Denell | 14 comments Finished One silent night this weekend! It was ORSM! Everything is changing! Cant wait to read Dream Warrior but it sounds like not much is going on. Bad Moon rising will probably be where all the action will take place!

Even though the book was about Stryker...I still think he's an idiot! LOL

The part about Nick I didnt see coming! That was a brilliant move on Sherrilyns part.

*hahahahahhaha!!!* very funny, Adrienne, i think in me writing a page to page recount on events might just be worse than eternal damnation with Hades!

Shame Lauren, I dunno about that one.... maybe you should think long and hard about it. On the one hand, i dont want to tell you, "the book a waste of precious time", incase you just one day end up reading it, and then like it... for some unknown reason... and then curse me for trying to dissuade you from reading it in the first place. One the other (more dominant hand)i feel the need to rescue you from a probable dissapointment.Luckily for you, i'm not as evil as i tend to think i am... and although a confessed masochist, i dont derive any pleasure from seeing people torture themselves.
So, i will sayeth the following: "In the events of you not finding the book,Lauren, the Fates are clearly trying to send you a message."

Michelle, i agree. Dream Chaser was insanely good!!!
And i kinda liked Dream Hunter as well...
Xypher, tsk tsk... A+ that one :) I'm burning to read more about Jaden.

Ilse Snell | 112 comments So i was flipping through Acheron... again... since i'm reading One Silent Might next, and I was left wondering... why did SK humanize him so much? He ran away from demons? Didnt the demons know better than to fight with the god of ultimate destruction? the Final Fate? He could have used his powers!! he could have blinked , and they would have incinerated... but no... he got on the bike and got thrown by humans...
His mother commands the demon realm for gods sake! Talking about his mother... does anyone know where the Destroyer originated from? All I know is her powers outweigh the Chtonians... which means she isnt just a god. The only one stronger than Apollymi would be the "Primal power" ....
mmm... i wonder...
OH!!! AND in Dream Chaser and Acheron Kyle Peltier (one of the Bear cubs) is really acting fishy. Like he's got something to hide.... If he really is Katagari, why when he was injured (by protecting a Dimme of all creatures) was he in human form?!?! in Daylight?!?!! makes me wonder whether he isnt perhaps an Arcadian... come to think of it, why does Dev appear more often than not in human form... during daylight hours... I think in Bad Moon Rising there will be some shocking discovery... I think the Katararian bears arent Katagari after all... and maybe a few of the cubs doesnt belong to Papa bear...
*sniggers*
ok, i have a headache of trying to over analyse this :)

Yah Nella, I also think Stryker's an idioto! he has no idea what he's up against... and i think Apollymi is playing him.
Nick? Nick Gautier?? There's a twist involving Nick?!
OMG!!! dont tell me!!! dont tell me!!!
wait! Tell me!!!
I've changed my mind... I'll come over tonight to get my book :)

message 257: by Adrienne (new)

Adrienne yeah nicks twist is sooooo good::you'll find lots of things fall into place::i shall sayeth no more::

by the way anyone shine any light on where noir appeared from::

ilse i stopped trying to analyse:: if it doesn't fall into place first::my computer cells activate override and it is deleted from my memory banks::hence i sometimes get my facts wrong lol::

message 258: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Dammit! Adrienne.... thats like giving me a bite of an awesome chockie cookie and then snatching it away!
lol! oh well.... i will discover the "nick twist" soon enough.... after which i will take over the world!!!! (evil laugh X infinity!)
I will never be able to not analyse things...its like an anomaly... a glitch in my system... forcing me to seek the answers even if it kills me doing so. I refer to it as "The Curse of the Trade".
I will read ONS tonight... oh, wait... not tonight... i have this thing ;) ... to do...i will read it tomorrow evening... when ONS can have my undevided attention.

Thanks for the info!
yeah I think the fates are telling me something too. I had the book on my challenge to read but that is really easy to change. I think I'll read the other two dream books and then since We MUST wait till August for BMR I might just read it to get my fix that way i can say I read them all and are up to date but thats only if it is easily found. If I can't find it oh well no biggie cause there are so many other series I have started that I could read until Aug. hehehe

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Wow… everyone’s gone strangely quiet.

I recently read “love at first bite – Until death do us part” from SK… it was a short story… but I liked it. It’s about Dracula’s daughter, Esperatta and her secret husband from the enemy clan, Prince Valkan… and a Romeo and Juliet scenario gone tragically wrong….well, since Romeo and Juliet is already tragic…. Nothing can really top the dieing in each other’s arms because the family couldn’t accept them being together. Unless… the dad (Dracula) comes back to the burial scene and stakes Esperetta through the heart while her husband is captured and tortured mindlessly before he also dies. Artemis pops in, and true to herself, cant resist making another Dark hunter… she gives Valkan his vengeance over his and Esperatta’s death….Esperatta wakes up in her grave (unknown to her…. She is now immortal as well…. Since the good prince can swing some dark magic, and on their night of marriage bounded his soul to hers) she claws her way through the ground, goes looking for Valkan, and finds him killing her “beloved” dad…. She screams in horror…. Runs away …. He curses her… thinking that she rejected his love….basically a huge “wanting to kick his balls up through his nostrils” 500year kind of misunderstanding. She gets tricked into coming back to Bulgaria… the were hunters gets involved…she gets into trouble… blah blah blah…and they lived happily ever after.

message 261: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments And I also read “Dead after Dark – Shadow of the moon” – SK.
*sigh* Fury Kattalaki …. Need I say more… as I’m sure you are all painfully aware of by now, the Kattalaki Katagarian wolves are delicious beyond all comprehension… they ooze and drip s*x appeal…. Excreting the strongest pheromones known to man kind…. Locking on to you with wolf eyes like you are prey to be stalked.Drawing you in with their deadly auras and swaggers like they own the world.
And before long, you find yourself wanting to be a wolfswan… wanting to howl at the moon… wanting to grow your auburn hair to a banshee like length… run naked through the house and jump off your porch … while growling and showing your fangs to anyone who dares come close enough to stop you from your destiny…..

That’s how I feel about the Kattalaki Katagarian wolves…. A part of me is yearning to rip my accounting books to pieces…. And follow my animal instincts … as I run through the fields, secretly hoping my nails won’t get dirty ;)

Quietitus? *sniggers* yah, thats it!! i heard a rumour that its spreading like wildfire :)
Good Question Adrienne, Vamp on Vamp... I've never read a book like that as well... all the vamps want to dilute their gene pool with humans... although, more often than not, the humans turn into the living dead as well. Even in this book, "Until death do us part" the female is human... sort off... and although the Prince can wield magick.... he is human too... until he dies and sells his soul, that is.
You might like it...I dont know.... It doesnt give alot of background since it is a short story.
I read an electronic version, and is consequently stalking the guy at our bookstore wanting to know when the actual book will arrive so that i can add it to my SK collection.
I find fascination in everything i read these days... from the billboards to the milk cartons. I dont trust my book judgement anymore. LOL!

*Bwahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahaha!!!!!* Your neighbours are peeping toms! *eh* what the hell... better now than when you're 80.
re: Auburn vamp girl... okay, i can respect that... to each his own... I've always been a wolfswan...
Although, there was this one time i came dangerously close to swinging my vote... and that was when i read "Story of Son" - JR Ward (included in the "Dead After Dark" book) and OMG! That Vampire guy was hot on a level which words fail me...i was blinking and staring at the pc several times to just let the idea of a hot vamp wash over me. And the intimate scenes! i swear, I blushed from my neck to my ears...and felt it creeping up my cheeks as i gaped for what seemed like forever!! JR Ward just gave my very visual brain that extra push into the "dark side".

message 266: by Denell (new)

Denell | 14 comments Adrienne! dont give Ilse anymore ideas with that Kattalaki cousin! She's so far immersed in the Dark hunter world i'm afraid she'll never be the same again! :)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Daimon on Dark Hunter - the Scottish dude Cael (sp) from Dark Side of the Moon.

message 270: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 126 comments I liked the "story of the son" I stll liked SK's story about Fury better. hehe

message 271: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) I like how her short stories add to the world, but aren't specifically necessary. I hate to feel as if I'm missing major plot points if I don't read the short right away.

Oh, and I totally agree, Ilse, that there's something up with the bears. But they have to belong to Poppa bear. Weres can't have kids unless they're with their mate. I myself thought that there might be an Arcadian in the brood, which implies some sort of cross breeding in the family between the katagaria and arcadian sides.

The daylight thing: once they've reached maturity and if they are powerful, an arcadian can be out in daylight as human. But you're right about injury. They revert to "natural" form once injured. I don't know if that's automatic though. I think they can hold off for a time, depending on the extent of the injury.

message 272: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments It looks like the count down is getting closer until BMR!!! I cant wait any longer!

message 273: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) I just realized I meant to write a Katagarian can be out in daylight as a human. Oops!

Chasidy, I'm totally ready for it! But a lot of great books have come or are coming out this summer. The new Jeaniene Frost is out first week of July! That should be a good one too.

"the story of son" will be quick... a few hours max, then you can return to your book that you were previously reading,Adrienne. I cant read many books at a time as well.... I tend to want to overlap the plots then...
I'm still to read the "Black dagger Brotherhood" ... I'm sure i will like that series alot.

re: Katagarian bears.... dammit, i forgot about that little mating detail.

message 276: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments OMG, Michelle I know! There's too many books coming out this summer. I still haven't read Jeaniene Frost's third book yet, but I will.

Ilse, go read the BDB books! They are awesome! I started off with the BDB series and then randomly picked up the DH books. Ultimatly I have a hard time choosing which series I love the most. I always go back and forth about it and in doing so have read both series A LOT of times. :D I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

message 277: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Well... in that case, I'm sold :) thanks Chasidy!

PS: is it important to read the BDB chronologically?
i think i have "lover unbound" at home somewhere.... but i dont want to read the book if its like 5th in line, and leaves me confused... maybe (hhhmmm) ... yes, i will get the first book, and work my way onto the next. Now i'm excited!!!

message 278: by Adrienne (last edited Jun 11, 2009 11:15AM) (new)

Adrienne hi ilse::yes you'll need to read them in order::the setups follow on from book to book::so if don't read them in order you wont know the why's and the where fors or who's who:):: they are really very good tho'::

message 279: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Ok Adrienne... will do.... actually, already did :)
Last night, after dropping by the bookstore, i got Dark Lover BDB1.... AND me being me, i was just a lil curious.... i just wanted to peak at the book... and then i ended up "peaking" at the first 50 odd pages.
OMG!!!
Its like crack! (Or what i imagine crack to be like!) I couldnt get enough of it!!! I was hooked, and had pull my eyes away from the next chapter. OMG!!! Wrath is so deliciously dirty :) and Elizabeth! *shock!!shock!!* Luckily she finished her dinner with Butch before "the change" Or Butch would have been wearing a big smile on his face!! and MR X! annoying as hell, but a strategically brilliant bad guy.
WOW guys!!wow.

message 280: by Ilse (new)

:(

message 281: by Adrienne (new)

Adrienne yes::crack is the way i describe them to:)::the problem is when you've read them all how do you cure the itch:)::fortunately i've still got butchs book to read:: i couldn't find a copy at the time::anyway long story but a copy found me a few weeks ago::so my addiction will be ok for a while::i'm reading sunshine at the moment::but may well have to put it on hold while i read LR::damn knew i shouldn't have read Story of son::set my addiction off again::anyway glad you like DL:)::and yes they're really deliciously dirty every one of them::

message 282: by Denell (new)

message 283: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Adrienne, the copy found you?? hehehhehe... Thats an interesting way of putting it :)

Thanks for letting me in on the BDB "circle" :)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Nella, I agree... that stack of yours needs to go... hehehehehe... put it somewhere else... like the shelve opposite your bed. And then fill that spot with 1 book... namingly Dark Lover BDB!!!
You seriously need to join me on my BDB quest... 1 more book isnt seriously going to make a difference now, is it?!?
JR Ward writes very well.... c'on you'll like it.

message 293: by Chasidy (last edited Jun 16, 2009 11:40PM) (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Ilse, I dont think anyone corrected your assumption for what DL and LR is. It stands for Dark Lover and Lover Revealed. :) BDB books are pretty... uh, whew smokin' if you ask me. Just wait till you get to like Rhage and Vishous's books. My two favorite characters.. Okay, I cant choose a favorite but damn, those brothers are sexy!

SARA! You are so right! Zarek and Zadist are pretty similar. They both got that sinister-ish feel to them. :) Butch sorta reminds me of Nick. LOL, what do you think?

message 294: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 112 comments Oe Chasidy, I agree... Zsadist and Zarek... very close call... although, damn Zsadist is one sinister and troubled man. If i have to choose between the two Z's... then i think i would go for Zsadist, without blinking.
I've read Dark Lover and Lover Eternal... and is now on to Lover Awakend. And Rhage is HOT yes, insanely so! And i love how the characters come back in each different book....like snippets of everyone's life is showing in each book... Kinda like watching Days of our lives... with out Stephano who keeps popping up from the dead :)
