Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments Ivanna wrote: "^ thanks guys :)"

I liked Easy better than Slammed...but I suppose that would be more NA than YA.

In a different genre...i remember reading Angelfall in one sitting and having it totally blow me away too.

Since you really like Gayle Forman, you might want to try Jenny Han. The first book, The Summer I turned Pretty, was a total page turner for me.

Hopeless (Hopeless, #1) by Colleen Hoover The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay both had me tearing up. I liked TSOT better, though.

I also thought there was some really beautiful poignancy in On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta , but the first few chapters take a bit to get used to.

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments I want a good romance, not a tear jerker. I don't care if it's paranormal or dystopian, but I don't want it to be young YA. I.e. something more than just flirting and one kiss at the end please.

I have a couple that I thoroughly enjoyed .. both are adult romance Bet Me, which is really funny and has depth of relationships at the same time & not a tear-jerker .. the other one is Scandalous, which is a historical romance.. I read it last month and liked it so much.. hope you find them useful!

I saw you had Hex Hall. That's a good YA series. Also Soul Screamers or Morganville Vampires.

Have you read White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black that's another great series.
I always recommend The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson for fantasy

The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis came highly recommended to me. I still haven't read it yet, but it sounds like something you might be interested in.
Also for abuse On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta maybe? And i am guessing you've already read The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay ?

For dorky girl and cool guy... Adorkable by Sarra Manning is on my TBR list and sounds like you might like it.

Also, I'm always interested in any 5 star books anyone comes across.

Need some sort of Dystopian romance, but nothing too romance-y. I really liked Matched and The Hunger Games...they were good

Have that right by my bed! Starting it right after I finish I am Number Four and Insurgent!

message 93: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I haven't read either of those books, but have you read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson ?

message 94: by Claudette (new)

Claudette (divergentgryffindor) | 59 comments Uhmm,I want to read dystopian novels like The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins and Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth . Can someone recommend books like these? Thanks a lot! :)

message 95: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I would try Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi , if you haven't already. The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner is also pretty good.

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments Leigh (Little Book Star) wrote: "What's a book that is kind of like Dash & Lily's Book of Dares and Anna and the French Kiss? :)"

Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2) by Stephanie Perkins Flat-Out Love (Flat-Out Love #1) by Jessica Park

message 99: by Jalyn (new)

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 3827 comments @Sarah- The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner and The Giver (The Giver, #1) by Lois Lowry aren't very romancey.

@Kaitlin-I've read Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn , but I don't read much contemporary romance. I did read the Between the Lines (Between the Lines, #1) by Tammara Webber series though and I really liked it :)

@Claudie-the closest I've read would be either Uglies (Uglies, #1) by Scott Westerfeld or Legend (Legend, #1) by Marie Lu if what you're looking for is action. I didn't think either were as good as The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins or Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth though. Those books are hard to beat! :)

message 100: by Mishma (new)

Mishma I haven't read Divergent yet. How's it like?
