Gina Daniel, yes, I have. It's a def. favorite of mine too. I was so thrilled when I came across Gone in the library. I've bought most of them now - am missing Plague.

He's got another series out, I believe.

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments @riya, yea I'm so ready to get done with the book, I've been somewhat skimming through, just a hair

message 953: by Riya (new)

Riya @alison Haha I know what you mean :)

Betty Cross (bettycross) | 70 comments After some months delay, I finally got around to reading Champion by Marie Lu. I loved it. The end was deeply moving, and a bit sad, but also deeply satisfying in a way some other dystopian trilogy's 3rd books (hello, Mockingjay) we're not.

message 955: by Dayang (new)

Dayang (ddayang) The Odyssey! :)

My thoughts exactly. I'm glad you loved it! By far one of the best YA trilogy endings.

Brittany (gentlebean) I thought the ending to Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu was soap operatic! It was such a good series, but like many trilogies, lost me on the final book.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished The Polaris Uprising (Polaris, #1) by Jennifer Ibarra (which I liked) and The Magic Thief (Magic Thief, #1) by Sarah Prineas (which I really liked) last night. I recommend both, particularly The Magic Thief.

Starting Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu today. I didn't like the first two books as much as many seem too, but I am intrigued to see what happens in this one after the end of Prodigy.

message 959: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments finally finished ruins!!!! so happy to be done lol. it was pretty good, it ended OK. glad I finished it to see how it all.worked out. now onto cohf!!!!!! so excited!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments I just finished Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu I didn't love the series, but it was an enjoyable read.

Now I'm torn between reading Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2) by Veronica Rossi and Lost (Magic Thief, #2) by Sarah Prineas I really enjoyed the first book of each of those series.

OOOOR, I may start rereading the Harry Potter series. That's been on the to-do-list for a while.

Decisions, decisions...

message 961: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments I love love love the through the ever night series! I would go with that, but I haven't ever read any of the others

I really loved the first book and just keep hearing that the second is quite a bit better. That's what I'm leaning towards also.

Magic Thief I kind of slipped into by mistake, really haha. It's good, if you're a fan of what I call "standard" fantasy stories.

You've never ready Harry Potter? My favorite series, easy.

message 963: by Gina (new)

Gina Rereading Harry Potter is something I love doing. I never tire of it. I've reread the series at least 4 times and individual books a lot more than that.

message 964: by Maria (new)

Maria (trappel) I am currently reading Ensel und Krete. Ein Märchen aus Zamonien which is pretty good

I've re-read the first three and never tired of them. Haven't committed to a full series re-read yet though. So many new books to read. I have book ADD

message 966: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2) by Veronica Rossi I loved the first two books in this series and reeeeally hope that the third doesn't disappoint.

Read the first chapter of Lost (Magic Thief, #2) by Sarah Prineas last night.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Alison wrote: "finished the lunar chronicles last week and loved it!!!"

There's still another Lunar Chronicles book coming out, right? Winter, I believe.

message 970: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Love Lunar Chronicles. And yes, the next book is Winter and doesn't come out until 2015 I think.

I'm in the middle ofHalf a King - it's different from what I normally read, but I like it. Kind of like a less intense Game of Thrones. Still dark, but not as soul-crushingly dark.

I'm also readingRequiem - I'm having a hard time getting into it. Loved the first book and then meh.

And I'm rereading Poison Princess - I was going to wait to reread until it's closer to the release date of the third book (1/2015), but I just couldn't wait!

message 971: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments yea it comes out next year, so I'm excited about rereading them

message 972: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just started Rebels City of Indra The Story of Lex and Livia by Kendall Jenner by the youngest two gals on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. My hopes are low, but when I saw a giveaway for it, I was too curious not to enter and, bam, I won.

Let's see how this goes.

message 973: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Lol Tommy - I heard about that one! Apparently they didn't do much of the writing, so maybe it'll be okay!

message 974: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Jessica wrote: "Lol Tommy - I heard about that one! Apparently they didn't do much of the writing, so maybe it'll be okay!"

Let's hope so, haha. I went into it expecting it to be pretty bad, so even if it's just meh, I count it as a win.

message 975: by Betty (new)

Betty Cross (bettycross) | 70 comments I'm not interested. It got a terrible review on io9.com

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Betty wrote: "I'm not interested. It got a terrible review on io9.com"

Fair enough. I, personally, don't look much at reviews because my taste is so scattered. Including, it seems, in quality haha. If it's that bad it'll get another terrible review haha.

BriAnna | 98 comments I'm reading the Four collection by Veronica Roth but I'm having a hard time after finishing Allegiant, has anyone else had this problem? Maybe because I'm still in shock (lol)? Or is it just hard in general to read this type of work after finishing a series?

message 986: by Kwancheche:) (last edited Jul 22, 2014 09:00AM) (new)

Kwancheche:) | 2 comments I am reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth and omggggggg

I got it a week or so ago and I still haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'm excited about it in theory, but in reality I just can't get excited about it. Don't really know why...maybe because I've already had my closure with the series?

Me too!!!!! How's the Four collection? I just felt super duperly sad for Four after reading Allegiant and I couldn't continue with the Four collection, it just seems weird to me, coz the Four collection is a prologue which I found weird after knowing all the stuff that Four is going to go through and go back to the starting point hahahhah x Anyway, i'm still struggling to calm myself down with the sad ending of Allegiant D;

message 989: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments The first few stories have been good. The Transfer and The Initiate but I'm stuck on "The Son" right now. It's good but I feel like I should have just ended with the series. BUT this was a signed copy so I HAD to order it lol! I'm going to finish it this week but it doesn't have me excited like the series did. I want to finish it before "Silver Shadows" by Richelle Mead comes next Tuesday :)

message 990: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments I loved loved loved the four collection, but i also love four. I got very emotional through the whole thing, and wished it never ended!!! but i am a huge fan of divergent.

message 991: by BriAnna (new)

BriAnna | 98 comments I love Four but I really think since I just finished Allegiant, I'm still depressed lol! Four is on my top favorite character list for all books I've read.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Finished Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky, #3) by Veronica Rossi last night. I didn't love it quite as much as the first two books, but, man, what a great trilogy.

I'll probably continue my Harry Potter reread and crack open Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling later tonight.

It's always a concern that the second book won't be as good as the first one, I really enjoyed If I Stay but I have been delaying Where She Went. I hope it turns out ok and that you like it.
