February Buddy Read Discussion Thread

I'd love to read a bit of romance!
I already know I'll be reading these in February, if anyone's interested in doing a buddy read for one or two of them:

I can get hold of Hyde so I'd be happy to do a buddy read for that one if you'd like.

Just thought you might like to know the Final Sign up link leads you to the January thread, not the February one!

Great Minttu, have you anything specific in mind, I need to read 5 romance books for another challenge anyway.

Done!! :)

Have you read the Shopaholic series? I'd be interested in reading Confessions of a Shopaholic. I've been meaning to read it forever :) Or possibly Remember Me??

I haven't read Confessions of a Shopaholic or Remember Me? so I would be willing to read either. Which would you be most interested in reading?

I browsed through your to-read books and found so many we both want to read. We should partner up every month to get those read :D
I'm not at all picky so if none of these is okay just throw some ideas my way.
Some books on your TBR-list I also want to read:

I'm so bad at deciding... Maybe Shopaholic, just to get the series started :)

Re decision making: that makes two of us. lol
I'm happy to go with shopaholic so let's begin there.

Fancy picking something that's on both our toread lists:
The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells
The Time Machine by H.G. Wells
The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
?

I'll sign us up at the final sign up post with our names & the book :)

Does anyone want to read The Magician's Nephew with me?
I'm new to this by the way so I need a little guidance :)

I'm happy to do the Magician's Nephew. :) I've read it before, but a long time ago and I can't remember much about it, so it'll be good to re read it.

Thanks Hester, I've signed us up. Looking forward to reading the book with you!

Hey Barbara I've been meaning to read stormdancer, you interested in reading it together?

We seem to have quite a lot of books in common on our to-read lists, e.g.
and
which incidentally both happen to be sitting on my bookshelves begging to be read. Wanna join up for one of those? Or something else from our TBRs if you prefer? :)

Awesome! :D I've been wanting to read it for ages (pretty much ever since Sanderson blew my mind with Mistborn: The Final Empire) and also finally bought it a few weeks ago. I'll go sign us up! :)

Instructions and Info
Rules:
Use this thread to find your buddy and determine your book! You can always start by posting books, authors or genres you are interested in! When you decide who you buddy and your book you will head on over to the FINAL SIGN UP thread (see link at bottom) and tell me your book and buddy there (there will be instructions to follow) If you are without a partner by the end of sign up I will match the remaining people up, so no worries...EVERYONE will have a buddy:-)
1.If you want to participate post your name and maybe let people know what genre(s) you are interested in reading.
2.If you already know who you’d like to read with, go to the Final Sign UP thread and post your information for me!
3.Whoever doesn’t have a partner, we will place with another person and you guys can pick a book together! If we have an odd number we can have groups of three, more people to discuss with!
4.I will create Buddy Discussion Threads for each Buddy group and you will be able to start reading and discussing on February 1st!
5.The challenge will span a month.
6.For each group we can set up a thread so the two of you can discuss without having to sift through a bunch of other conversation. But please leave us updates as to how far along you guys are and how you’re liking the book!
7.You CAN sign up for more than one Buddy Read...in fact it's encouraged! And I'm giving a full month just for reading this time around so it will give you more time for more books!!!
ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK!
Once you've found a book & a buddy go to the Final Sign Up and post a link to your book & who you'll be reading it with.
