Rebecca wrote: "How is the Nicholas Flamel series?"Well, I haven't started the last book yet, so I'll try to remember to tell you my thoughts once I finish it.
As of now, being 5/6 of the way done, I like it. It's slow at times and there are some info dumps that, to me feel like the author put them there just to let us know how knowledgeable he is(especially in book one). When things do get going though, it's a fun read. And the real life historical and mythological creatures add a lot to it. Also, it gets better every single book(*except maybe the last one).
I recommend checking book one out at the library or borrowing it from someone, and if you enjoy it at all, I think it's worth it to go on.

Thanks. This is helpful. I like the idea of borrowing the first and see what I think. Might just check it out....
Finished
and while I cannot recommend it to all here(*it's firmly in the r-rated category), the story ended up being a lot more beautiful than it had any right to be.And now to focus in on

It seems the best approach because, while all people's tastes will differ, I imagine most who enjoy the first book even a little bit will enjoy the rest of the series.
Just finished Matched. Trying to decide if I should read Crossed, HP and Prisoner of Azkaban, or take a break and go for the only non series book I have, Riding Hood. Any opinions?
If you enjoyed Matched, give Crossed a try. I managed to finish Matched but didn't like it enough to give Crossed a chance.
I decided to read Red Riding Hood so I could take a break from series. It is pretty good, it's different from what I usually read. I'm going to try to read Crossed next and finish that series so I can read the rest of HP back to back.
Ivy wrote: "I loved the matched series!!"Me too, it makes me sad how much hate it seems to get! I think I liked Reached the best from that series.
Just finished The Pearl by John Steinbeck and just started The Program!!!! I'm on page 122 and I absolutely love it so far!!!
Finally finished
Not the best book in the series, all and all, but the ending got me like whaaaaat?!Also finished
and
. I've been meaning to read these comics for years and am so glad I finally started. So far it's equal parts hilarious and epic.Up next I'm gonna read
to finish up the Vengekeep Prophecies trilogy. If it's as good as the first two, this could be one of my favorite series.
Wren wrote: "I just started Midnight City by J Barton Mitchell. Not sure what I think about it."I liked it, never got around to reading the second book.
Andrea wrote: "@Jessica. I'm in chapter thirteen and so far I'm loving it. I don't even want to stop reading."How is These Broken Stars so far???? I thought about reading it this summer.
@ Jamie. I'm just in chapter 2, so I will need to read a little bit more to actually say something about it :/
Andrea wrote: "@ Jamie. I'm just in chapter 2, so I will need to read a little bit more to actually say something about it :/"Lol that's ok! Will you keep me posted?
@Jamie. Yeah I will! Right now I'm 15% done and so far the book has my attention and I'm finding it interesting.
@ Vega_girl. I read that series a while ago and I remember loving the plot and all the obstacles the main character face. Hope you enjoy it

. Seriously, guys, you NEED to read these books. They deserve to be one of those series like Percy Jackson that so many people gush about. In fact, I prefer it to Percy Jackson.Up next
Reading siege and storm!!!! I love this series! It's getting really good and I really like the main character. It's taking me so long to read it because we've been soo dang busy, goin out of the for a funeral and then catching up with school and cleaning. But u hope. To. Finish it today. :)
Yea, I enjoyed the mortal instruments series. Not my favorite, but I got invested Nd still enjoyed it :) I loved the infernal devices series though!!

I just finished The 5th Wave and I really enjoyed the plot and how we got the story from more than one perspective. However the main chick (Cassie) is a little frustrating ! I'm enjoying Ringer's character a lot more !
So onto The Infinite Sea
I had started the 5th Wave a few months back but could not keep focused on what I was reading.. I felt it dragged on about nothing in the first half... Maybe I'll try it again in the future
I just finish the Pulse series.. I really liked them. Now I'm on the The Winners Curse.. Half way through first book and enjoying it.
