I am listening to The Governess of Highland Hall and reading A Home for Lydia. I am having difficulty with my current audio book. I downloaded the "Hoopla" app on my iPad and find that it intermittently "stops" through out the playing. Very frustrating. There is no audio, but the book continues and you have to pause the book, rewind and begin again. The story is very enjoyable, but app is not as user friendly, as the other ones I use.

"Head in the Clouds was my first introduction to Karen Witemeyer and I had read everything published afterwards. I "patiently" await each new release (HA HA) now.
I just finished reading a couple of books that I would highly recommend: The Pastor's Wife by Jennifer AlLee, and What She Left For Me by Tracie Peterson. The Pastor's Wife
What She Left for Me
I agree with Elizabeth and Dora, I love Karen Witemeyer! I have read every book she has written and loved them all!
I am currently reading A Plain & Fancy Christmas
. Not sure whether or not it is specifically Christian fiction, but it is a great story. I am also reading
A Prairie Christmas Collection. I am reading these Christmas books, now, as I want to wait a bit before my traditional Christmas reads.

Dora and Diane U: That's how I heard about her: friends who adored her books and have read many, if not all, of them! This is only my second one and I really enjoyed the first one I read, as I am this one. I also had bought several on Kindle when they were on sale so I plan to read more!
As for the anxiously awaiting the next one thing, I am that way about Amanda Lee's cozy mystery series! I can imagine I might be that way about Karen Witemeyer's too:-)
I thought Jodie Bailey was a new author, but it turns out that she has published a few suspense novels which I hadn't seen because I'm not big on suspense. Quilted by Love is a character-driven narrative with a small-town Appalachian setting, engaging characters, emotional romance and plot. I loved everything about this book! I am about to finish Boo Humbug
and Christmas at Pebble CreekChristmas at Pebble Creek. I will then begin my favorite holiday reading. Cosmic Christmas (An Angel's Story)
,
The Christmas Candle, The Christmas Child, by Max Lucado--The Max Lucado Christmas Collection: An Angel's Story/The Christmas Candle/The Christmas Child
, A Christmas Carol
and Jacob Marley's Christmas CarolJacob Marley's Christmas Carol. Not only will I listen to the audio versions of these books, but I will read each one, as well. It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Could be that I have been listening to or reading Christmas books, since the beginning of November, but my true Christmas reading will start soon.
