Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments Listening to my heart and other black holes, and reading rot and ruin. Both r pretty good so far.

BriAnna | 98 comments I started City of Heavenly Fire but don't want to take on that large of a book right now. Now I'm about to start Paper Towns.

I was not a happy camper with City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6) by Cassandra Clare especially the end it kind of dragged for me......

message 1459: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments It seems like every other MI book dragged. I definitely want to finish it since I've come this far. I'm not in any hurry though lol

message 1460: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Since I last posted I've finished Bone, Vol. 3 Eyes of the Storm (Bone, #3) by Jeff Smith Bone, Vol. 4 The Dragonslayer (Bone, #4) by Jeff Smith Bone, Vol. 5 Rock Jaw, Master of the Eastern Border (Bone, #5) by Jeff Smith , Locke and Key Vol. 4 Keys to the Kingdom by Joe Hill Locke and Key Vol. 5 Clockworks (Locke & Key) by Joe Hill Locke & Key, Vol. 6 Alpha & Omega by Joe Hill , and The Curse of the Wendigo (The Monstrumologist, #2) by Rick Yancey

4 more books left in the Bone series, a fantasy both epic and hilarious

Locke and Key is... well kind of indescribable. Recommended for "mature" readers. So long as you feel you fall under than umbrella and are not opposed to reading comics, I highly recommend.

And Curse of the Wendigo was just amazing. I really, really like The Monstrumologist, but its sequel blew it out of the water, IMO.

Next up for me, Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer

message 1461: by SARAH (new)

SARAH | 14 comments Wait, Abbie - did you say that there is going to be a Mortal Instruments TV series? I live outside of the US and don't have access to regular TV. What channel will be playing it?

My favorite thing about the MI series is how it ties into Infernal Devices!!! That is the only reason I kept reading because every couple 100 pages there was a puzzle piece put in place!! I <3 The Infernal Devices!!

message 1463: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 53 comments There is also going to be a Lux Series!!! I can't wait for that one!!!

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments I still have to read that series

message 1466: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer Last night. Absolutely loved it, just as much as I loved Cinder. Both 5 stars :)

Up next, Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer

message 1467: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (eliza_paints_stars_in_the_sky) Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard I'm currently reading Red Queen which, in my opinion, almost seems like a female version of Red Rising.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Elizabeth wrote: "Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard I'm currently reading Red Queen which, in my opinion, almost seems like a female version of Red Rising."

Is that a good thing, bad thing, or a neutral observation?

message 1469: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Last night I finished Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer My favorite book so far in a series that is shaping up to be one of my top 5 or 10 series ever.

This morning I finished Bone, Vol. 6 Old Man's Cave (Bone, #6) by Jeff Smith Good god, I've never seen hilarity and drama balanced this well.

Up next, probably The Isle of Blood (The Monstrumologist, #3) by Rick Yancey

These Violent Delights (Robin) I'm currently Reading....

I love that one!

I just finished Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas , going to start the next one tonight.

message 1475: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished The Isle of Blood (The Monstrumologist, #3) by Rick Yancey last night, and while the first two books were excellent, this one won me over just a little more because of the way Yancey focused on certain relationships and how he made me flip flop on my opinions of certain characters.

Up next Sidekicks by Jack D. Ferraiolo , a cape and tights story by an Emmy winning TV writer. Should be fun :)

Um i guess it's both a good and bad thing i guess? Red Queen was good but there was a lot of lack of detail. It seems to be a popular book which irritates me a little because Red Rising is a lot better and has some of the same aspects as Red Queen but it isn't as well known. The storylines were very similar in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend Red Queen because it keeps you on the edge of your seat but at the same time I would HIGHLY recommend Red Rising. Hope that makes sense. lol

message 1477: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (eliza_paints_stars_in_the_sky) I'm currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas . I honestly really love this book and can hardly put it down but it's not as "beastly" as i thought it might be.

Makes tons of sense, actually haha. I plan on reading both but will let Red Rising cut in line haha :)

message 1479: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished Sidekicks by Jack D. Ferraiolo and am blown away by how good it was. Wasn't ready for that at all, I got it as something light to break up my darker reads. It is, IMO, every bit as good as the Lunar Chronicle and Monstrumologist books I've been reading recently. Different, but equal in terms of how much I enjoyed. I doubt I'll convince many to check it out. Trust me, I almost passed on it. But if you do skip it, you're passing on what might very well end up being my favorite read of 2015.

Up next, finishing off the Monstrumologist with The Final Descent (The Monstrumologist, #4) by Rick Yancey *excited*

message 1480: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished The Final Descent (The Monstrumologist, #4) by Rick Yancey Not my favorite series, but one that stands alone in a very unique way. I doubt I'll ever read another series too similar to this. Fantastic.

Now I'm starting Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles, #3.5) by Marissa Meyer

message 1481: by Linda (new)

Linda (lindamarie12) | 1 comments Just started reading Divergent and so far I am loving it. I don't know why it took me so long to finally get it.

Ivy | 35 comments Just finished Defiance (Defiance #1) by C.J. Redwine and now on to Deception (Defiance, #2) by C.J. Redwine . I'm really enjoying these and can't wait to see what Deliverance (Defiance, #3) by C.J. Redwine brings. Have a great day all!

message 1483: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 4 comments Currently dipping in and out of Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Read all those books but love this one and like to dip in and out whilst reading other work. Getting ready I think to do the same again with Divergent..

message 1484: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles, #3.5) by Marissa Meyer today. I quite liked it, but not quite as much as I liked the other 3 books. Still, very good. I'm excited for Winter :)

Tonight I'm gonna start Bone, Vol. 7 Ghost Circles (Bone, #7) by Jeff Smith

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Bone, Vol. 7 Ghost Circles (Bone, #7) by Jeff Smith today. Bone is phenomenal. I don't know how I've been a comic reader all my life and never got to this series before now.

Up next, Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1) by Kendare Blake

I like it, but I'm just not that into it. I keep switching to other books. :/

message 1491: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I just finished Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1) by Kendare Blake I liked it, but didn't love it. There were more pros than cons though and I did become invested in the characters so I'll for sure read the sequel.

Up next I'm gonna read the first book in a series I've meant to read for years Midnight for Charlie Bone (The Children of the Red King, #1) by Jenny Nimmo

message 1492: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished Midnight for Charlie Bone I really liked it, but can't go so far as to say "loved it". I am intrigued by the rest of the series, though.

Up next, some comics reading Bone, Vol. 8: Treasure Hunters while I decide what novel to read next.

message 1498: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished Bone, Vol. 8 Treasure Hunters (Bone, #8) by Jeff Smith and am mad at myself for getting to one of the greater comic series I've ever read so late in life.

Up next I'll either read Bone, Vol. 9 Crown of Horns (Bone #9) by Jeff Smith (the final book in the Bone series, not counting the 2 prequels and 1 companion book(I'll be reading those as well)) or Girl of Nightmares (Anna, #2) by Kendare Blake

message 1499: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished Bone, Vol. 9 Crown of Horns (Bone #9) by Jeff Smith Now all I have is 2 prequels and a companion book before being able to say I've read the entire Bone collection. Such a remarkable series.

Up next, Girl of Nightmares (Anna, #2) by Kendare Blake
