Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Girl of Nightmares (Anna, #2) by Kendare Blake a couple days ago and just haven't updated. I liked it more than Anna Dressed in Blood, honestly, but they were very different reads from one another.

Up next Charlie Bone and the Time Twister (The Children of the Red King, #2) by Jenny Nimmo

I am starting that book next! Glad to hear you like it!

Now to really start Charlie Bone and the Time Twister (The Children of the Red King, #2) by Jenny Nimmo

Did you like An Ember in the Ashes? I am going to start that one soon :) i loved the Assassins Blade and the whole Throne of Glass series!! It was probably one of my favorite series.

I totally agree with you that Throne of Glass and The Assassins Blade are really good. I thought An Ember in The Ashes was good. There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews on it cause some people absolutely loved the book and others were highly disappointed because it was hyped up before it was released but I think it's worth reading. It didn't take me long to get through the book cause there were so many "edge of your seat" parts. I throughly enjoyed the book and I hope you do too! :)

message 1512: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Charlie Bone and the Time Twister (The Children of the Red King, #2) by Jenny Nimmo It was better than book one, imo, but while I liked both, I loved neither. The premise of the series is really interesting though, and so I read on.

Up next, More Than This by Patrick Ness

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished More Than This by Patrick Ness today. Very slow start, but also a very strong finish. It's a book I recommend everyone consider reading at least once.

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I just finished Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee and it was so good! I stayed away from it for so long because I was afraid I wouldn't like all the angel stuff since I'm not a Christian, but it wasn't too heavy handed at all. Just started the second book!

I love this series and the mom is one of my favorite supporting characters!!!

message 1527: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Rotters by Daniel Kraus last night, and while it sounded kind of interesting, I am surprised at how much I loved it. Very, very good. Most of you folks should read, but fans of The Monstrumologist series absolutely should.

Up next, The Zodiac Legacy Convergence (Zodiac, #1) by Stan Lee , which I just know is superhero related and had Stan Lee's name on the cover.

message 1528: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I gave up on The Zodiac Legacy Convergence (Zodiac, #1) by Stan Lee . I wanted to love it, I really did. A superhero novel series for kids that Stan Lee helped put together, sprinkled with really, really good comic style art throughout. almost 200 pages in though and I was just bored the whole time :/

I started Hold Me Closer, Necromancer (Necromancer #1) by Lish McBride and am now a bit over halfway done with it. I am loving it WAY more than anticipated. Pleasant surprise for a book I picked up based strictly on thinking the cover was cool and having an interest in necromancy from video games I've played haha.

message 1529: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Hold Me Closer, Necromancer (Necromancer #1) by Lish McBride earlier tonight. Absolutely loved it. I wasn't ready for it to be as hilarious as it was.

Up next, Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy (The Children of the Red King, #3) by Jenny Nimmo

message 1530: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I'm reading The Scorpion Rules by Erin Bow - it's good! Really interesting premise and it's rather unpredictable.

I'm also reading The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson which is very disappointing. :/

Hooking up with her dead sister's boyfriend is just a bit too much for me. Ick! But it's getting better - I'm about halfway through.

message 1534: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 53 comments Totally ick!! But it does get so much better!!

message 1535: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy (The Children of the Red King, #3) by Jenny Nimmo a couple days ago. I really liked it. Favorite book in the series so far(only 3 in, ut, I believe, 8).

message 1537: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Necromancing the Stone (Necromancer, #2) by Lish McBride yesterday and, man, I loved it. It's borderline criminal that there are only two of these books.

message 1539: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Dust and Decay (Benny Imura, #2) by Jonathan Maberry and absolutely loved it.I didn't know what to expect going into this series. It's not your typical zombie tale, that's for sure.

message 1542: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I'm almost finished with The New Order (The Young World, #2) by Chris Weitz - I love it as much as the first! Up next... not sure - I just got approved for a bunch of arcs that I want to start, but I also want to finish the Throne of Glass series. Decisions are tough! haha

message 1543: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished The Rise of Nine (Lorien Legacies, #3) by Pittacus Lore last night. I liked it, but it was easily my least favorite in the series so far. Still gonna read the rest though. Good stuff.
