This man's journey to tell his children and his students about life is truly a miracle

I finished reading this book just a few months before the author died and I have never been so touched by a stranger's death.

I thought the book was very powerful and admired that he chose to share his work with a worldwide audience instead of reserving it for his family and close friends.

I read this book a couple years ago, then watched the lecture (both in school). It was a fantastic, heart-wrenching book! Also, I agree with what Kim and RoseAnn wrote as well.

I agree completely. I watched the YouTube version; downloaded it and showed it to my homeroom class one day (skipped the virtual reality stuff, which they were not going to get); and then read the book and pushed it at everyone in my path! The POSITIVE way in which this man viewed his life while knowing its end was imminent was an inspiration to me. I wish all of those of us who have children (or will) could be as overwhelmingly optimistic. It spreads!

I read quite a few philosophic books but, none of them inspired me as much as this did. He unselfishly and open heartedly revealed the world his life story, which i bet will not only change the life of his children but all those people who will read it.

Great book...very brave, and I recommended it to a few friends...

Great book. The importance of book lies in the many maxim he gives later in the book which are very usable in day to life."all you have to do is ask""If you can wait longer people will surprise you"With this two i have even solved a lot of complicated problems in real life.

i liked it a lot , but i prefer the video version of it.
i think the author is a great teacher and there is a lot of lessons that we can learn from his life.

Truly inspiring..i feel that it is a must read for every one who wants to lead a beautiful life.

If you enjoyed The Last Lecture, you may be interested in the book his wife (Jai Pausch) wrote after he died, called Dream New Dreams. More about caregiving and dealing with grief, rather than inspirational, but it adds some depth to Randy Pausch's story and is excellent in its own right.

This man is an incredible example of what every man should aspire to be! I am sure when his kids watch his lecture and read his book his goal will be accomplished. They will know how much he loved them and how great of a man and example he is.
