A lot of people said falling kingdoms by morgan rhodes, but i don't agree. The charecters in that book are without depth and it is hard to root for them.

I recently read and thoroughly enjoyed the Storm Siren Trilogy by Mary Weber. It shares some, but not many, similarities with ToG.

@Desini I just finished Falling Kingdoms and I think the characters are well developed and have a lot of depth. I really enjoyed, and it is quite like ToG with all the fantasy and battles and fighting.

I would recommend half-blood by Jennifer L Armentrout (covenant series).

I would recommend Truthwitch, by Susan Dennard. Did you know that Susan is actually bffs with Sarah? That's also funny because this book I find a lot like throne of glass!

Actually, Emma, I wouldn't recommend Truthwitch. The plot is quite vague and boring, and there's almost no character development. But Six of Crows, although being less fantasy and more action/heist, is a wonderful book with a thrilling plot and intense characters. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Absolutely, without a doubt, bar-none, I would recommend the Queen of the Tearling trilogy if you like Throne of Glass. Not enough people I know are aware of this fantasy series, and it so freaking amazing.

It's got astoundingly strong female characters, very well done character development/interactions, very intricate worldbuilding with interesting components of science-fiction alongside its fantastical elements, and it's overall really gripping and intense.

It's "quieter" than Throne of Glass simply in a smaller amount of action sequences, but it makes up for that in extremely tension-filled socio-political dealings. And when it does get down to the action? OH MY GOD.

Just. just read it. I need more people to fan over this series with, lol. It's really wonderful. The final book in the series comes out in November.

You must read Song of the Lioness quartet (by Tamora Pierce) and The Old Kingdom series (by Garth Nix). These were actually some of the inspirations of SJM (according to her during book signing)

I am currently reading Ruined by Amy Tintera (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...)

This book is okay so far (perfect for my Empire of Storms hangover!) It's a story with another kick-ass female lead called Em. Ruined has a similar vibe to Throne of Glass. Plus it's the start of a series (second book due next year) I am curious to see where it goes, although it hasn't hit me in the feels yet like Sarah J Maas' stories do!

I do love the some of the series that you mentioned but I'd just like to say that the "Cinder" series is called The Lunar Chronicles and Game of Thrones is called A Song of Ice and Fire although everyone just refers to it as Game of Thrones.

Yes Seven Realms is a great series. Anything that author writes is incredible. I would recommend it all. You should read the spinoff series The Shattered realms. The first book is called Flamecaster.

I didn't enjoy Glass Sword as much as I enjoyed Red queen. I think it was just way too long for me and there wasn't much going on in the plot. Hopefully King's Cage Will be better.

When I've finished acomaf I didn't know what book should I pick up the next. I read TMI and TID and honestly I really liked them so I would recommend this series if you haven't read them yet. It's more of a Sci-fi read but I love the lunar chronicles and it was the first book I read after being in a pit of despair from realizing the wait for acowar or the next tog

Yes! oh my goodness I loved that series! And if you liked that, you should try 'Six of Crows'. It's set in the same universe, but like 50 years later. It's a bit more brutal, but so worth it!

Yes! I've been dying to get my hands on Poison Study. Have you read any of the other Maria V. Snyder books? Touch of Power was really good.

The Lunar Chronicles, The Shadowhunter Chronicles (my #1 series: TMI, TDI, TDA, + TLH and TWP in years to come), Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Three Dark Crowns (the first book came out this year)

These aren't necessarily similar to ToG and ACOTAR but I loved them all and I hope you will too!!

Poison Study from Maria V Snyder is great. It starts off in a similar way to TOG actually! The protagonist is being taken from a dungeon to meet with someone from the castle. It's totally different from there though. The characters are written well and of course there's a great romance in it! One of my favorites (no Feyre and Rhys though!)

Also Graceling is a good one. That also has a film due out this year I believe.
