I completely agree Mackenzie...every time I've re-read one of my favorites I've found new things to love.

When I was younger, I used to reread books all the time. I lived in a small town and it was easier to reach the end of good books. But I had to be careful not to reread them until I knew them by heart. Then I started to dislike them. Now I live in a big town and we have internet. So, I have to schedule time to reread a book. And it normally has to be a childhood favorite, although I could see sometime rereading books like Harry Potter that have remained popular.

I just plan to re-read my favorite books and the books that had plots I forgot (books that I liked). I re-read to remember but also to experience the stories again. However, I can't pick a book up too soon after I finished it the first time.

I agree with you both.
I really like re-reading books, especially the ones I enjoyed.

Hey, that is precisely why I stopped buying books, actually! I no longer had someone to lend them to, and really don't re-read myself, so now I just borrow.

So instead of re-reading if I'm feeling like I'm missing characters or want to experience the story again. I skim through a book and just read some of my favorite scenes.

if i like the book, i reread it. i read the unbecoming of mara dyer 4 times !!

I agree! I just reread Divergent and it was even better than reading it for the first time! :)

Absolutely agree with you

Reading I book once is like wearing a shirt once - if you don't wear it again, throw it away, because you don't seem to like it!
I will admit that reading the book the first time is always the best time, but re-reading it can be almost as enjoyable.

I will be re-reading the first Maximum Ride book again because I realized just how much I loved the first one and I need to read that one again.
