I start work next week, so I have no idea how much time I'll have to read/how tired I'll be after work, but I'll definitely read for the readathon. My goal is to finish The Black Poets and The Alchemy of Happiness.
I also need to get started on The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory. It's on my "currently reading" shelf, but I'm only on page 8 or 9, haha.
I think I'll use this time to plow through Mason and Dixon. I've tried reading it three times and hoping to get through it for good. After that, i have lots of other books on my tbr list!
My plan is to try to finish "Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen", which is pretty long, and I've procrastinated so much that there's still a lot to get through. I hope I'd be able to reach as far as I can, if not till the last page. Hectic days ahead, but I'm going to be satisfyingly busy! ^_^
It's funny how many of us are reaching for non fiction for this particular Readathon. I've got three in mind to try to finish finish.
1) And The Band Played On
2) Wild Swans
3) Stiff
I've started all and put them aside for one reason or another. I'm thinking about grabbing some bonus points for completing something "abandoned" since each was started and sidetracked at least year ago.

I'm going to try and finish The Republic of Thieves (which I've been reading for a while and keep getting stuck on) and White is for Witching (which I just started today and is looking to be a quick read)
I'm going to finish The Book of Speculation which I've just started this morning, and then start The Time Traveler's Wife.
Well, I just completed Before I Go To Sleep, so I'm thinking of starting a new book, but first I have to try to finish A Single Man. It's not a long book, it just makes me think a lot.
I love that people are gearing up for the readathon and even thinking about using the time to collect extra bonus points for the month! This week is a bit busy at work so I'm hoping to have time to dive into:MWF Seeking BFF: My Yearlong Search For A New Best Friend (previously abandoned)
The Girl on the Train (Thanks for the recommendation Leanne!)
The Rumor (my favourite beach read author)
jus finished last book of Percy series The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. It's time for Indian Mythology.
Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi.
I'm planning to finally finish One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (I finished Part One and put it aside and havent picked it back up for weeks now so that's a priority). Then I'll read Lolita and The Hunger Games trilogy (reread the first one and finally finish the whole trilogy)
I'm going to try to finish Jane Eyre this week. I work full-time so it'll be a challenge, but I have a summer class starting on the 13th and after that recreational reading time will probably be limited. My RL book club is reading "The Dog Who Knew Too Much" which I have on hold at the library. If it's ready this week I'll have to set Jane aside and get that read.
FangirlDunblane Never Forget
How We Met
These are the ones I'm fairly confident I'll finish. If I manage to do that I'll make a start on The Hunger Games.
I am planning on reading Crocodile on the Sandbank to start the Readathon. I am going on vacation, switching to The Red Badge of Courage That is a paperback book, leaving my E reader at home. I have tried to read The Red Badge of Courage twice, just never finished it.Iasa good luck on the Mysteries of Udolpho. it is a chunkster.
I plan on finishing We were Liars for the readathon this week. I also have a lot of books on my TR list but I don't know what I plan on reading. I'm going to go to the library and see if I can get All the Bright Things and Belzhar. Not sure how much I will get done but I'll keep everyone posted.
I have three big bags of library books to read so I plan on working my way through a number of those during this read a thon.
Plan to finishThe Joey Song (a mother writes of her relationship to her addictive son)
The Red Shoe: Margaret Atwood (she is the author of The Handmaid's Tale)f
Start and Finish
Heaven (have already read Hades and will read halo some time in the future)
Chase wrote: "I'm going to finish The Book of Speculation which I've just started this morning, and then start The Time Traveler's Wife."Well, new plan because of course a library book I've been waiting on becomes available. Finish The Book of Speculation, and start Reconstructing Amelia instead.
I will for sure be finishing Flowers for Algernon by tomorrow night. Then I'll be reading The Night Circus before they all have to go back to the library Friday. Plus I have a ton of books on my Kindle I haven't touched. I should finally get to a couple of those.
I'm super busy working full time and i have lots of softball games this week, but i hope to finish The Husband's Secret and get started on Still Alice. Happy Reading!
I'll be able to get some decent reading in up until Saturday. I need to finish two books -
After that I'm not sure, I will be reading at least one or more of these books -
Need to finish the non-fiction essay book My Bookstore: Writers Celebrate Their Favorite Places to Browse, Read, and Shop. I also need to eventually finish an anthology I've been reading ALL year (seriously) been doing so badly with anthology challenge this year (obviously) - Hungry for your love
When I finish these, I want to start this month for my next reads:
The Camelot Shadow by Sean Gibson (Fantasy)
A Game of Thrones (Fantasy)
Divergent (Young Adult)
Batman: The Long Halloween (Comic series)
Blackest Night (Comic series)
The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal (M/M Romance)
Pet Semetary by Stephen King (My next horror read)
Angel Town by Lilith Saintcrow (Next UF Read to finish that series)
Death by Darjeeling (Next Mystery Read)
They didn't have the books I wanted to read at the library. I got out Please Ignore Vera Dietz( going to try to read it by the end of the day), Glory O'Brien's History of the future, Everyday, and The Adults. I'm also going to see what I can read of Hollow City and The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I realize that this is very ambitious to read in one week but I'm going to see what I can accomplish.
Andrew, Glory O'Brien is on my list to read this summer. I can't wait to see if you like it! Have fun with you picks for the week.
Thanks Kassandra I will! I'll also be sure to let you know about Glory O'Brien. I really am liking A.S. King's books
