Aimee (msaimeeangel) | 30 comments All I can remember about this particular book is that while I checked it out several times as a child, I cannot remember the title or author of the book. The context, from what I remember had information about the human body; nails, digestive system, nervous system, and more. But it was told in a humorous way and with a "professor" doodle/character. Perhaps there was also a doodle of the system they were going to talk about next on the intro page, I ain't really remember. Also, the only lines I can recall are something about eating a balanced meal and how a ham sandwich and chocolate milk could take care of that but was a disgusting combination and about not chewing your nails since germs could jump in your mouth that way. Also the book had interesting details and facts like the longest nails ever and such. Any help is appreciated since I am looking for this book for my young niece, as it could be of help to her as it was me.

Cheryl (cherylllr) So, when were you a child?
Was it big and flat, mostly pictures, or was it an illustrated 'chapter' style book for kids who are reading without help?

Aimee (msaimeeangel) | 30 comments I probably read the book probably six or seven years ago...and it was in a "chapter/section" style as it was a book aimed at twelve or thirteen year olds.

Rachel Harry | 34 comments I don't know what this specific book is, but I have some suggestions. If you want to give your niece a book about the whole body, The Way We Work by David Macauley is good for her age. A really good book on reproduction for her age would be, It's Perfectly Normal, by Robie H. Harris. Another very good one, especially for embarrasing things is The Period Book by Karen and Jennifer Gravelle. The authors are mother and daughter and the girl was just fifteen when she co-wrote it.
