As usual, tell the group what books are on your reading list this month.

I am finishing up The Eye of the World (I know, a little late on starting these, eh?) and not sure what I'll be picking up next.
I am squeezing in a few reads from my local library's adult winter reading program (click here for a link to the suggested readings for 'While the City Sleeps), including two of my currently-reading shelf books:
and
Waiting in the wings are:
and
Then it's back to my 'normal' reading including:
If I can squeeze a couple more in, I would like to read:
and
Finishing Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice but meanwhile got Third Shift by Hugh Howey! I'm really excited to see how he will wrap up the Shift series...
Way too many books as usual:
- nearly done with this one and loving it
- One of his most popular books that's not from the Dark Tower, my first read of it
- listening to audio book which is actually read by Stephen King
- might be a top pick
I'm working on 'Children of Sun and Moon' for a review and then I will be moving on to A. E. Marling's latest, 'Gown of Shadow and Flame'.
Going to dig in to the second Chronicles Of Amber this month, but I tend not to read books from the same series consecutively(to make the series last longer, don'tcha know), so I've joined some fantasy bookclubs to give me ideas for the in-between books.
Now that the final Wheel of Time book is out, I'll be doing a complete reread and finally finishing the series....almost finished with Eye of the World, only a million pages in the series to go :p
finished cryptonomicon (loved it) and got started only the hunger games. First book already finished. didnt really get into it but will continue with the second anyway
I just finished reading Brent weeks the blinding knife, the second in the lightbringer series, haven't read his first trilogy yet so gonna start that but the book I'm really waiting for is the daylight war by Peter Brett,3rd book of 5 in the demon cycle
I am finishing up Book 5 of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series, Midnight Tides, and a book my sister got me for Christmas, Alif the Unseen.
Finished The Way of Kings, and just started The Gathering Storm, followed by Towers of Midnight & A Memory of Light. I did not want to re-read the entire Wheel of Time series, as I have so many other books on my to-read list. I read the Chronolgy section of the Seven Spokes website instead, so at least I have all previous events more or less in my head.
Currently reading The Lies of Locke Lamora. I will then be finally delving into the Dark Tower and reading The Gunslinger. If I make it through those two, it will be on to The Blinding Knife.
Since the beginning of the month, I've read The Warded Man, Brayan's Gold, and The Great Bazaar And Other Stories. I'm on the middle of The Desert Spear and will be done in about two days or so - just in time for the release of book three, and a book signing in Brooklyn by Peter V. Brett. For the rest of the month, I'll be reading the series Wool Omnibus, and the same author's book I, Zombie. I will also be finishing the last four John Carter books by Edgar Rice Burroughs. That should take me to the end of the month. If not, I'll delve back into the Safehold series by David Weber. I finished book 2 about a month a a half ago, but had to stop the series because of a few others that came out or peaked my interest.

It was terrible, and bore very little resemblance to the rest of the series.
Reading every single John Carter book shows you have way more stick-to-it-ivness than I ever had/will have.
I just finished The Crippled God. I really enjoyed the Malazan series even though there were plenty of times around book 4 or 5 I almost gave up reading it. I am now about 1/2 way through Eye of the World. I am re-reading the whole series. I have A Memory of Light but I don't want to read it until I re-read the whole series. I don't want to miss anything important.

(Having said that, every time I read the series I read all 11 books even knowing what awaits me at the end.)
So far, I've read A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings, both by George R. R. Martin. I'm on A Storm of Swords and I plan to read that and A Feast for Crows this month. Time permitting, I'd like to read A Dance With Dragons as well. So far I've been doing good but they are quite lengthy and I only have so many hours I haven't sold to my boss or sleep.
Finished The Lord of the Rings -- yep, still my favorite book ever -- and decided Tales from the Perilous Realm seemed like a fine choice for a follow-up.

and then either Witcher books or something else :P"I keep hoping they'll hurry up and release the rest of the Witcher books in English translations.
I am reading Warlock, the last book of The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel books. Just started Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
"The Blade Itself" currently. Not entirely impressed with it so far. I'm also tempted to restart the Fatseer Trilogy or pick up the Chronicles of Amber where I left off, at "Sign of the Unicorn".

I'm supposed to be reading the Iron King this month for a group, is it good?

Personally, I quite enjoyed it. It's very reminiscent of the movie Labyrinth but with a bit more YA-feeling. Hope you like it!
Finished Tales from the Perilous Realm -- the first time I'd read most of those stories in probably thirty years -- and started Mr. Shivers by Robert Jackson Bennett (because after Tolkien I find I need to shift gears for a bit before going back into fantasy).
Matt wrote: "I'm also tempted to restart the Fatseer Trilogy"Now that sounds like a fun set of books.
Just finished Cloud Atlas and am whipping through The Warrior's Apprentice and then...I really don't know! It's been awhile since I didn't have a TBR list with some kind of expiration date on half the books.
Started reading the last three books of the Wheel of Time series, have waited until now, being quite patient until the last one was published, here goes, a bit sad really, that all good things have to come to an en
I need some help - Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionovar series...I read the first two books 15 years ago but couldn't make it through the 3rd. Tried to get through the 3rd book again 7 or 8 years ago and couldn't do it.Anybody out there actually make it through the 3rd book? Is it worth powering through the mind numbing boring parts?
I'm considering trying again (the first two books in the series were amazing and I can't figure out why I'm having such a hard time with the third....the only other fantasy series that I ever started that I didn't finish was the Wheel of Time)
Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy. Just started Before They Are Hanged. First new author for me this year.
Halfway through the month, reading an almost entirely different set of books now:Four to Score, Ender's Shadow, Little House in the Big Woods, Deathless, Falstaff's Big Gamble, The Great Unexpected, and, still, The Stand
So far, read a couple of the A Modern Witch books and now am working on The Hangman's Daughter. Have considered restarting the Wheel of Time series since it just ended - haven't read any of that since high school..
