I just finished Unwholly and it was okay, I think it was pretty much used to set up the 3rd book which it did really well. As a stand alone I was really hoping for more!

Russellat5 wrote: "Was world war z uninteresting?"It's an interesting book but it's done by interviews by a bunch of people who witnessed the events so I find it choppy and it can't get into the plot since each eyewitness is about a page and a half long from all over the world you never grasp characters. Still debating whether to keep reading it.
I'm currently reading Scarlet & The Immortal Rules. I like them both so far. Reviews coming up soon (at my Blog!

I all I have the first books of three series on my shelf and I was wondering what series people enjoyed!?

Awesome!! Well, the writing in Shatter Me will either be really beautiful for you, or really odd and annoying lol! I was the former and fell in love with the writing but then didn't like the second half of the book that much due to some issues I had with the plot. But most people loved it. The romance was pretty well done too. Gone is an awesome series, in my opinion. It has a more middle grade feel to it, but lots of action and a very complex plot with well developed characters. Not much romance though if that's what you're looking for.
For me, Matched is a not-as-good version of Delirium. Slightly different plot but not as beautiful writing as Lauren Oliver. It's a decent read though.
Not sure if that helps!
I had serious feels about Shatter Me and Unravel Me, haha. I'm currently reading Noli Me Tangere, the greatest Filipino classic of all time.

Just finished the Gone series and really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed David Estes' converging series Dwellers and Country sagas. For those who posted about Finnikin of the Rock- you may enjoy the Muirwood series by Jeff Wheeler. They remind me of each other though I can't pin down why. Now off to find what's next...

David you should definitely read Plague as soon as you can- those books are all so amazing!!!!!!!
And I'm reading For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway right now. It's a great classic, but I can't read too much of it in one sitting...

That sounds great- I can guarantee you'll love it!
I've never heard of Birthmarked, is it going well??? And what did you think of The Testing- it looks interesting.

I really liked The Testing, and Birthmarked is such a different concept than some of the other dystopian books I have read lately it's a nice change so far.

Joann wrote: "I really liked The Testing, and Birthmarked is such a different concept than some of the other dystopian books I have read lately it's a nice change so far."I've heard really good things about Birthmarked. I've got it on my TBR ;)
I'm reading the third Rot & Ruin book
If you like zombies and haven't read these, they're an amazing YA series with some really creative twists on the old zombie apocalypse :)

Me neither, other than John Green's short story/novella Zombicorns. I really want to read some zombie books and maybe I'll start with those.

Riya/Lilac- I'm not really into zombie books and yet I love these ones! The writing is good and funny and the plot is really creative :)

Cambrie wrote: "I'm reading, "Clockwork Prince," it's good so far! Cassandra is such a gifted author"I NEED to read that!!! Literally everyone is telling me about Cassandra Clare's books and I still haven't read them!!!
      Finished

at 3 am this morning. xD It was really good, and has an interesting twist on the zombie apocalypse/dystopian idea...and I'm not really a zombie person. Next I think I'm going to read this book that came out recently:

technically, ID comes before MI but you can read them in any order. though, ID makes sense of quite a few things in MI.

I am reading city of lost souls and I love it!!! I'm only on page 120 and got super emotional when brother Zachariah came in!!! Ill just say I am very glad I read TID before TMI!!!

      I'm currently reading

 and

. I have

,

, and

on the side burners. I don't know if I can finish Shatter Me though. The writing style is just throwing me off!

      Currently reading Whispers Underground

the third book in the Peter Grant series - brilliant urban fantasy. Funny and supernatural and like a grown-ups Harry Potter.

      Two non-dystopians at the moments:

 and

. Thinking about starting

next but last books make me nervous.

Nice books Joann!!!! I need to read Under the Never Sky, and I just got Shatter Me. How are you feeling about Divergent right now? I loved it!!
