Alexandra (alex-) | 2 comments This book is from the YA genre , intended for teens by Sarah Dessen.
I can only remember one scene from it and i cant remember any of there names, it goes like this : the main girl(A) is at another girls(B) house(i remember the house being run down, maybe a trailer?)and girl b is giving girl a a makeover and she curls girl a's hair. Girl a takes out one of the curlers and looks at it as girl b walks into the room she says something along the lines of 'you know i was going to brush the curls out, but leaving them as they are is so much better'. Then my memory skips on to a later scene , a party scene were girl b is sitting in the back of a open van then a guy walks over to her(probably the main guy soon to be the love character of the story) they talk for a while , shes nervous and is thinking this isnt really her kind of scene.
That's about all i can remember, oh and its not Dreamland,This Lullaby,Just Listen,What Happened To Goodby or Lock and Key, so i hope that narrows it down for you.

I haven't read it personally, but in the Wikipedia summary it mentions that Macy, the main character, goes to a party with some coworkers. Later on, she and Wes (someone from the party) end up stranded in a van that's run out of gas.

Lily | 8 comments As Angharad mentioned, it sounds like 'The Truth About Forever.' I read it not too long ago and I you've described the scenes exactly.

Sorrel | 9 comments It's definitely, definitely The Truth About Forever. I remember the scene exactly :-D The van is really an ambulance and you're right about the trailer.
