"Honestly, kid?" The woman rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. She watched Emerson's retreating back for a moment before giving the price, which honestly was a ton for the city it was in, but not the amount Bones seemed to be willing to pay. She wanted to be done with this, so much so that she didn't bother give a false price.
Finally reaching the other side of the massive farmhouse, Copper dozed with her head resting on Emerson's shoulder, stirring when the angel let out a short gasp. Little more than twenty feet from the back of the house and surrounding woods, a cliff dropped off into the water below, and the girl steppe forward to look at the view. She noticed a little pathway led down the steep drop to the beach and grinned.

Little more than twenty feet from the back of the house and surrounding woods, a cliff dropped off into the water below, and the girl steppe forward to look at the view. She noticed a little pathway led down the steep drop to the beach and grinned.

The woman scoffed, staring at Bones before realizing he wasn't joking and rushing back to her car.
Back behind the house, Emerson turned when Bones met up with her, still smiling. "I really like it, actually. I was waiting for you to check out inside, though. What do you think?" she asked above the wind and Copper's purring.

"Sounds good. Did she give you a hard time?" They stepped into what was like a screened-in back deck, with a swing and small living-room sort of setting. "This is cool," Emerson commented quietly, looking around before eyeing the doorway, which was vacant of a door.

"Oh, right," Emerson said with a chuckle, gently setting the tabby on the floor at their feet. She took Bones' hand again and followed him deeper into the house, glancing around at real-wood flooring and random photography pictures on the wall. None of it was personalized; it was all of other cities or nature of animals. At least they wouldn't have to remove that- unless Bones didn't like it. "What do you think?" she asked, looking up at him.

Bones smiled "It's nice" he said and meant it, there was nothing outwardly that he immediately wanted to change which was good. "I like it" he said and looked at Emerson. "What about you?" he asked as they walked into another room. The house it's self wasn't huge, but it was big enough for the three of them and that's all they really needed.
"Well, I can imagine living here with Copper and you, so that's good." Emerson turned to face Bones before finding a set of steps and pausing at the base of it before tugging on the demon's hand and walking up the set of stairs. "It's really nice."

"Of course," Emerson murmured against Bones' lips. She wrapped her arms around him momentarily before she heard the rumble of the realtor's car driving up the way. "We better get back out so she doesn't know we trespassed," she said, pressing her lips to Bones' once more before pulling away and walking down the steps and out towards the backyard from where they had broken in from.

The realtor handed Bones a clipboard that had a couple of files clipped to it, and motioned for the couple to follow her to a wooden picnic-like bench in the yard. "Shall we discuss this here?" Not waiting for an answer, Abernathy slid into the bench, and Emerson sat down on the opposite side, although looking to Crispin with the paperwork. She wanted to get this over with so they could settle in, as she was exhausted.

"You can move in as soon as your information goes through the usual. Probably have it back by tomorrow afternoon," Abernathy replied, watching the couple with a greedy disinterest. As in, she wasn't interested in anything other than their money.

Emerson smiled and slipped her arm around Bones' torso, watching as Abernathy looked over the documents for a few seconds before the woman nodded and looked up. "Well, alright, I'll go put these in. Can I get a number to reach one of you at when the keys are ready to hand over?" she asked as she slipped the clipboard into her bag.

"Well, if we stay here we at least need to go and find a store." Emerson had noticed that the master bedroom's new-looking mattress was stripped bare. She stood up and stretched beside Bones. "I don't care either way."

Emerson kissed Bones back, her hand on his chest until she pulled away enough to slip her had into her pocket and grab the keys before they got distracted. "And here I was, thinking I was blessed to be the keeper of the keys," she teased with a chuckle, pulling Bones hand and setting them there. "Want to take or leave Copper so she can sleep?"

Emerson smirked and settled into the car seat, already making a mental list of things they needed to buy. "Other than bedding and food, I can't think of anything. Have you?" he asked as Bones started the truck, and she buckled.

"Right now?" Emerson eyed Bones from the corner of her lid after watching her side of the street for places they could stop. She had left her old car by her shop, and had even told the delivery boy to 'take care of' (i.e. keep) it for her while she was 'away'. "I think that can wait a bit. I probably won't need to be going many places at first anyway."

"Um, well..." Emerson thought about it. "I don't really have a favorite kind of car. The Thing was a little too low-scale flashy for my taste." She shrugged and climbed out of the truck, reaching into loop her arm trough her bag to bring it with them. She didn't very well want to leave it, with the picture and money in it. She closed the truck door and met Bones on his side. "Do you?"

"My Randy is always so full of surprises," Emerson joked, taking Bones' hand before beginning to walk towards the storefront. "Did you see anything you didn't like about the house?" she asked, as she personally hadn't. But they hadn't seen the basement yet, so she wasn't quick to judge.

That was something Emerson had no quarrel in shuddering at. Some of the painting was chipped and generally poor in color choice. "I can help you with all of that." The angel paused to grab a basket to put things in with her free hand. "What colors would you think of?" She figured they could maybe check that out within the next week, if Bones wanted.

Emerson shrugged, standing back to look at the sets. "You mean for colors or bedding? Because i agree with you on the paint." That way, it'd be easier to buy anyway. She bit her lip and assessed what was in front of them. "I don't care about this, much, either, unless you go and tell me you want a boy band themed one," she teased, giving him a look.

"King," Emerson answered, as she had actually taken note of that. She grabbed the sheets and put it in her basket, but made Bones carry the comforter as it wouldn't fit. "We'll need to buy food and stuff, but unless we decide to stay there tonight we won't have a place to keep it." She paused to face him, the question on her face.

"Sounds good to me." It would be nicer to stay there that night anyway, and it wasn't like Abernathy would find out. "What do you want to eat?" she asked over her shoulder as she led him to find the more market-oriented area of the store.

"Whatever you say," Emerson replied, closing her eyes for a beat before pulling away with a grin. "I don't need to eat much either, so I'll just stick with some apples or mangos for now. Sound okay?" she asked, turning from Bones to survey the fruit.

"Nope." Emerson smirked, balancing the fruit in the basket before standing slightly on her toes to press her lips to Bones' jaw. "I'll go pay," she informed, gesturing for him to follow with the comforter as she turned to find the registers.

Emerson blushed a little, taking the bag of groceries and walking with Bones outside. "It sounds cheesy, but... I thought maybe I could see if the lighthouse needs an operator." It was obviously still being used, and she had seen signs in the house that kind of indicated the previous occupant had been the one to work it.

"Mm, generous offer. I think it's tempting," Emerson sarcastically replied. She wrapped her arms around him and smiled. "It's really close to the house, so I can just walk." For all she knew, there would even be a pathway from their home to the lighthouse. "What do you want to do?" she asked curiously, tilting her head at him.

"Pft, come on. She's probably still sleeping." Emerson kissed Bones again before pushing off of him and walking to her side, opening the door and climbing in. "You don't think it's stupid for me to want to do that, though? Run the lighthouse?" It still seemed a little childish to her.

Emerson nodded with agreement. She had been the first to say it after all. She buckled and looked to Bones when he pulled out of the parking lot. "Considering the shitty circumstances, I think this will go very well. For a while at least." She honestly hoped they wouldn't be found here, but that was tough to tell.
