Yeah I think it would work. Alice in Wonderland is tagged as a fairy tale and this is obviously an Alice retelling.
Would you say
would count for demons? They're called chimaeras in the book but they spend their whole lives fighting angels and there's a line about how "humans call them demons". Does that make it demon enough to count?
I think it does...I read that one and they were demons from what I remember. How'd you like Wraith's book?
Jenne - can this book count as a fairy-tale retelling? It's not shelved as such (it has no shelving at all) but it mentions in the blurb saying "In this contemporary Cinderella variant," There aren't a lot of reviews, so I don't know how true that actually is so if you don't want it to count, I'll understand. I'll still read it because it has a big ole castle on the front!
Jenne - in Simply Irresistible the main character's mother is remarried (twice) and she has two half sisters. Would this count as a stepfamily? It doesn't specifically call them that in the book.
LaurLa the blurb sounds like a retelling to me :)Leslie does it ever mention at least one of the men she married? The half sisters wouldn't be enough but if their dad(s) would be.
Thanks Jenne! And I loved Wraiths book!! He was always my favorite brother. Also I had no idea how she was going to end the book, like the whole time I was like how is she going to fix this?!?!?! So it was really interesting. Best one so far. I'm reading #4 next!
I loved the next one! Hurry up and get through it and Sin's book so you can get to the horsemen! They're the BEST...especially Than :)

I'm working on it! Promise! I think I'm going to start #4 tomorrow maybe? I might do one book first? I don't know! So many demon books, so little time.

Lore's book was my favorite. I'll let you why after because my reason is a spoiler. Just remind me when you're done.

Lore and Wraith were my 2 favorites in the demonica. But Than *swoons* is by far the best horsemen =]
Jenne --2 recording questions
1. our next completed task set has 22 books to report. Only the last book has mini challenge points for mini challenge #4. Do I need to note castle/grimm mini challenge on each book?
2. In the last set of task reported, we missed reporting the palace points on one of the books.
Peter Pan spreadsheet line 152 -- is this an okay way to correct it?
Susan I'm away from my laptop most of the day today. I'll check it over late afternoon. You do not have to specify which mini any book fit though.

Yes that's fine like that. I'm gonna update in the am and I'll get that corrected on the game spreadsheet.
I'm sure someone asked but I can't find the post...Does "Grimm" in the title count for the title bonus?
Does a missing person have to be a relative?
Zack's best Lily has been missing and has not been found yet.
It's gotta be a missing kid or the relative who has a missing kid so that one wouldn't work. If I remember right the first 2 books don't kids get lost over there too though?
yes they do. I have already reread those in the past couple of weeks. So if more kids come up missing in the third book, would that be acceptable?
do we get name bonus points for "wicked"? I no longer remember. I thought no..but I can't remember.
anyone?
anyone?

I think Stella asked this but I don't recall your ruling on if selling human beings counted as "criminal" on PP's task?

Thanks. My team reminded me

I have a confusing question for you. Okay, Twilight is shelved as a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Fifty Shades of Grey is essentially a retelling of Twilight with humans. I read Grey, which is pretty much a near word for word retelling of Fifty Shades from Christian's point of view. Would it be considered a fairy tale retelling? To me, both are a mash-up of Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast, but I'd like your opinion on this. Please? I'm driving myself buggy going through lists for the answer. I think I even called the search engines a few choice names in my searching. :-)
Not sure if this one has been asked but is "Prince Charming" a valid Team Name? I thought it would be under Cinderella but I didn't see it when I checked.
Holli wrote: "I have a confusing question for you. Okay, Twilight is shelved as a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Fifty Shades of Grey is essentially a retelling of Twilight with humans. I read [book:Grey|256..."Lol, check the shelving and listopia's. Personally I think it's a bit of a stretch but if it's been shelved or is on a fairy tale listopia it'll work.
Sherri wrote: "Not sure if this one has been asked but is "Prince Charming" a valid Team Name? I thought it would be under Cinderella but I didn't see it when I checked."Nope sorry his name didn't make the cut lol.

@Jenne & Holli,
Yes, Twilight is on a couple of Fairy tale retelling listopias...but Fifty Shades of Gray is NOT. A lot of books are fan-fics but I don't think that should be enough to qualify. That's a really Slippery slope...
If you find Fifty Shades on a listopia, then I could get the argument for Grey as a POV book. but I don't recall seeing Fifty on the fairy tale retelling listopia.

Yeah I agree it's real iffy. If the Christian POV book has been shelved as a FT at least 5 times or on a list Holli let me know. But it has to be the specific book not just any FSOG book.
Can you use a book for your task if they have fairies in the book however is not shelved as fae or fairy?
is an ebook and i didmt realize until today that there are no other editions with page numbers. Its definitely over 150 pages i just dont know how to classify a page number
Thanks all for the answers. I appreciate the help. I'll go in and change my info/point breakdown thingy.
Captains,Reporting the tracking post is eating a lot of our lunches lol. If it would be faster for you just to keep track of the spreadsheet and then when you have your 10 task books done just turn in:
task 3, set 2 is xxx points along with the non task books. Basically the same thing just removing each individual book and points.
Just please keep either a link to the book or a post # on your spreadsheet so if we need to go back and look at something it can be found with relative ease.
Here's an example of what I just turned in for my team
new & easier post!
