favourite (the one's following The Gamble are fantastic).

message 416: by Inge (new)

Inge Karen,
I hope you enjoy Kingdom of Dreams. It's one of my all one favs and the series is also one of my all time fav.
I have actually been wanting to re-read but don't seem to find the books on kindle.
Did you find it online?

message 420: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments Brittany, I finished another pick, Tell Me It's Real, and unfortunately it did not live up to Klune's Bear, Otter, and the Kid, which is on of my faves :/

message 421: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) I just finished my first pick for this month, Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins . Strange for a romance considering the hero and heroine spent most of the book apart, but it turned out to be cute and funny and heart-warming and I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the push to read it, Nichole!

I've started on my second pick, A Virgin River Christmas (Virgin River, #4) by Robyn Carr , too.

Its still not on kindle, I have been waiting for this book to come out as a kindle edition but nothing so far. Is it out in an ebook format?

Fran | 12278 comments Hi Nairabell,

I finished another pick you gave me, Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward . Although I did really enjoy Quinn and being in his head and getting a good feel for his torment about his family, I didn't enjoy any of the rest of the book. Filled with filler, which I skimmed, typos, badly executed love story between Quinn and Blay....sigh, I was hoping for so much better. Sweet epilogue but too little too late. Three pages of romance in the entire book. 3.5* for Quinn and a very gallant Saxton. But I still have to read my BDB, it's an obsession.....thanks for the pick :)

message 424: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) I finished my second pick of the month-- A Virgin River Christmas (Virgin River, #4) by Robyn Carr . I really enjoy this series and this one was no exception. A good, solid four-star story. Thanks for picking it, Nichole!

message 425: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1010 comments I'm so glad you liked your picks so far! I've had that series on my TBR for a very long time, maybe it's time I check it out :)

message 426: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Irina--I finished my third PIFM challenge book this month, Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr and liked it. This was a different sort of read for me--it is a very dark fantasy about faeries, many with malicious intent, living among the humans and stealing some away. It was a far cry from my usual escape reading, but I did find myself invested in the four main characters and their fortunes. Thanks for the great recommendation.

message 427: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11338 comments Regina,

I finished another pick, Tigers and Devils, today and I really liked it, other than the fact that the MCs needed their heads knocked together a few times when they were being idiots! Definitely a winner though - now I need to go spend more money and get the sequel...

Thanks for the great picks this month, I've got at least one and maybe more still on my list to read.

Breann | 398 comments Hi Brittany, I finished my fourth pick Something Like Summer and wow! this was so good. Very emotionally draining, so I'll have to wait to read the next one. It went straight to my favorites shelf! Thanks!

Tiff TowelsandHearts (towelsandhearts) | 291 comments Hey Jane!

Just finished my third read, Amaryllis, and gave it a solid 4 stars! I didn't expect to be engrossed in it too much but it sucked me in. There wasn't too much romance though. :(

Glad you enjoyed it, Tiff :) I should go back and read that one - it's probably 3 years since I read it!!! I do love it's premise though - offworld matchmaking agencies and psychic talents etc...

message 433: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I finished up Falling Into You today which was one of Ruth Ann's picks form - i'm a bit comflicted over it...I think it had potential, but the writing was a bit wonky, the story intriguing though...I am a tad irked that her "next book" is going to be the same story, alternate POV - I don't get this trend

Yeah, well, in between reading all those books, I finally finished
Walking Disaster! For some reason, I didn't like it as much as I loved Beautiful Disaster (probably because I knew what would happen already) Either way, I still loved Travis!! :">

Amy J. | 349 comments Brett.

I finished The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting . I really enjoyed elements of the story (not so much the mooning and making out of the male and female lead). The plot was interesting and Violet possessed an unique ability.

Thanks for the rec!

At the Bride Hunt Ball by Olivia Parker, that is one of my favorite novel by the author.

Ruth Ann I'm so sorry, I just found these two posts. Yay! I'm glad you like both books. Both series get better with each installment so I hope you continue. Psy-Changelings gets more intense and Immortals After Dark just gets funnier and funnier.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Keep me posted if you're able to get to any of other books as well.

message 441: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Irina--I finished my fourth PIFM book this month, Duncan's Bride (Patterson/Cannon Family, #1) by Linda Howard . It was just an ok read for me--good romantic tension, but the battle-of-the-sexes storyline seemed rather quaint (although it was originally published in 1990). I've been wondering about Linda Howard, though, and am glad to have finally read one of her books. Thanks for the recommendation!

message 442: by Nikki (new)

Nikki (nikkit23) | 121 comments Joyce, I read my first pick SEAL Encounter and will definitely continue with that series! I'm not sure if I'll be able to get more picks read in the next week but I will definitely be adding them to my tbr! Thanks so much for the great picks! :-)

message 446: by Jojo (new)

Jojo | 1010 comments Hi Angela - Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you but April's been crazy busy.
I've read 2 of the books you've suggested Cowboys Make Better Lovers and At the Cowboy's Mercy (it's been a bit of a cowboy month).
They were both pretty good but I would say that while the story for the first seemed better I actually enjoyed At the Cowboy's Mercy more.
