Reaghan | 52 comments Ooh, I would really like to read On the Jellicoe...and Insurgent.

I have to recommend Murphy Lives Here. I just finished it a few days ago and it really opened my eyes to something I knew nothing about. http://www.goodreads.com/search?utf8=...

Phantom of the Opera

HZar Worth | 66 comments The Canarsie Flash, not saying it is top choice for book of the month, just trying to spread the word about our novells, best wishes.

Amber (bermarie) | 47 comments I quite liked Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson . I read his Maximum Ride books and I feel like because that series was ending around the time this book was published it didn't get the recognition it should have gotten. So I think this or The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer just because they made a movie and it was a good book!

Maria | 9 comments I know this came out a while ago but i have to say "Scent of magic" from Healer series by Maria V. Snyder

message 107: by Bri (new)

Bri Triffitt | 6 comments I've never read it myself but It's Kind Of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini sounds really good. It's semi-auto biographic which i find really interesting.

I would vote for this as it is on my list of to reads.

message 111: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (deathserum) I think it's fair that April BOTM be Insurgent since Divergent is for this month and it'd be good to continue the series since the third book is coming out later this year.

Brittany Perry | 229 comments Patricia wrote: "I think it's fair that April BOTM be Insurgent since Divergent is for this month and it'd be good to continue the series since the third book is coming out later this year."

I agree and then people wouldn't have to buy another book. However for those of you who haven't read The Chronicles of Nick. Those might be good since Kenyon has a new one comin out soon like next monthish.

message 113: by Jeff (new)

Jeff Pavkovich | 22 comments If you want to read something interesting, for pure enjoyment, something that doesn't make you think too much, where you know the good guys from the bad guys, I'd suggest the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

message 114: by Alma (new)

Alma | 24 comments I would definitively vote for Insurgent since it's the second book in Divergent series, and for the second BOTM Wonder by R.J. Palacio (since second book seams to follow more emotive theme)

Gabriel Rosado | 5 comments Lookin for Alaska Looking for Alaska by John Green is a good one

message 116: by Martina (new)

Martina Vidret | 13 comments Insurgent would be great, and I would love to read Les Miserables, as the movie was released and everything

Shawna Laura wrote: "I just wanted to remind you that you have until march 15 to make your suggestions and then i will open the poll."

Do books need to be seconded to make it into the poll?

message 119: by Tee (new)

Tee I second Les Miserables!
I wanted to read it soon anyways.

message 120: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 229 comments The only bad thing about les miserable is its size has anyone read or looked at it? It is as thick as Bulfinche's mythology easy. The language is also a little dated so if you can't get through Jane Austin or Heart of Darkness, I really don't think you have a chance it is a massive undertaking

message 121: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisamarie1987) | 22 comments It's looking like "Insurgent" is a clear winner for April. I would like to suggest "The 19th Wife" by David Ebershoff :)

message 122: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 229 comments Just checked it out and that looks good, it would expand people's tastes but would also be familiar in wording.

message 123: by Tee (new)

Tee Les Mis is a doorstopper. It's massive.
Since you do two titles at once, it could be interesting to cover one title over two months and still have another title both months as well.
I just know that these books are the type that are more easily read as a group. Discussions could bring valuable insights into the novel. I would cherish the opportunity.

I agree it could be done over two months for most people. It is a good book I've read it myself was just curious and wanted to make sure people understood what they'd be getting into with it. I'd hate to see no one read but one book of the month.

message 125: by Jon (new)

Jon (jon17) | 82 comments What about a third group read just for classics? I know many people want to read classics (myself included) but there is almost no chance for a classic to be a top two pick.
Also, one every two months for the longer ones does sound like a good idea.

message 126: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 229 comments that is a good idea

Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition Gabriel wrote: "The Book Thief"

Yes! The Book Thief is one of my favorites!

message 129: by Tee (new)

Tee For all of you interested in the classics, there is a book club here on Goodreads called Classics Without All The Class. I am also part of that group and its pretty fantastic!

message 130: by Belinda (new)

Belinda I'd go either The Perks if Being a Wallflower or The Catcher in the Rye

message 131: by Brittany (last edited Mar 13, 2013 02:25PM) (new)

Brittany Perry | 229 comments I read Catcher in the Rye in high school. Most of the schools around here assign it. I second delirium and insurgent

message 132: by Tatiana (new)

Tatiana (tatianadiaz) | 12 comments I Also nominate The Host :)

message 133: by [deleted user] (new)

Catalyst by Anne McCaffrey
Claws by Mike Grinti
Love Saves the day by Gwen Cooper
Catacombs by Anne McCaffery

message 134: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 229 comments Love Anne McCaffrey dude. She is the best but I have only read her Dragon Riders of Pern set

message 135: by BattyKat (new)

BattyKat (prosserkat) Funny. I just picked up The Host tonight! It's my next read.

message 137: by Kristie, Moderator (Retired) (new)

Kristie | 5928 comments Hope everyone is about ready to vote! There are so many great suggestions!

message 139: by Cristin (new)

Cristin (cristinreads) | 6 comments I'm liking the suggestions but why all the ya books? It seems they are the majority of all the suggestions. I'm ok with ya, but if thats all we're going to read then we should recategorize the group. Anyways, I've been severly lacking in ideas as to what I should read next. So only book I can think of is Gone Girl.

message 140: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Perry | 229 comments I think the reason there are so many ya is because everyone on here isn't over eighteen so it would be hard to suggest J.R.Ward's Lover at Last or Sherrilynn Kenyon's dark hunter novels. Either of those are Romance which I love. If you are looking for blood and guts see J. R. Ward's blackdagger brotherhood, if you want lots of twists a demon who loves barbeque sause and fighting go with Kenyon. If you tell me what kind of books you like I could recommend more. I read everything.

Dina | 5 comments Patty wrote: "The Painted Girls"

The Painted Girls sounds awesome. Maybe also The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society or The Princess Bride

message 142: by Trish (new)

Trish | 8 comments The princess bride would be great. Have been meaning to read it for ages

message 144: by Cristin (new)

Cristin (cristinreads) | 6 comments I don't think age should limit people to YA books. I read plenty of non YA books in middle and high school. Anyways I have some more suggestions

Man in the Blue Moon
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Mysterious Affair At Styles
Where Are the Children?
Dead until Dark
Snow Crash

Also I'm thinking putting a sequel in the mix may not be a good idea for a few reasons. One being for new members, they're not going to want to read the second book in a series if they haven't read the first, and they may not have the time to read the first. And second, what about the members of the group that weren't big fans of the first?

If the majority don't want to read it then they won't vote for it.

Cristin (cristinreads) | 6 comments I also forgot to suggest this book. Awesome steampunkness and it's free on kindle!
