I had a problem during one of the challenges with GR not recognizing my shelf so you could try assigning another shelf to the challenge or try typing it differently - good luck! :-)
I remember I finally got GR to accept the shelf but it was something weird like spaces or dashes or capitalization that it didn't like...eventually I got it to work & hope you do too. I think by now we have all experienced these GR glitches :-) keep trying and eventually things work out.

I'm currently reading Vanish by Tess Gerritsen. This is my fourth time reading this book, so clearly I think it's pretty good. One of the main characters is in the Medical Profession so the book meets the Spring Reading Challenge :-)
I am slowly finishing The Mediterranean Caper by Clive Cussler. 40 pages left but also tons of moving is happening right now so I should be finished with it soonish but yeah, it has a green cover. Just wanted to let everyone know where I was at since I haven't given any updates.
Rachel wrote: "thanks josh!did you move to your new place?"
We are in a slow process of moving. I should be all moved into the new place by April 5th at the latest. Then JURASSIC PARK 3D in theaters!!! But anyways, the challenge I will be taking on next, will be the Doctor one after the Green Cover one. lol. I Will be finishing
, I am doing my Michael Crichton book marathon once I get moved in and settled! =D
I guess the first two books I read they don't want to count lol.oh well I have actually have read 4 books for he challenge. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff- first page of To Read book....then An Irish Country Doctor- Ireland
Just finished reading ACCELERANDO and RULE 34 by Charles Stross, and just started SPIN by Robert Charles Wilson.
Madjack wrote: "Just finished reading ACCELERANDO and RULE 34 by Charles Stross, and just started SPIN by Robert Charles Wilson."thanks for the update madjack! what task(s) did these books meet (horror novel, 1st page of your tbr, etc)?
hope you're enjoying the challenge :)
I'm currently reading
and it is the most hilarious book I have ever read! I have LMBO during this whole book.
A Girl's Guide to Vampires has been sitting on my shelf for a long time. Now I want to read it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Did you move to your new place?"
Yes. And yesterday I got my scooter I've been wanting since last Summer. Lots of things happening at once - I guess that's how it goes. :-)

Just got internet at the new place. I am all moved in but still unpacking a few things. I should be done by this Sunday. I love how my room is laid out. I even have a little book corner in it. lol. Anyways, I finished one challenge while being gone. I read,
] By Cussler Clive. This isn't the edition I read BUT mine has a green cover on it. This is the edition I have. http://bcuniversal.com/cc-images/mc-a...The Mediterranean Caper was a great Dirk Pitt Adventure but the ending really disappointed me. If you are into adventure stories such as Indiana Jones or
(Also a video game series.)I highly recommend the read. The next book I have started is A Case of Need by Michael Crichton. The main character is a doctor and most of the other characters in the book are also doctors. I am over halfway done with the book so far.
I just finished a challenge. The doctor challenge! A Case of Need by Michael Crichton writing as Jeffery Hudson. It was like the TV show ER and any mystery novel had a baby. The main character is a doctor and does doctor things but he solves a mystery to clear his friend's name. I really enjoyed it.3)

by Clive CusslerI am starting The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton. As of right now it is book 15 of my to-read section. Hopefully that counts as first page... mine auto scrolls so I dont know if it is first page or what but it was one of the first books I added to it in November of 2009 when I joined. I am pretty sure it has doctors in the book as well. lol.
Just finished The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton. Great book about a scary theory that sounds really plausible. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves techno thrillers! =D It also completes my tbr challenge!3)

by Michael CrichtonI am now tackling the EARTH challenge. THE teRminAl Man by Michael Crichton.
josh- have you read congo & disclosure- I read them both years ago and really liked them (both by Michael Crichton)
Rachel wrote: "josh- have you read congo & disclosure- I read them both years ago and really liked them (both by Michael Crichton)"I read the beginning of Congo a couple of years ago... I was really bad about not finishing a book I started. I loved the beginning. I have not read Disclosure yet. I have read Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Prey, and the other two I have posted above. I have all of the books Michael Crichton has released under his name except for Twister and Micro. I am reading every Michael Crichton novel in order of release, including rereads, right now so I will get to them all probably by the end of May is my hope. So you will see a lot of Michael Crichton in my challenge. =D

The antics of Stephanie Plum always makes me laugh out loud."
I have been wanting to read the first one. I loved them movie. lol.
thanks for the update Christine :DI really need to try those plum books one of these days- everyone says they're a lot of fun
Josh and Rachel, the Stephanie Plum series is a lot of fun, great entertainment. I guarantee they will make you laugh out loud. They read fast too.
Just finished another challenge, E-A-R-T-H, with The Terminal Man by Michael Crichton. It was great. Tons of medical sciency stuff with a great thriller at the end. It was a thriller up the last page. I highly recommend it to fans of thrillers, scientific fiction, and Dean Koontz fans. 3)

by Michael CrichtonI am now starting The Great Train Robbery by Michael Crichton. Not sure if I can use it for a challenge I haven't done yet, if not, I will use it for a challenge I have already done.

One of the longest books on my TBR list: The PostmanIt was very good and I am glad I found a treasure in the huge pile.
Finished another Challenge. It took me only 2 hours to finish. XD I did completed funny horror with Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. Its about A vampire hunting cat, a skeptic dog and a vampire bunny. Its filled with tons of laughs!!!1)

by Michael CrichtonI am slowly reading The Great Train Robbery, and planning on reading Howliday Inn (Bunnicula 2) by James Howe. Other than the first challenge, it doesn't count as anything else but the third book, Celery Stalks at Midnight, does once I get to that book. =D
Finished The Great Train Robbery by Michael Crichton. It it fits into the E-A-R-T-H challenge I just finished which is the only thing it fit into, unless the simple fact that a lawyer in the book counts but isn't the main character. Reading Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton now, It once again to my knowledge only fits into E-A-R-T-H challenge unless the vikings in the book wonders into Ireland... I hope. XD
Wow Josh! It looks like you are close to reading all of Michael Crichton's novels. You've read some oldies but goodies. I read Pirate Latitudes last fall. It did not feel like anything he had written before. It was a good book to read on the beach though.

I am reading them in release order since I haven't read most of them but I do LOVE everything I have read. Jurassic Park and The Lost World (I have 4 copies of each book cause I am just in love with it and have a bad habit of destroying the book.) being my favorite books I have ever read. =D
thanks for the updates Josh & Christine :)I haven't read Crichton in a long time- maybe I should check out Jurassic park. disclosure is my fave one of his- so sad that he died so young.
Christine wrote: "What do you like best about Crichton's books? Jurassic Park is one of his best for sure."My favorite part HAS to be the science and how he blends everything in so realistically. If I didn't know The Andromeda Strain was fiction, I would had thought really happened, especially with how he opened the book. lol. Unless its Jurassic Park and The Lost World, then its how he presents the dinosaurs, cause they seem so real, like I could reach out and tou...read them???? Crichton directs a movie in my head much better than the movie actually did, though I did see Jurassic Park 3D and FINALLY saw Jurassic Park in theaters a few weeks ago!!! lol.
I will be reading One For The Money soon. I checked it out from the library yesterday along with another book. So I am taking a little break from Crichton for the moment after Eaters of the Dead.
