Christine | 51 comments I was distracted by some family matters and totally forgot to stop by this thread the last two days. I actually finished the book Friday night and I really enjoyed it. I did not really see the end coming at all. I'm almost disappointed that there wasn't a huge conspiracy involving the Coffin and the Claw. I do love me a good far-reaching conspiracy. LOL! I wonder if they will come in to play in the next book?

Freemont wants justice. Justice for himself? Or someone else tied to his death? I'm quite curious and am looking forward to the next book.

#44 – Kudos to you.

#45 – LOL!

#51 – Ah! We disagree.

#52 – Yes, why not?

#56 – I didn’t think to compare it to the dream she had; I’ll have to go back and do so.

#57 – Yes, I did notice he presented himself when no one else was around.

#60 – Good point.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments @ Vickilynn

#54 – Whoa. Really?

#55 – Could be he’s playing matchmaker.

#59 – Good point.

#60 – Yes, I liked it, too.

#62 – Good questions.

#64 – Yes, digital is good for packrats book hoarders...(like me!).

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments @ Laura

#55 – Yes, could be.

#59 – Oh, good question. I don’t know what his profession was, either. Some type of historian.

#62, 63, 64 – Glad you enjoyed it, Laura!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments @ Stefani - Life’s too short to read a book that bores you.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments @ Christine

Sorry Real Life got in your way, but glad you enjoyed the book. Yes, I want to learn more about the C&C, too.

Courtney (melo_yelo) | 50 comments Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 35 – Epilogue

54. Could you understand Amelia’s mother not telling her she had cancer? Do you think her mother knows about her father’s ability?
Her mother knows something. And if I were Amelia, I wouldn’t risk her passing without telling me what she knows. It may be selfish, but Amelia needs answers and her mother shouldn’t hold them from her.

55. Stunning news that Devlin was Dr. Shaw’s protégé, right?! Does this make you (even more) suspicious of him? Why did Ethan give Amelia Devlin’s address? Why was Devlin coming out the palmist’s house?
Big Questions! That didn’t get answered!!!! So Devlin is into something too. Hmmm. I have stayed suspicious of him the entire book and I still am. He obviously wasn’t involved in murder, but I think he is involved in something with “the otherside.” Maybe the palmist can speak to Devlin’s ghosts....

56. Okay, what in the world was going on with Amelia when she went to Devlin’s house? Was she “possessed” by Mariama? I didn’t think this the first time I read this book; however, on this second time, I’m really wondering what Essie’s “Life Everlasting” does to someone! That whole encounter was pretty creepy. Comments.
I can’t BELIEVE she went in that house! And Devlin was expecting her, maybe the palmist told her that.

57. What in the world?! So the “café au lait complexion” guy (see DQ #7) calling himself Tom Gerrity wasn’t Tom Gerrity?! Do you feel sure that he is really the ghost of Robert Fremont? Why didn’t Amelia know he was a ghost? Does all this change your opinion of how Devlin responded when he asked her if she’d been talking with Gerrity? What did you think of the real Gerrity?
Yes, I do think he is Robert Fremont, I can’t believe Amelia didn’t know he was a ghost.... And he knew that Amelia could see ghosts, but does not appear to be haunting her. Maybe he is busy haunting the real Gerrity. That is an interesting twist. Why would the ghost even pose as Gerrity? The real Gerrity is a jerk.

58. What did you think of Clayton Masterson’s history? And there were two killers! Were you pretty sure of that? When did you realize the other killer was that “quiet, scrawny little thing,” AKA Daniel Meakin? When Tuly Mackey said so, or later?
Yea, for a while, I felt like the murders were connected but not the same person. I did think that was an interesting twist that a ghost was causing the murders. The hope that Amelia would become the haunted was kinda rushed. I didn’t catch right away that Meakin was the scrawny little thing. But he fits.

59. So Daniel Meakin was posting the epitaphs for all three reasons (warning her, taunting her, and helping her), don’t you think?
I am not sure why he was posting them. I guess he wanted her to find the bodies. And well, what kind of mystery would it be without dead bodies!

60. Did you like how Amelia got away from Daniel, with the help of Shani and Robert Fremont…and the flies?

We got the answers as to why Amelia’s home was “hallowed ground.” And I’m assuming, when Daniel said he “finished” his last book, that he was the one who took Dr. Shaw’s research papers. We know that – even if Daniel committed the murders against his will, and killed Clayton in “self-defense” – he was still guilty of killing Camille because she was on to him. We know why the shadow men were there. Comments.
I did like that Shani & Robert & the flies helped Amelia. That was neat. We still didn’t find out what was stolen from Dr. Shaw..... And Meakin said he has killed more than he can count. And if Meakin knew about hallowed ground and didn’t want to kill, he could have found a home on hallowed ground.

62. Nevertheless, there are many more questions to be answered. What will happen with Devlin & Amelia’s relationship? Are you still suspicious of Temple’s behavior? Of Dr. Shaw’s? Who is a Claw and what exactly does that entail? What of the ghost of Robert Fremont; did he help Devlin find Amelia at the end? Will he get justice? What of Amelia’s father’s secrets? How about exactly when Amelia crossed over into the veil? Or is there another question to which you really want the answer?
I am still suspicious of everyone, even though I have finished the book. I am interested to find out Freemont’s story. And of course Amelia’s story.

63. Do you think you’ll go on with the series?
Yes. I want to find out about Amelia’s past.

64. How did you rate the book over all? Did it help to have it as a “buddy read” with others?
I gave it a four. I do really enjoy the discussions, and stopping to develop my thoughts about what I am reading. Otherwise I just read straight through and don’t give it much thought.

Yes my mother said she was an adult and capable of making her own decisions and my sister and I were lucky she told us in time to come and be with my dad during her surgery. We decided she was just angry about the whole thing. She has now been cancer free for 15 years.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments @ Courtney

#54 – I agree.

#55 – Ooooha. Maybe.

#56 – LOL! Really.

#60 – Interesting.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments That should say 2013 finalist one the logo...but, I haven't found one yet.

Lára I have started The Kingdom (2nd book) and it is terrific! Way better than the 1st one. I absolutely recommend it to everyone.

I just have to write it down:
(view spoiler)

Has anyone read the sequel yet?
really, The Graveyard Queen series have been made for discussion
Anyone´s up for discussing them? pretty please?

Courtney (melo_yelo) | 50 comments I am reading Kingdom now. I hope to be finished today... I am at the part where she is the mountains with Luna. Very interesting.

Lára Great!
Shall we have a special thread or put everything in this one? if you want to discuss it, that is (after getting the book, of course) :D

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I couldn't start yesterday, as I had another book I had committed to listening to for a review. Though, I'll probably start the second book pretty soon.

I know Laura got sick yesterday, so she'll be delayed in responding, too.

I think we can just post in this thread, Lára, if you like. Anything major could probably go under a spoiler.

No problem, it´s not urgent. (:
I can wait. and maybe I´ll finish Sword of Shannara and Inheritance in the meantime... I´ve been reading those since 2011.

I just wanted to know if people´re interested, so that I don´t start the 3rd one

Laura (lglovett) | 1444 comments I am back, but not full force. I will be on and off a bit today. I spent most of yesterday sleeping. I hope to feel back to normal by the end of the day today.

I probably won't start book two for another week. I have a lot on my plate with the next BOM and the current one. Plus, a book that I started two weeks ago for a challenge that I need to finish this week.

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Finally have time with moving and everything to sit down and finish these questions!

Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 7 – 12

10. Is there any significance in Devlin being able to sleep in Amelia’s place? Do you like Amelia so far? Do you like the way she interacts with Devlin? What’s with Devlin’s silver medallion he wears? It knocks the wind out of her?

I dunno honestly, even after finishing the book I have no idea what that was about. My first thought was psychic vampire, which can sometimes be unconscious, but I honestly don't know.

11. Any thoughts on the angles Amelia’s father is restoring: “all fifty-seven with nothing more than patience and a set of vintage masonry tools”? Why is Amelia suddenly seeing the first ghost she ever saw “after all these years”? Is he really only a messenger? If so, is her father right about the ring?

Harbingers of some impending change are common in superstitions. Sometimes they are warnings that something bad is about to happen and you can change it. Other times they are merely warning you and there's nothing you can do to stop it. In this case, I'm not sure which it is.

12. Do you think Afton Delacourt’s murder 15 years ago is connected to the current crime spree? Is the Order of the Coffin and the Claw definitely involved? Who could be a member of this secret society? Any suspicions? Or are you like me, and suspect everyone. LOL!

Generally I suspect everyone. But the two events almost had to be linked didn't they? Would have been a pretty simplistic plot if they were not.

13. Book Quote: (view spoiler) Eep! What a visual! Or was it too cliché for you? Comments.

It was a little bit cliche, but I still liked it.

14. Another character is introduced: Charleston County coroner, Regina Sparks. Comments on her personality? I totally think there is something to the symbols on the gravestones. Are you with me on this?

There has to be a clue in the graves or there would be no point in keeping her involved lol. I liked Regina, but I could get over how her introduction was written. Amelia tells us that it's Regina Sparks, then Regina introduces herself and says they never met before. If it's in first person then how could Amelia know who she is before they met. That bugged me a lot.

15. Devlin’s wife was a student of Dr. Rupert Shaw? Interesting. Comments?

I wonder if that will end up going somewhere. It is an interesting idea, I'd like to see more on it.

16. Book Quote:(view spoiler) Eep! What was this shadowy creature?

Really interesting development there. I was excited about it.

17. What do you think about Tom Gerrity? His “gift”? Why did Devlin’s wife back away from that strange – or rather, creepy – ménage à trios immediately when Tom Gerrity’s name was mentioned?

Yeah there was always something weird there. Why did he follow Amelia to the pier and then say nothing? Weird.

18. Now that you’ve heard Temple Lee’s story (Chapter 12) of Dr. Camille Ashby (who originally recommended Amelia’s services to Devlin), what is your impression of her? To backtrack to the end of Chapter 8, how do you think eavesdropping on Camille’s conversation with Devlin was a “turning point” in Amelia’s relationship with Devlin: by its content or her decision to do so? Or something else?

Temple seems like an exaggerator to me, not sure how much we can believe her version of events.

19. What did you think of Ethan Shaw and Daniel Meakin? Did either of these two stand out to you? One more than the other?

Ethan Shaw struck me as a red herring right off the bat. It was to obvious that he could be a suspect. Daniel, I didn't really give a second thought because Amelia seemed to dismiss him and so did I. I liked him though, he seemed interesting.

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Sonia’s Questions for Chapters 13 – 20

20. The sizzling attraction between Amelia and Devlin is so great that even Temple noticed. Do you think it is fueled by the ghosts? First the child, then the wife, they seemed to search for her only after her interactions with Devlin.

I had a really hard time understanding why they liked each other so much honestly. All they do is argue and then try not to sleep with each other lol. Devlin was never really fleshed out as a character for me either. Typical cop protector and that's about it.

21. I didn't like Temple's reaction when Amelia mentioned Afton Delacourt’s murder. It is only the idea of a murderer around a small town? Or do you think she belongs or is connected somehow to the Order of the Coffin and the Claw?

I think pretty much every character we've met so far is involved in the Order and knows exactly what happened to Afton.

22. The ring worn by Dr. Shaw and the incoherence of it's origin caught my attention. I'm wondering what the ornate symbol is or means. Do you agree with me that it may mean something, or is it just a little tidbit like Amelia dismissed it?

Amelia seemed to dismiss a lot of important things lol. She should not quit her day job to become a detective.

23. OK, the whole nightmare just freaked me out! But it also made think that maybe Amelia is right and the door opened with Afton Delacourt’s murder caused some dark entity to enter to this side of the veil. Could all of them (Camille, Ethan and Ruper Shaw, Temple, Tom Gerrity and Daniel Meakin) involved some how in the ritual? Or was the weird behaviors, the attack with the scissors and Meakin's attempt on suicide be influenced by this dark entity?

I thought of the dark entity as well. That would have been a great turn of events, that by unknowingly allowing this thing through the veil that they put themselves in danger.

24.A mouse in a box in a basement with rows and rows of packed shelving...right... I'd be scrambling out there kicking and screaming, but I have a problem with closed spaces. So, we get to know Daniel Meakin. What did you think about him? Is his suspicious reaction to the reference Afton's murder just a way to tricks us, or there is something there?

I didn't really see anything different in his reaction to it than anyone else's. They all pretty much reacted the same way.

25. Shani means "my heart" and she draw a heart on Amelia's window, but before that Amelia made a heart from the shells on top of the girl's ring. Didn't that mean that she was the one making the bond before? And what [Granny says without her help, Shani won’t ever leave you
alone. (hide spoiler)] could possible mean?

I think that she was trying to say that now the girl knows that you know she's there, she will keep coming around until you've satisfied whatever she wanted your attention for.

26. Amelia crossed the veil and back. What? How? When? She started to see ghost with 9 years old? How can she crossed the veil? Was it before the adoption? If so, how did she only start seeing the ghosts at 9? And how can her father saw them? Does that mean that he's the one that took her there? And what about the [Somebody uh-comin’ for dis gal. Somebody with a soul black as midnight. Somebody dat walk with the dead. (hide spoiler)] part?

I was rather hoping it was genetic lol. Way better explanation than all these people have had near death experiences.

27.A car without lights and speeding in Amelia's direction...oh my... who do you think was? The killer? Camille? Her eavesdropping and leaving the basement without talking to Amelia was suspect. But all the reactions of the people she talked about the Order were too. I'm starting to think she stepped someone's toes and the need for secrecy will try to get her. Don't you agree?

Could have been Gerrity. I mean, he's been creepy and stalkery before.

28.Wait, a big paranormal expert is saying that the dark entity is a optical illusion? Isn't that suspicious? I didn't like Dr Shaw. What do you think of him?

I thought he was really interesting. Way too glaring of a red herring too. Way way easy target to make. But I thought his reasoning was logical. It's more than likely that your eyes tricked you than legitimate paranormal activity.

29.Aha! There's the ring incoherence again. What is this guy hiding? Do you think it was wise of Amalia telling him that she saw the symbol on a grave? Isn't that the reason the killer is after her?

She has problems keeping information to herself I've noticed lol

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 21 – 27

30. So, the “Prophet” is NOT Gerrity’s nickname! Then whose is it?

It has something to do with Devlin's reaction. Clearly he knew it would get to him.

31. Uh oh. Devlin isn’t happy about Amelia going down to Beaufort County. Can you blame him? Or should he have been more understanding about it. Do you think it was Essie or Rhapsody who told him, or someone else entirely?

It was a very creepy and stalker thing to do on Amelia's part. She way overstepped boundaries there. I laughed when she said she thought she was approaching obsessive...no honey, you leaped over that line a long time ago.

32. There goes Temple again, implying that Amelia doesn’t need to be at the exhumation, and not to research Afton Delacourt’s murder. Do you think she is lying about being a Claw? Do you think, as Temple assumed, that Daniel Meakin really did try to commit suicide, or was it something else that caused that mark? Was she just laying the groundwork, so to speak? Comments.

I think she knows more than she's saying, but she also has a flair for the dramatic so I'm not sure how much weight to give her words.

33. If you were Amelia and had that weird spell happen at Essie’s house, would you be more suspicious of the tea served you? Would you wear the amulet she gave you after that?

Nope, I certainly would not! Amelia was kind of an idiot in my opinion.

34. What do you think about the epitaphs being posted on Amelia’s blog? Are they warning her, taunting her, or helping her?

I thought that someone wanted her to figure it out honestly.

35. Who was the woman with Devlin when he called Amelia back? A colleague? A relative? A date? If so, do you think Regina right? Is Devlin always watching Amelia?

I don't know, really I don't think it was all that relevant. Just more Amelia obsession.

36. Exsanguination. Ugh. Not a pretty way to die. Looks like the killer(s) really do want the person to die slowly. Is Devlin right? Is the killer a hunter? Is Devlin right about Amelia not having to be involved in this? Could she walk away? Or is she too far into the thick of it?

At this point I didn't see any reason she couldn't walk away. I mean what had she actually done? Pointed out a few epigraphs, and wandered around asking people weird questions but getting no answers.

37. Eep! I’m glad we didn’t stop at end of Chapter 25. (Bad enough it was at #27!) Would you have followed the flies? There were a lot of creepy things in that dank cellar [Amelia fell into, but I thought the creepiest was the chair. Was it for the keeper? Or an audience? Comments. (hide spoiler)] What did you think was the creepiest?

The chair was sufficiently creepy. That was probably my creepy part.

38. So, Devlin commented that his wife wore an amulet to bring her good luck. And he doesn’t carry his father’s lighter for good luck. Then why does he wear the medallion? Is it just another keepsake to him?

*cough*TheOrder*cough* I said I suspected everyone lol.

39. What could be the significance of the skeleton (beginning of Chapter 27) being bound at the wrists and not strung up by the ankles?

Obviously it was out of the pattern, so probably not directly related to the other victims.

40. Would you have waited for back-up to explore the tunnel further? If your partner wanted to go ahead on the chance there was another victim, would you go with them, or stay behind? Or would it depend on the person you were with?

Splitting up always gets you killed, slasher movies have taught me that lol. Never split up!

41. What did you think of Amelia’s childhood nightmare about tunnels and outreaching hands? Could it have been a NDE, as Devlin suggested?

It could be. If she was young enough then that might be the only recollection she has. I have a few childhood memories that I don't consciously remember but I dream about.

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 28 – 34

42. Were you surprised that Devlin gave Amelia his gun? Can cops do that (surrender their weapon)?

Yeah that was weird. How can he even be sure she knows how to use it?

43. Unlike the others, Afton Delacourt’s body was not buried. Did anything else about her death stand out as different from the others?

I don't remember, I took too long to get to these questions lol.

44. Devlin went to Emerson! He doesn’t call his wife by name! And why did Amelia tell him, “It’s not this place. It’s you…” when he fell asleep? He is leaving her physically weak when he sleeps at her house, but not elsewhere? Comments.

I suspect it has something to do with the ghosts. When they are gone during the day he's fine, when they are around he needs more energy and unconsciously drains it from others.

45. What do you think about what Dr. Shaw said about a psychic vampire? And who stole his notes – and why? Is it, as he suspects, the killer?

I think that is an immediate conclusion to draw, I suspected it was the killer as well.

46. BOOK QUOTE: “If one has enough money or influence, one can make anything disappear,” he said softly. True or false? Do you think someone has finagled the county land records?

True, to a certain extent. Enough people have to want to allow you to cover it up or the cover up goes nowhere. All it takes is one person to say no and it all falls apart.

47. Eep! What do you think about the emblem of the snake coiled around a talon being on Devlin’s medallion? Does this mean he is a member of the Coffin and the Claw? Is there another explanation? Do you think he was personally involved in Afton Delacourt’s murder?

Maybe not personally involved, but might have known how it happened.

48. What about his guilt over his fight with his wife, ignoring Shani, and over not taking Mariama’s last phone call? Is this something over which he can ever recover?

I think so. It's sad and devastating, but eventually the wound starts to heal and it will get easier to forgive himself.

49. Did Amelia’s conversation with Macon Dawes trigger anything for you? We find out later that Jane Rice (remains of the second grave) was an emergency room nurse; does this make you suspicious of him?

Not really, I didn't feel like we ever got enough information about anything to make a conclusion over who might be the killer.

50. Camille Ashby! Whoa. BOOK QUOTES: “He is setting them free.” and “A quite life, a quiet death. Sleep now, Beloved. Our secret is safe.” Do you think Amelia really has figured out the symbols? If so, what does the last epitaph mean with regards to this latest victim? Is the secret just about her sexual orientation? Why wasn’t Camille strung up like the others?

No time probably. I had already speculated that the killer wanted Amelia to find out, speeding things up with another body might have been a last ditch effort for her attention.

51. Okay, I can understand a little delay, but why hasn’t Amelia confronted Devlin by now? Why were his ghosts gone when he told her to go home at the end of Chapter 32?

Because she's feeling all in wuv!!

52. Finally! Amelia and Devlin kiss. Why did the dead tree limb smash through her window? Comments.

I suspect ghostly interference.

53. Okay, I almost don’t even know where to begin – or end – with Amelia’s encounter with Gerrity in Chapter 34, so I just let you make any observations or pose questions you want.

It was a twist for sure, not sure what I thought about it either.

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 807 comments Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 35 – Epilogue

54. Could you understand Amelia’s mother not telling her she had cancer? Do you think her mother knows about her father’s ability?

I wonder if she kind of has to know, it would be tough to keep that a secret fro a spouse. And I understand her reasons for not telling Amelia, it's her decision when and who to tell.

55. Stunning news that Devlin was Dr. Shaw’s protégé, right?! Does this make you (even more) suspicious of him? Why did Ethan give Amelia Devlin’s address? Why was Devlin coming out the palmist’s house?

There's a lot of weird stuff with Devlin. I think he might have been honest when he said he just grew away from it and that was that.

Comments.

It was creepy, but seriously she left him out on the porch? Really? Very mature of you Amelia!

I was wondering that too. Ghosts are supposedly connected to a person, but this one isn't. And it wasn't explained why he isn't either, so I don't know.

58. What did you think of Clayton Masterson’s history? And there were two killers! Were you pretty sure of that? When did you realize the other killer was that “quiet, scrawny little thing,” AKA Daniel Meakin? When Tuly Mackey said so, or later?

I didn't figure that out until it was told. I honestly don't think there were enough clues to even remotely try and figure it out. Most of the book was Amelia's obsession with Devlin, not the murders.

59. So Daniel Meakin was posting the epitaphs for all three reasons (warning her, taunting her, and helping her), don’t you think?

He wanted to be caught, he wanted her to be interested.

60. Did you like how Amelia got away from Daniel, with the help of Shani and Robert Fremont…and the flies?

It was interesting. I have to say it was the best part of the book in my opinion.

Comments.

Wait...they discussed the shadow guys? I had no idea lol. I must have been so bored I just totally missed it.

Really any answers would be nice. I hate books that seem to leave off half the plot at the end.

63. Do you think you’ll go on with the series?

I doubt it. I was supremely bored through most of this.

64. How did you rate the book over all? Did it help to have it as a “buddy read” with others?

I will probably rate it a 2. I hated Amelia, Devlin needed more development, and they answered literally zero questions. Not nearly enough good for me to like it.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments **snortsnort** Thanks, Stefani! Sorry you didn't like the book, but I really enjoyed your answers. I'll respond more later.

message 181: by Jex (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jex (jexball) | 2227 comments @Stefani: you seemed to get about as much out of this book as I did. I just felt like big pieces of the story were missing or that maybe I slept through them or something. Not quite sure. Ate least I finished this BOM thought, unlike Deja Dead which I'm still only half finished with and cringe at every time I look and see that I need to read it.....

That was exactly the problem! There were a lot of really fascinating bits and pieces, but they never went anywhere. We spent way too much time on Amelia's obsession with Devlin and way too little time on the rest of it.

Courtney (melo_yelo) | 50 comments I went ahead and read book 2 and 3, because I wanted answers. And I have a very hard time leaving a series half read- personal problem. Anyway, you get answers, so I am really glad I did. I liked book 3 better than two.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Well, that is great to know, Courtney! Glad these are all out, so there is no long wait.

Lára Courtney, I know! I am quite happy there´s going to be 4 books.
There is novella as well:

Lára Æi, folk!
could we, please, start with 2nd one this month?

1st week: 1-10
2nd week: 11-20
3rd week: 21-30
4th week: 31-40

40 chapters, so we could read and discuss 10 chapters per week?
It´s a great book, The Kingdom!

I´d like to read the 3rd book so...

Just let me know if you´re up to reading/discussing The Kingdom! if less than 2 people is available,
I´ll go on with The Prophet (;

Lára Kristin wrote: "if I am able to find a copy of it I would be willing to participate but my library doesn't have one in yet."

Great, Kristin! Don´t worry, I just want to know how many people are willing to participate!

You mean, as they don´t have it at all, or is it out right now? If the first is the problem, I can loan it to you for a month (ebook), if it´s the second, we can wait until it´s available.

Thank you for the interest, I really appreciate it. (Þ

Christine | 51 comments I've already read The Kingdom, but I'd be up for a group read/buddy read of The Prophet when you get to it.

Thank you, Christine! I´d like that very much.

Would you be willing to re-read the 2nd one (listen to the audio, perhaps?) .. so more people could participate in discussing it?

I don´t re-read books myself either, but there´re very few things I wouldn´t do for this Goodreads group! ):
I know, I am very much addicted to it

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments I'll have to check my schedule, Lára. April is going to be a busy month for me. I have company coming.

Lára Kristin wrote: "They don't have a copy at all at my local branch and I have it on my booksfree queue but they don't have it available either. But if you could loan it to me that would be great!"

No problem at all! When we start, I'll loan it to you. And in case we don't start the book together, I'll loan it to you anyway (after we know for sure what'll be: buddy read or not). Thanks again.

I was suspicious about Graveyard Queen after the 1st book, but the 2nd one is so much better!

Thanks! you people rock!

Whichever you want, Lára, here it is. Remember, "buddy reads" are under author's name.

Lára sorry.. mars is march in icelandic. but may is fine, too. Thanks for your time.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Well, March is almost over with!

Nothing is over until is over, Lisa Kay. (;

I know you said "almost" but still...
imagine how fun it would be if we start with, say, 31st March!
