A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 314 comments I would say I read more fantasy and watch more sci-fi. Somehow Sci-fi works better on screen, maybe the space ships:) I tend to find bad sci fi is worse than bad fantasy.

I prefer the medieval setting fantasy. I do read both but it is a lot more fantasy.

I'm with you on that :D

Michal (michaltheassistantpigkeeper) | 294 comments I'm mainly a fantasy reader, the subjects tend to line up more with my historical bent. (Well, not quite true, since the fantasy I most enjoy reading now tends to be Charles de Lint-like)

Matthew (masupert) | 0 comments It depends upon my mood. In general though I think sic fi challenges societal and moral boundaries more than any other genre. I have never read a fantasy book that makes me question "what is human?", what is morally good or bad or what qualifies for human rights.

Stuart (asfus) | 67 comments I find it hard to say which is better. All I can say is that sci fi on the big screen can be very light weight and annoy me intensley. An example of that is Independence Day.

Nick | 11 comments I read both but prefer fantasy I would probably read more sci fi if I had an e reader as it would be easier to get hold of books.

Bananas are best.

Nathan Blevins | 18 comments I find that I love both genres, but I love far more fantasy books than I do sci-fi. For some reason, I am terribly picky when it comes to a sci-fi books in terms of world-building, book mechanics, etc. Also, reability is a big factor for sci-fi and it is a hard balance to strike for some authors.

Seems you have yet to read The Wizard Knight, then.
