Totally agree with you. Always wanted that one to be a film partner to the Blade movies.

Cf I enjoyed Vampire Academy but I would love to see African Immortals by Tananarive Due or a great shifter series like Moonlight by Nancy Gideon.

Ms. Due's work should definitely see the big screen. Blair Underwood was going to direct and star in the film for MY SOUL TO KEEP, but the greenlight has yet to come from Hollywood. It's been years. It was promising at first but it fell through. She and her husband wrote a sreenplay for her book, THE GOOD HOUSE:

The Good House by Tananarive Due

If I hear something, I'll come back and post it.

John Aubrey | 12 comments I'm working on a book about an angel that I think would be a good movie.

The FountainPenDiva, Old school geek chick and lover of teddy bears (thefountainpendiva) | 157 comments There are so many great IR/AA paranormals that I would love to see as films, but Hollyweird has a way of whitewashing casts or screwing the story up so that the "controversial" parts are cut out. I'd rather the BBC do them. The Cambion Chronicles would be great as a movie. The Vampire Huntress series would make for a great weekly series.

The FountainPenDiva, Old school geek chick and lover of teddy bears (thefountainpendiva) | 157 comments After all, the BBC gave us a black/bi-racial Guinevere.

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) The Coldest Winter Ever by Sista Souljah would make an Excellent Movie!
The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah A Deeper Love Inside The Porsche Santiaga Story by Sister Souljah

Eric Jerome Dickey I could easily see this book as a made for tv movie on Lifetime or BET.
The Other Woman by Eric Jerome Dickey

E. Lynn Harris first series were so good to be early 90's. I didn't like his new stuff. I despised everything after Abide with Me but this series was the first Downlow series I read and I didn't even know what Down low life was back then. I did after he schooled me though (LOL).
Invisible Life by E. Lynn Harris Just As I Am by E. Lynn Harris And This Too Shall Pass by E. Lynn Harris If This World Were Mine by E. Lynn Harris

Diane McKinney-Whetstone These would be great made for TV on Oprah's network.
Tumbling by Diane McKinney-Whetstone Tempest Rising A Novel by Diane McKinney-Whetstone Blues Dancing A Novel by Diane McKinney-Whetstone

Bebe Moore Campbell had two great books that would good ones for TV too
Your Blues Ain't Like Mine by Bebe Moore Campbell Singing in the Comeback Choir by Bebe Moore Campbell

Nadine (peanutsmom) | 8 comments Vampire academy have any poc my girls could be interested in book/film

The FountainPenDiva, Old school geek chick and lover of teddy bears (thefountainpendiva) | 157 comments Maybe we can get someone on Kickstarter.com to raise funds for one of our favorite books. Screw Hollywood! Personally I'd like to see Pussycat Death Squad as a rollicking romantic adventure film.
