message 867: by Gina (new)

Gina I've just finished The Knife of Never Letting Go and have started the second one.

I'd heard so many great things about this trilogy that I finally had to check it out for myself. So far, it's brilliant.

I'm on the waiting list at the library for the 2nd in the Legend series.

I highly recommend Michael Grant's Gone series, btw!

সালমান হক | 11 comments Gone is on my TBR list!! hope to read it soon.

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I've definitely been there! Sometimes it's too hard to stop reading!
I thought about buying The One but I've been buying so many books lately. Ugh, I'll probably end up getting impatient and buying it anyway!

message 879: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments @hannah, I loved it!
@jessica yea I spend way too much money on books! my husband says I'm easy to please because I tell him all I ever want for mothers day, valentines day, birthdays whatever, is books :)

message 880: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Damnit, I just broke down and bought it - only $11 on Amazon. Of course this meant I had to buy the others because I can't have an incomplete series. lol

message 881: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments lol!!!! do u only but kindle books?

message 882: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments I never buy kindle books. I have the kindle app on my phone and tablet and sometimes I'll get ebooks from the library, but I like owning physical books, even though I have absolutely no room left on my bookshelf!

message 883: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 31 comments I agree that I like a physical book Jessica. but I just finished the one and oh my goodness I loved it so much

message 884: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments @jessica oh OK thought u were saying u bought the book on kindle at amazon but u bought the actual book lop. yea I love buying actual books, even though I have no to as well lol. its so addicting buying books!!
@hannah, wasn't it!!!!

message 885: by Betty (new)

Betty Cross (bettycross) | 70 comments I was slow to catch up w/ the Ebooks phenomenon, but when my own books started coming out in electronic format, I changed my attitude. The house my spouse and I share is so loaded w/ books and other things from the six decades we've been alive, that storage space is at a premium. I prefer to buy Ebooks now. They take up no additional space and are often cheaper than the softcover equivalents, and virtually always cheaper than the hardback versions.

message 886: by Betty (new)

Betty Cross (bettycross) | 70 comments I'm looking forward to Champion. I have it on hold at my local library. I have the first two as Ebooks and highly recommend them.

message 887: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments so I decided to read variant because I bought a while ago for 2 dollars and I figured I'd read lunar later since the series isn't done yet. but anyways, did anyone else get the maze runner vibe while reading variant?

message 889: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 203 comments Alison, tell me how Variant is. I heard it's really good.

I just finished 1984, and I don't know what I'm reading next, there's so much on my shelf!

message 890: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) | 364 comments Alison: Totally. The plot is different, but they definitely both have a similar feel.
I thought Variant was good, but not great. There's a plot twist around halfway through that I was not expecting - it's nice to be surprised by books occasionally!

message 891: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments just finished variant and dang, what an ending! gotta get feedback asap

message 892: by Dayang (new)

Dayang (ddayang) Hi guys! :) I'm currently reading Dorothy Must Die. I'm about 80 pages in? I have to say, I was quite unsure about the book before reading, but now, I pretty sure I'm gonna enjoy the whole book.

message 893: by Dayang (new)

Dayang (ddayang) Are you enjoying it? It's on my to read books. :)

I'm leeching on this and bumping it up on my to read list based on the "if you like"s.

message 895: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Ruby wrote: "Well, that's just for me. I don't know how you would like it, but I think you will. its kind of more of the Pullman His Dark Materials Trilogy style. kind of oldish writing, if you know what I mean. but not like the Hobbit or anything "

I get what you mean with the "oldish writing" exactly. And it does nothing to deter me :] I only read The Golden Compass out of the HDM trilogy, but I liked it and just haven't gotten around to reading the next yet. Should bump those up on the list too... haha

message 896: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Wheeler (muchadoaboutmusic) | 5 comments I'm on the last page of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It is soooo sad, but the book is really well done. (Aside from Bruno's complaining;-) )

message 897: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments just finished feed back and it was pretty good, the ending felt to quick but it was a good read, kept me reading

message 898: by Alison (new)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 525 comments partials series by Dan wells, taking a minute for me to get into it, but hoping to b done with the series by the time cohf comes out

message 899: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 203 comments partials was a DNF for me.
It took too long to get into.

message 900: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 196 comments Just finished Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu Didn't love it as much as many seem to, but I enjoyed reading it.

I'm leaning heavily towards starting Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi next.
