Sandy | 20 comments The Shadow of the Wind is a book about books. Imaginative, intriguing, and one of the best novels I've ever read. If many of you are from different areas of the world, you should read Following Atticus which is how the natural beauty of New Hampshire and a little dog inspires so many people to appreciate the joys and sorrows of life. Tom Ryan's book Following Atticus shows how one can go from the deepest lows to the greatest heights. His prose is engaging and profound.

Right, I'll set up a thread now, with the start date of January 1st 2014!

Valerie Elizabeth wrote:.I shall also be attempting to read the following, to complete my Ten Book Challenge, by the end of the year.

The Visible World by Mark Slouka
Last Orders by Graham Swift
March by Geraldine Brooks
The Children's Book by A.S. Byatt
and The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Did you start the Children's Book? If not, I would like to read it with you. Maybe in October?

Elizabeth (merelyreading) I haven't read The Children's Book yet, and have had a bit of reorganizing of my book list.
I don't think I'll be reading it this year, but would be happy to schedule for early next year January perhaps?

Sorry, got a lot going on at the moment, and reading time is going to be restricted for a while, certainly in the coming week or so.
