the whole book was amazingly paced. it wasn't draggy at all. loved it.

The red queen (V. Aveyard): Don't expect Mare to be anything like the female characters in SJ Maas books, but I liked the male characters - all nice and grey with a mind of their own.
Snow Like Ashes (Raasch Sara): Easy read, I liked that Meira owns up to her powers and isn't as crazily insecure as some other female protagonists. She isn't Celaena, but at least she's decisive.
A court of Thorns and Roses (SJ Maas): Loved the book but unsure of weather I will continue reading if SJ Maas brings in a new ship - I am not a fan of jumping ships if these sacrifice characters, who were perfectly written, in order to make room for someone, previously evil, who needs redemption in the shape of killing off others. That's a MEH for me and if the speculations about the next books are right, I'm already 'Meh-ed' out...
Shatter Me (Tahereh Mafi): The first 40 pages were torture, I was honestly ready to put that book down... but I fought trough it and then finished it in one sit. The writing is actually good. The world building is there but subtle and confusing at times. This book def puts the romance in the foreground and I was surprised I didn't mind. However, I decided not to read further and keep this book in loving memory of a wonderful wonderful wonderful romance. (view spoiler)
I do think that people enjoying the Throne of Glass series would enjoy at least some of these books tho :)
Ordered Six of Crows the other day and am really excited to read it as everyone seems to love it, rating it way better than the Grisha books :)
Has anyone said Midnight Thief yet? I just started it and I love it. It's fantasy, about a teen girl who's a thief and becomes part of the Assassins' Guild.

I've read it! And yes it was great.
Oops nope got it confused with another book. But it looks great!

Beware for those who have extreme pro-marriage views - altho I can't imagine fans of TOG to be too engrossed with that.
Takes a few pages to suck you in but after that I had to stay up all night to finish it. Loved the main characters, Katsa is very Celaena-like and Greening/Po, he's just one of the awesomest male characters in YA fantasy ever.

Btw, don't know if anyone mentioned it here before - Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge , I just read that and I was in awe! It's also a Beauty and the beast retelling, like ACOTAR, but it is truer to being a fairytale and the world is vivid and wonderfully described, with some twisted characters.

EEEP YES MELISSA! Daughter of Smoke and Bone for the win. Have you read the entire trilogy?

Yes, i've finished all three :D have you? i dont wanna spoil anything. but i want to fan girl hahahaha

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima.

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima."
Yes! It is amazing, one of three of my favourite series (TOG is most definitely one of them!) Those ones and Eragon - personally I think if you like TOG, you'll absolutely love Seven Realms and Eragon ;)

Ugh! I'm reading that one right now because I though their style would be similar, as they are BBFs (yessss totally moronic asumption), but I'm really hating it! I'm having difficulty to even finish it. Does it get better? Is there an end game?

I haven't read the book (watched the show though) and some people call throne of glass a younger version of game of thrones so..."
I'm sorry but no...not at all...I've read both series and other than the "medieval" theme, they are not the same at all!!! Actually, if you'r into YA you most certanly shouldn't read Game of thrones...

I've seen a lot of people mentioning The Lunar Chronicles and I just wanted to say: YAAAAASSSS!!!!!! They are awesome sauce like TOG

The reason I brought up the book is that at the end in the acknologments, Susan acknologes Sarah!!!!!! Sarah J. Mass is the very first acknologment, my mind was just blown!
Then I remembered that The Starkillers series is written by both Sarah and Susan. My mind is thoroughly blown...
Anyway, I recommend reading Truthwitch.
