You should add the Mortal Instruments to that list."

Kind of ironic, because I've never read it. lol
I plan to try (again) in October. First time through I stopped after 15 pages.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I do love the PJ books.

I could not finish City of Bones. Tried twice and just couldn't do it. I wanted to love it so much too haha.

message 1053: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments Oh gosh! I bought four of the mortal instrument books so now I'm scared I won't like it :/ I heard if you get through the first then it gets way better. I hope so! I'm having a hard time finishing Beautiful Creatures, it's just kinda slow paced and a lot is irrelevant. They could have taken about 200 pages out and it would have been perfect but they've drug stuff out. I'm going to tough it out and read them all though..

message 1054: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I couldn't do Beautiful Creatures. I can't remember when I gave up, but I didn't finish the first book.

I liked tmi, but I didn't love it like everyone else seems to. But yes, I thought the first book was the worst, so if you can get past it, you're good.

message 1055: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments I literally just finished BC, it drug out so much!!! But I'm going to read a few books then start the second one in the series since I already bought them lol. It's sad though because the concept is awesome, it just wasn't carried out properly. This could have been a really great series.

Well, I seem to be in the minority about TMI, so hopefully you'll like it.

I liked the first BC book, but couldn't finish the series.

message 1057: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments I'll let y'all know how the rest of the series goes. Hopefully I can make it through.

message 1058: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra Custard (ToxicInyx) I'm reading In the End by Lunetta. So far it's great, but I hate the fact there won't be another

message 1059: by Wren (new)

Wren (wrenlee) I'm sadly I'm not reading anything dystopian. I'm catching up on the realistic trends currently by reading Stephanie Perkins. Thankfully, I'm being true to my action-loving nature and hating it.

message 1060: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Cassandra - I'm reading that too! I have about 50 pages left. There's some plot holes towards the end, but it's still so good that they don't really bother me!

message 1061: by v.v (new)

v.v | 442 comments End by Lunetta a series Cassandra, because I remember reading another book that goes along those lines.

@ BriAnna, the first 4 books in the TMI series were probably the best in the series but it kinda deteriorated after that. But it was still good overall, so don't be TOO worried. :)

Honestly BC was horrible and all the book after, and now their writing another spin off series to that.

v.v | 442 comments Good luck, I hope you like it.

message 1064: by Hanna (new)

Hanna (hanawe1) | 44 comments I'm currently reading three books, and it messes a bit with my head. I'm about 30 pages in in Blood Red Road by Moira Young. And it has been talking me over a month. It's really hard to read, since there are no quotation marks. It kinda feels like a burden right now.

I'm also in the middle of If I Stay by Gayle Forman and The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead.

message 1065: by v.v (new)

v.v | 442 comments What kind of book gets published without quotation marks? The Golden Lily was amazing, I hope you love the series!

message 1066: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments I really liked If I Stay and I lovvveeed Golden Lily, you need to read the rest of the series. It's great! The final book in the series comes out in Jan.

I just finished "If I Stay" last night and read "Where She Went" at work today.. We were slow lol! Both very good!

Starting "Beautiful Darkness" tonight. Hoping I can make it through the rest of this series.

message 1067: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I think I got like 2 pages into Blood Red Road before I just said no. lol I've heard it's a good story, but I have a hard time reading books that are written with intentionally poor grammar.

I love the Bloodlines series too - I feel like it keeps get better with each book!

I'm in the middle of Let's Get Lost for my work book club - it's cute! And I'm audiobooking Unhinged, which I'm loving!

I also found it unreadable because of the lack of quotation marks

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments lol Brianna! too funny. man I am totally loving these movies. but watching them makes me want to read the books again since they left out so much

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Guess who got Harry Potter from the library today?!?!

Obviously I have to finish We Were Liars first, but I'll definitely get it started sometime this week. It better be as good as everyone says! :)

I'm curious to see what you think about it. It's my favorite series of all time, but to me it doesn't get THAT good until around book 3. 1 and two are still very good, though.

message 1080: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments yay Jessica!!!! I'm So excited for u! I finished reading the books 2 weeks ago and just finished watching the movies. I have not gotten over it yet. I seriously want to reread them again lol. I've been watching YouTube videos of jk Rowling and other harry potter stuff. I love it!!! I really hope u love it too :)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments finished we were liars earlier... still not sure what to think about it. never had this feeling after reading a book

message 1082: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead last week. I liked it roughly the same as book 1.

I'll be starting Body & Soul (The Ghost and the Goth, #3) by Stacey Kade tonight or tomorrow.

message 1083: by Wren (new)

Wren (wrenlee) Reading 'Perchance to Dream'. Not a dystopian but more fantasy and supernatural.

message 1085: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Body & Soul (The Ghost and the Goth, #3) by Stacey Kade last night. The trilogy was better than I would've expected based on the, frankly, cheesy title(The Goth and the Ghost) and covers, but it was nothing special. I don't regret reading it, but won't reread it either and can't recommend unless I know it meshes with someone's taste perfectly.

Starting Coraline by Neil Gaiman tonight. I have no clue why it took me this long to read this book.

message 1086: by v.v (new)

v.v | 442 comments OOh, TOmmy I hope you like that book!

message 1089: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments Just finished Beautiful Darkness and will be starting Beautiful Chaos.

message 1090: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Reading Etiquette and Espionage. I didn't think I liked steampunk, but I'm really liking this!

message 1091: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I finished Coraline by Neil Gaiman this morning. It was enjoyable, but I really wish I could've read it when I was about 12, or at least before seeing the movie.

I think I'm gonna start The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater tonight. Not 100% sure what it's about, but hey, it's in front of me and has a cool cover so I'll give it a shot.

message 1092: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments Any suggestions for something 300 or less pages and a good pace. Keeps your attention? I've had a short attention span lately :/

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments Jessica have ur started reading harry potter yet?

message 1096: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I finished the first one. I liked it, but I didn't think it was life-changing. lol I have the second one from the library and will probably start it when I'm finished with Infinite Sea.

I've been super sick this week. Too sick to read, which is the worst. So I've fallen a bit behind on my reading.

message 1097: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments yea it gets amazing like at book 3, I hate being to sick to read. glad ur better. I gotta read the 5th wave. I think that will be my next book.

message 1098: by Jessi (new)

To me Sorcerer's Stone was solid on its own, but not amazing. After reading the whole series and then going back to book one, though, that's when I really started to love it. It's a solid solo book, but an amazing start for the whole series, if that makes sense.

message 1100: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments yea I was debating on reading the whole.maze runner trilogy over since I reread the first book because we r going to see the movie tomorrow. but I didnt even get a chance to read all of it... my grandparents r in town so I figured it would.be rude to read while they r here... boo. but I think I'll start the 5th wave. and then I also want to read the monstermoligist (sp) since I've heard such great things
