So I'm thinking that by the end of the month this is my plan for the group: Reorganize a bit (the general folder is crowded), create Buddy Reading, make sure we have BOTM stuff going, set up a bunch of new discussions (and commenting in all the old ones), and I think that's it!!!

That's what I said in an earlier post, so for now I'll do that?

Sounds like an awesome idea!!! We should try to take some of the book folders we have and just put them under the genres instead.

But what if their are a lot of books under of Folder (such as Paranormal). Won't the folder become to clustered?

And Riya I just found a group called "Teen Critics" and I really liked the format and the challenges and stuff so we could totally use that group for inspiration and ideas especially since ur a mod there too!!

Haha yeah! I'm glad you like our format there, and so we can definitely bring over some of the formatting like challenges and stuff :) I have to send my laptop in for repairs this week, but I'll get it back on like Saturday or Sunday, so I'll do some big renovations and stuff for the group then!

and yeah the movie folder sounds good and i left a comment for them, letting them know id get back to them because i noticed a couple of the mods for the group have been MIA for the past while so i need to take care of that first

Well phase one of the resurrection of this group would be making it more active and getting the members to be a bigger part so all of us should do what we can to make this happen....plus there seem to be quite a few unused and cluttering folders and threads :P

You go girl!!! You really know what your doing, so in about a week or so you can send this out letting the group know whats going on and reminding them about the BOTM.

I finally made time to send out a msg to the mods that havent been to active and hopefully they'll reply letting me know whether or not theyre still intersted in the job if not there are a couple people interested in helping out plus we shouldnt have too many mods cause then it would get a bit confusing

That's a good idea about the message. And I'm about to make an archives section right now and start clearing that up.

I was also thinking that we should start a bunch more book discussions, sicne we have like none?

After going through our group I decided against an Archives section. Since all books are in folders right now, it wouldn't really clean much up. Unlike other groups where book discussion are grouped by genres, ours are grouped by author or series so we have more folders and less discussions in each one- eliminating the need for an Archive section.

What we need right now is to just make more discussion to get the group going.

Alright sounds good although I notices for a couple books/series there are like 15 threads with like 2 comments in each and its been that way for quite a few months should those be removed because they take up a lot of space and make the group look a bit cluttered

If they're only 2 comments do you want to delete them or move them to the archives? Doesn't matter to me, and I can easily create an archives section :)

Other than that organization stuff, the other things I want to get going are: Buddy Reads, a December BOTM, and just new discussions in general.
I plan on setting up the Buddy Reads today, and if no one else does, I can do the BOTM stuff. I think we should kinda get all this going so that we can send out a nice big newsletter in the beginning of December showing everything we've done :)

I think deleting them would be better after like a certain amount of time cause they've been there for so long if they were popular they would have picked up already

That is super awesome let me know if you need me to do anything, and another question i sent out a message to two of our mods that have been AWOL and havent received a reply does waiting about a week sound fair before I unmod them? i'll send them another msg just incase tho cause they have helped out a lot in the past. let me know what you think
