Hardest Thing About Reading A Book

did that make sense?

Being interrupted.
Having it flop on you, you know the ones that start out so good only to either bore or just end up being bad.
Books that are so great that you enjoy every moment only to have it end leaving you wanting more of the story/characters only to find out there will be no more :(

I'm not a fan of being interrupted when reading but it takes a lot as I seem to be able to shut most things out (had a lot of practise as a kid, people seemed to enjoy trying to annoy me when I had my head in a book) so quite often they have to block my view if they want something lol

Also, I have to be firm with myself on reading at night. I used to accidentally oversleep and miss work sometimes years ago when I was younger - lol - from staying up all night stuck in a book. Books, night time, and having to get up early the next morning can be a dangerous threesome for me.

But the hardest thing for me is reading books until they fall apart and having to replace them and being sad that I don't have the same cover or edition I once did. They're mortal, and have a lifespan. :( DON'T TRY TO TELL ME ABOUT EREADERS, OKAY? Technology is much worse in my opinion. I have a genius for breaking anything electronic or even mechanical and usually my phones end up in the washer and dryer. An ereader would last about a month at most before I'd find some creative way to kill it. What happens to coffee makers around me is unholy.

1) Being interrupted. Like... "Hey, have you seen this case, etc"... For heaven's sake, it's my break time can't you just leave me in peace so I can read the freaking book and not have to read the same line fifty times?? Yes, I hate being interrupted while reading. My family usually leaves me alone.
2) Sleep deprivation. Last week was hell for me because I was going through The Hunger Games back to back. I had almost through the weekdays and end up sleeping like I've been dosed up with tranquilizer for the entire weekend!
3) Character death. I don't know why, but character's death got to me and it usually makes me wanna go back and re-read the lines fifty times just to make sure I did not read it wrong and half-hoping I actually did read it wrongly.
Other than that, I don't really have a problem. I can finish a book without any hitch, I know it's going to end anyway, so I just get over it quickly...

2) Abandoning a book. Some are just too plain awful to finish reading, and although I can count on one hand the times I've done it, I don't like to.

We won't talk about how long I keep library books sometimes. I haven't exhausted my library's renew limit yet so I'm not sure what it is but it's got to pretty high (I think my max is five times).

The hardest thing about reading a book for me is finding uninterrupted time to immerse myself in the story. I always want to disappear for longer than I should!
1stopping
2reading it too fast (which means it will end too fast)
