Before he left he tossed a little bit more food in Copper empty bowl and then grabbed his keys. He left the house locked and went over to the murder house. He went inside and cleaned up a bit, since it was kind of a mess. Then just chilled on the couch and waited for her.
On the drive, Emerson was distracted by her reflection in the rearview mirror. She looked fine, of course, but in situations like this she craved perfection, not wanting a single blonde hair out of place.
Once she parked in front of Bones' house, she checked the address another time and looking in the mirror again before heading up the sidewalk. She took a moment before ringing the bell, waiting outside.
Once she parked in front of Bones' house, she checked the address another time and looking in the mirror again before heading up the sidewalk. She took a moment before ringing the bell, waiting outside.

"Hey," Emerson said, noticing he was about to let her in. She hooked a finger toward her car and asked, "Do you want the herljik and bottles first?" She mentally slapped her forehead; she had just gotten here and already she'd been rude. She stammered, "You know, so I don't forget it in my car," she said with a breathy laugh.

Emerson followed him and the package to his own truck after locking hers. When asked about plans, she fidgeted. "To be honest? I haven't thought this far ahead. I wasn't sure you were going to say yes." She chuckled and shrugged. "I don't really care.... What do you like to do?" she asked, interested. She looked around the street, running her free hand through her hair.

Emerson raised her eyebrows with a smirk. "So this is a date?" she teased, knowing it was. "And I'm sure you would know that those aren't normal ideas most guys have in mind for a date." Still, she followed him back to the house. "How about we go for a walk?" She searched her brain for an added idea. "I think... There are fireworks tonight," she remembered. "It's like the town's anniversary or something."

Emerson laughed through her nose, wondering if he was serious or not. Deciding against either, she followed him out onto the sidewalk again. "East of the park, but the field will be full..." She thought about it. "There's the old field- the one that isn't used anymore." She figured Bones was like her and didn't much want a date ruined by the stupid humans.

Emerson gave him a look. "You can't be- Wow. You're serious." She was quiet for a minute or so, then she shrugged while nodding her head. "Yeah, okay." What was the harm? It wasn't like they were going to kill anyone, and it did sound like fun. "But how are we going to distract the fireworks guys?" She shook her head. "Nevermind, I can take care of that. You just get a hold of them."

((Blegh... My notifications keep messing up.))
Once they reached the clearing, Emerson spotted the truck backed up to the tent that was to be unloaded into. "Send me a signal when you've got them, okay?" she instructed, fixing her gaze on the three workers by the tent. The woman of the three was called off on a walkie talkie and left, leaving Emerson to only have to deal with the men.

"Hey-!" Emerson turned to slap his hand, but Bones was already gone. She huffed, fluffing her hair. "Right," she murmured, heading towards the men at the tent. "Be universally sexy." It was like a mantra, one that she quietly repeated until she was close enough that the men could hear, which was when they noticed her.
Emerson flashed her best 'helpless girl' smile, along with an apologetic face, and the two shared a glance. "Hi- yeah, I'm so sorry, but I've seemed to have lost my earring. You remember me, right? I was over here earlier?" For good measure, she hugged herself and rubbed her arms as if she were cold.
"I think we would have remembered a face such as yours," said the younger looking one with a southern drawl as he gave her a once-over more than once.
"Oh, god, you know what? I don't think the tent was set up yet. But I have to find my earring -my grandmother gave it to me before she passed." Emerson's voice was wobbly, her eyes pleading. "Would you two mind helping me look?"
Again with the once-over and the shared glances. "Sure," they said in unison.

Emerson narrowed her eyes when she heard an off-key bird noise, assuming it was Bones. She yelped, "Ohh! I found it!" she jumped to stand up, pretending to work the fake earring into her ear. The men brushed themselves off as they stood, looking to Emerson expectantly. She gave another squeal and brushed the barest of kisses on each of their cheeks before saying good-bye and leaving the stunned men as she jogged back into the woods.
Emerson lightly punched Bones in the arm when she met up with him, using the other to wipe off her mouth in disgust. "Took your damn sweet time," she barked in a whisper, looking at the cases.

"Hey! Laughing at what?!" Emerson hissed, easily catching up to him and taking one of the boxes. After they got a ways away, a bunch of yelling could be heard about miscounting boxes, and Emerson laughed and followed Bones to wherever he planned as the shouting grew louder and the night sky grew darker.

Emerson smiled at his warm hand, following him to the tree. When Bones asked about climbing, Emerson rolled her eyes. "Of course, but only if you go first," she replied, gesturing to her dress. She waited for him to climb before following suit, settling on a branch and leaning against the upper truck.

"Got what?" Emerson looked over at him, assuming he wasn't asking if she was incapable of sitting in a tree. She turned her attention back to the chaos, amused. "Stupid humans," she muttered, watching one man in particular begin to yell at a teenage kid. Something about being in charge of the 'explosives'.

Bones chuckled softly, "Nothing" he said and looked out at the humans as well. They were all grossly over reacting. Especially since the watchers didn't have to pay to get in. What was the big deal about a few hundred fireworks he'd never know. "ridiculous"
((Mine don't work either :/))
Emerson watched for a while until someone yelled at a group of volunteers to go buys more from a black cat tent, even though they were probably sold out. She turned back to Bones with an amused expression. "Want to go to the beach now?"

Emerson followed suit, landing in a crouch before standing. "Let's just walk," she replied, turning towards where they had dropped off the boxes. "I don't think it's that far. Unless you would rather drive, of course." She looked to Bones for confirmation.

Emerson snorted a laugh. "I have absolutely no idea, but I guess every year they have this big thing that everyone gets excited over." She supposed that's why it was such a big deal they'd stolen the fireworks. She picked up the remaining box and started heading towards the beach. "Do you have a lighter?" she asked Bones.

"I watch them from my roof." Emerson shrugged a shoulder. "I don't like being surrounded by the people, especially the last few years." She thought back to when she had moved into town; away from Kylist. "I've lived here.... Ten years? Maybe twelve?" She frowned, thinking about it. "Not really sure. You?"

"Hmph," was Emerson's response. She was quiet for another moment or so, then, "Where else have you lived?" She couldn't remember if they had talked about it the night of the drinking game, but she at least remembered telling him about wanting to move to Maine.

"That's co-" Emerson stopped in her tracks to look over her shoulder at him, judging whether he was serious or not. "You were a nazi?" she questioned, narrowing her eyes. She hefted the box to sit on her hip, pushing her hair out of her face. "You can't be serious."

"I can't believe I asked you out," Emerson muttered as se continued walking. "I'm... going to pretend I wasn't listening and change the subject, now." She inclined her head in thought. "So... How old is Copper?" It seemed like a safe enough topic, and if she had to spend the date pretending to be oblivious to Bones' past -his literal demon-ness-, then so be it.

"Wow. She's older than me." Emerson tried to imagine that the car was so old. She couldn't. The conversation seemed to be getting a little touchy again but she pressed on. "So... What's it like?" She didn't say the word -hell-as it were a seriously forbidden subject, but as long as she didn't speak it aloud she was pretty sure she wouldn't, like, drop dead or something.
Honestly, Emerson kind of forgot the rules over the years, or what would happen if she disobeyed them, but it seemed pretty obvious she shouldn't be speaking of the underworld.

"Hmph," Emerson replied with again, picturing it in her head. "Okay."
Finally, they were at the beach, which was thankfully deserted. "I guess everyone's out for the fireworks," she mused, turning a full circle. "Since you've done this before..." She turned to face Crispin, arching her eyebrows. "Here do you want to go?"

"I think the boxes are labeled," Emerson told Bones, checking out the sides of the crates, as each of them ha a number between one and four. "Yeah..." She set her box last, the one that said four. "Do you want them in order?" Emerson quirked a brow, gesturing to the boxes.

"Okay then," Emerson said with a shrug, standing back to let Bones take care of it. She sat on the bench next to him and tilted her head to watch, a pleased expression across her face, watching Bones out of the corner of her eye as well.

The next morning, Emerson lazily did her chores to wish the time away, taking a shower late in the afternoon. She stood in front of her closet with her towel wrapped around her, pondering over her choices. Why should it matter? she questioned herself as she pulled her favorite dress down. It was this sixties-style blue and grey thing that matched her eyes.
Emerson left her curls natural and jogged outside with her jacket, purse and keys, only remembering once she pulled out of her space that neither of them had specified which address to go to. She decided on the one that the food had been going to, knowing that if she didn't get an answer to her knock she would just figure out where the other house she had visited by foot was.
