Lauren (Northern Plunder) (northernplunder) Sorry Rae, to hijack and create a new thread I just had to flail about in happiness somewhere and neither of the threads were suitable.

I finished reading Warm Bodies yesterday. I read it all in a day. It's been a while since I've read a full book in a day that wasn't a manga, I can't even begin to describe how great I found it. Definitely recommend it if any of you are looking for an easy read.

Ahh no problem, it's what this group is for. :D

I've been thinking about starting that one for a while as the concept sounded odd and totally opposite to normal zombie books and the trailer didn't look rubbish either so it got me interested in giving it a go.

I finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone last week and I love it. It's very similar to the mortal instruments as they have the same mythology but it's aimed for a slightly older audience.

Lauren (Northern Plunder) (northernplunder) Just finished reading Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life, super easy and quick read but what can you expect from a graphic novel. I kept comparing to the movie though which I've seen three times so I think it's lost some of its charm...

message 5: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I finished Tilt yesterday, and Carnival of Souls today. I really liked them both, but I didn't like Tilt as much as the the other books I've read by Ellen Hopkins.

message 6: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) (northernplunder) Today I also read Lost at Sea which I loved cause I felt like I could relate to it, a lot.

message 7: by Amber (new)

Amber Brown (ambernevabrown) I just finished A Long Fatal Love Chase a couple days ago. It was enjoyable.

Liz (lizzylcb28) | 2 comments I just finished It's Kind Of A Funny Story last night. It was a pretty good read especially considering that I saw the movie first. Today I started on Silver Linings Playbook. Hopefully I'll finish it in time to catch the movie still in theaters.

I loved Daughter of smoke and bone, I found it in a charity shop and read it last year. And I've just picked up the mortal instruments a few days ago aft hearing great things!!

Personally I've just finished reading The Lord of the rings (just after Christmas) and have literally just this second finished reading the silver linings play book, which I recommend highly. It's incredible and is definitely now one of my favourite books!!

I really enjoyed the mortal instruments, it's a series that my friends enjoy too and it's perfect for fangirling over, the movie is out this year too and it looks sooooo good.

Did you watch the film before you read silver linings? I have and now I'm not sure if I should buy it.

How different is it too the movie? I loved the film but I've not really thought about picking the book up because I'd seen it first.

I know hehe it's the movie trailer that tipped the scales and made me buy them!! I have the first four and want to read the first before I watch the film!

I've not seen the film yet but I'm dying to watch it!! The book was amazing, I really enjoyed it. Was a little sad in places but mostly just really quite funny especially his idea of how his "montage" would look.

Maren (majormaren) | 6 comments I just finished Beautiful Creatures, and I am kicking myself for not picking it up sooner. Amazing book. Wish the second one wasn't twice as expensive as the first! I'm heading to the library this weekend to see if i can get the rest of the series (though I doubt it, since the film comes out so soon!)

Sammy Taylor (sammysshelves) | 5 comments I recommend that any of you who haven't read The Fault in our Stars do so immediately. I read it in a day, I couldn't put it down, it was incredible.

message 16: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (rdothamm) Agreed! The Fault in Our Stars is amazing, this is a must read book for 2013 if you haven't read it already!

I recently finished Chris Colfer's book Struck by Lightning. It wasn't as good as I hoped it'd be, but it's a fairly fast read (it's written in the form of a journal) and it still had its humorous moments.

I finished it around noon today as well and have to completely agree with you! I didn't sleep at all, it was simply impossible for me to put it down!

Oh I read that last year! It was so great. Slightly disappointing ending but I would still read the sequel that has been set up for. More interesting than your average fantasy, and the set up/back story is really clever. Definitely recommend it xxx

I only just finished the book yesterday and I'm still thinking about it. It was definitely a good read! I'm going to see the movie tomorrow so I'll let you know how they compare!

Amber Brown (ambernevabrown) Just finished Reached by Ally Condie. Not the best of the 3, but I enjoyed the end.

It's so good.

Amber Brown (ambernevabrown) I'm reading an ARC of If I Ever Get Out of Here by Eric Gansworth. Pretty decent -- a YA about a Native American living on the reservation in the 70s, who has a love of the Beatles and befriends a military brat.

I'm reading Prodigy and I'm loving it. I would highly recommend the first book in the series Legend for those who haven't read it.

I finished it yesterday. I was a bit alarmed by some of the things which went down but then at the end they were all explained and realised I'd been totally sucker punched by Marie Lu so the end was perfect and as far from perfect as you can get at the same time.

This will all make sense once you read it :)
