Holli | 333 comments On the question of audiobooks, with the author initials part of the challenge, do/can we count the narrator's initials? Or just the writer themselves? I have gotten into audios this year and have so far not counted any of them.

message 804: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Only the author.

Y'all are welcome!

That's what I thought, but wanted to clarify. Thanks! :)

Lauren (laurenjberman) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Jenne!

message 807: by Ebb (new)

Ebb (ebbsbooks) | 96 comments Our task is the hero being tortured/scarred. Im currently reading the last book in a trilogy and the main character was tortured in the previous books and in her childhood she was also tortured and scarred. Does it still count as the hero having been tortured and scarred in the past even if the events didnt happen in that particular book but its the same character?

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Jenne~Will this book called Insanity (Mad in Wonderland) (Insanity #1) by Cameron Jace work as fairy tale?

message 809: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Ebony if she talks about it still or it impacts her currently then yeah.

message 814: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) I just went to B&N and all of Cameron Jace's books are free right now. It looks like all of them are fairy tale themed.

message 815: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) Jenne, for someone of great privilege, I know you already said celebrity would work. How about celebrity like status or sports star?

message 816: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments They would work.

message 817: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Jenne - question about lost/kidnapped. How long does the person have to be gone. Haven't finished the book but a toddler was lost for approx half hour (view spoiler)

message 818: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments That'll work…there doesn't need to be a set time or anything. Just so long as it happens or happened already and the characters talk about it.

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments Jenne wrote: "That'll work…there doesn't need to be a set time or anything. Just so long as it happens or happened already and the characters talk about it."

Cool - thanks!!

message 821: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (pokey36) | 1239 comments If anyone's asked this I can't find it so "do one word authors count for author's initials?" Like Pelaam?

message 822: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments No they don't :(

message 823: by Cait S (new)

Cait S Just wanted to double check this. Poetry books of any kind and length are not usable, is that right? So Tilt by Ellen Hopkins couldn't be used even though it obviously condenses to more than the 150 minimum?

message 824: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments That's right. It doesn't sound like a poetry book from the blurb lol…I'd of never realized it was without it being shelved as such.

message 825: by Cait S (new)

Cait S Agreed. I actually had no idea that it was until I checked it out from the library today. Dumb poetry genre tagging *kicks dirt*

message 826: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) Is Beauty (A Midsummer Suspense Tale) by Asha King okay for Snow White's Assassin task . (view spoiler)

message 827: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yeah that would work :)

message 828: by Grace (new)

Grace (Calcat) Thanks Jenne I am hoping the next one Snow by Asha King works too, from the blurb she is a witness t a murder and is being hunted. Haven't read it yet.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Would this work for team name Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge ?

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yep and it's really good =]

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Thank you!

message 833: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Don't forget everyone for Task 4:

Any retelling will also fit the task for any team.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Will this work for court A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas ?

message 835: by Jenne (new)

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Thank you!

message 837: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) for princess, does the character have to be a real princess in the story or will figuratively work

The Vinyl Princess by Yvonne Prinz

message 838: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Gotta be the real deal :)

message 839: by Ora (new)

Ora (oeamis) For student, does it have to be a traditional student? Would an apprentice to an artist work?

message 840: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yes it would =]

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Will this work for historical Heart of Texas The Series by K.L. Hemley ?

message 842: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 3938 comments Jenne - will this work for the current mini as students? There are a couple of scenes that are flashbacks of the MCs in highschool when they were sweethearts.

Return to You (Laurel Heights, #3) by Kate Perry

message 843: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Yep :)

message 844: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Jenne, would this one be classified as mystery even though it has no shelves. The blurb says there are murders. Thanks.

Not Just Gone by Jack Parker

message 845: by Emma (M) (new)

Emma (M) Jenne, I have just finished The Funhouse by Owen West which as you can see was written by Dean Koontz, however it was originally published under his pseaudynom Owen West, which GR lists as the author when you click onto the book page. Can I claim the points for author initials OW?

message 846: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Lauren it should be, looks like the author is a mystery writer.

Emma you're good to go with OW :)

message 847: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Thanks Jenne :0)

I apparently don't know how to rhyme. I guess in rap music, you just make it fit. I need more time for this new minichallenge

message 849: by Jenne (new)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Lol! It is a bit tougher than the previous one.
