A friend of mine sent me Pretty Little Liars and I wasn't sure about it at first, either. However, the characters are very sharply defined, far from perfect, and sorta nasty. In short, they're pretty realistic although some of the dialogue and events are more than a little over the top. But it moves along quickly and it's pretty involving. It's also very well written.

And so far I'm loving it. Very light and entertaining read.

message 4865: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Well I can honestly say that Pretty Little Liars is not my kind of series. Almost done with the first book, and I can honestly say that I have no clue why I rated it a 3 stars when I first read it a few years ago.

When I finish the book I will read: Après-Ski by Suzanne Vermeer and De Adoptiemonologen by Marina van Dongen
