Evergreen arrived in the west forest around noon. She had walked though. A horse would be to loud and Evergreen's feet never seemed to wear out.

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Inwe walked into the forest, sighing.

As she ran through the underbrush, dodging thorn bushes and the branches of young trees. She smiled to herself, finding that she was actually excited to be going to the secret garden where she grew most of her family's food.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucanthè entered the forest and was walking on his usual track. He heard the noise of someone running near him, and he quickly ducked into some long grass.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade was still riding his horse on the trail that stretched through the woods, before he saw a girl run past him suddenly. Favrio spooked immediately, rearing up and letting out a deafening whinny of fright.
Kade wasn't prepared at all for this, and in turn fell off. He had fallen off his horse many a time, so it wasn't anything new to him. But it still left him seething at the girl. He had sword he had seen her smirk as she passed.
Favrio himself was stomping around, attempting to flee, yet in all the underbrush there wasn't a clear exit were he could go at a fast canter. Kade lifted himself up and grabbed his horse by the reins, jerking them rather harshly to calm his horse down. Favrio gave him an evil glance, but this was how they treated each other, and they were fine with it.
Kade mounted Favrio with ease, deciding to trail the girl and see if she had any treasures worth stealing.
A girl in such a rush must have something of my need...

Lucanthè then heard the whinnying of a horse and heard its hooves clap near him. Where he was crouching in the grass he could see that the elf on the horse was riding after the girl he had heard running, without a thought, he silently chased after the two of them.

((Lol, Kade's going to be kind of disappointed. XD ))

Lahrka thought she heard something behind her, but she didn't look back and figured it was probably a flock of birds taking off or some such. Her breath was loud in her ears as she continued weaving between the trees, starting to slow her pace as she neared the hidden garden.

message 8: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 14, 2013 06:39PM) (new)

Lucanthè heard the girl slow down and then snuck around the elf on the horse so he was infront of both of them.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

As the girl slowed down, Kade decided Favrio was too loud to go on unnoticed. But only to his surprised when he slowed to a stop another elf was in front of him. He instinctively whipped out his bow, pointing it at the stranger. "State your name and business." He said through narrowed eyes.

message 10: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 14, 2013 06:47PM) (new)

"Calm down." He said pointing at the elftress "you're following her aren't you?" He said in a quiet voice.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

((Brb))

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

His eyes remained skeptical, but they were far more interested now.
"What of it?" He asked, lowering his bow slightly, giving the boy a chance to speak. His voice was lowered into a deep whisper, his blue eyes flitting towards the girl. Maybe he and this elf could split the loot if they found anything of value.

message 13: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 14, 2013 06:56PM) (new)

He ignored the boy, reaching up and pushing his bow towards the ground so it wasn't pointing into his face. He turned to look at the girl. He hoped she hadn't seen him. "What are you going to do to her?" He said as he turned back to the Elfton, glaring at him

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade didn't really like the fact that the elf touched his bow, but instead of saying something he just gave a really distasteful look to him, before dismounting.
"That's none of your business at the moment," Kade replied smoothly. This one didn't look like the kind to steal from others. And Kade wasn't in the mood to receive a pity-talk about the cons of stealing at the moment.

Too far ahead to hear Lucanthè and Kade's voices, Lahrka continued walking at a fast clip before stopping next to an ancient, gnarled tree. Its leafy branches stretched wide over the forest floor and thick, leafy vines hung from them, creating a wall of sorts. Looking around to make sure she was alone, Lahrka slipped through the vines and into a world of her own creation; sunlight shone brightly into the "room" that Lahrka had created. One wall was the vines hanging from one of the ancient tree's branches, another was a trellis overgrown with different kinds of climbing plants staked into the ground. Half of a third wall was the old tree's trunk itself, the other half was more hanging vines. The final wall was an actual wall: wooden planks nailed together and set into the ground, but so overgrown by ivy and other climbing plants that it blended into the greenery.
As for the garden, there were a some short rows of plants such as potatoes, carrots, beets, and a few other roots. Most of the plants, though, were kept in broken pots that rested on the mossy branches of the ancient tree, herbs growing plentifully in them. Lahrka had tomatoes growing in an urn positioned in the corner between the planked wall and the overgrown trellis, which had a grape vine growing up the inside.
Stepping over the soft dirt to a rope that hung down from one of the old tree's high branches and was tied to a stake in the ground, Lahrka undid the knot and began lowering a chipped pot that held her gardening tools: a small spade, rake, and a pair of dirty gloves.

Lucanthè glanced back in the direction of the Elftess, she was gone. Stunned he looked back, there was no where to disappear, no way she could have ran. He turned to the Elfton holding in a smile, glad she had got away from The elf on the horse.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"Great, now the both of us have lost her." Kade huffed, hurriedly tying Favrio to the nearest tree. He pulled out his bow just in case, and shoved Lucanthè aside before working his way through the bracken quietly in pursue of the girl.

message 18: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 14, 2013 07:13PM) (new)

Righting himself he said "now I'm really not going to help you find her."

Lahrka removed the tools from the pot and tucked the gloves into her belt before raising the pot back to its place among the high branches and tying the rope to its stake. She paused and listened, not sure as to whether she had heard something or her mind was playing tricks on her. Deciding it must be her mind playing tricks, she set the spade and rake by the base of the huge tree and swung up onto the lowest branch before climbing higher to harvest a few herbs whose smaller pots were nestled on the mossy higher branches.

It only took Kade a moment to realize how much trouble he was getting himself into over such a stupid ordeal. But he remembered the hurried rush she had been in, and came up with another thought. Maybe she has some sort of connections to other things of my use. At this point he decided to turn himself around to the boy. He ran a hand through his dirty-blond hair, before holding it out for a shake.
"I'm sorry for pushing you. I'm Kade." He introduced himself. The boy seemed smart and nice enough for the time being, and maybe they could sort out some sort of deal.

message 21: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 14, 2013 07:26PM) (new)

"Right" he said in a soft tone frowning. He felt sort of edgy towards this boy... Like he was hiding something. "Stevën." He said shaking the boys hand. He knew better that to tell his name to strangers, especially the ones who point bows into your face when you meet.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"Kade." He didn't hesitate in the telling of his name. He had told everyone his name, and so far he hadn't become a notorious thief. "By the way, I was chasing the girl because I had seen her earlier today. In one of the pubs. I thought it was odd seeing her run through the forest, so... yeah." Right now wasn't his best moment with constructing sentences. But he did keep out the part where she smirked. Whether it was at him or not (it wasn't) it still bothered him deeply. As if she had some horrible secret. Maybe she's hiding a body... For some reason the thought amused him deeply, and he hardly stifled a snort of laughter. He had a feeling that this Stevën character wouldn't find it as amusing.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucanthè looked at the ground where he had seen the elf walk and followed her tracks with his eyes, then they abruptly ended, one halfway through what looked like a solid wall. He wouldn't be telling that to Kade, but I guess he would find out soon enough.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade did notice the boy's eyes flickering randomly, but he paid no mind to it. Once again he wondered if this trouble was even worth it, and decided it would be best to at least try.

((Poet and Ashby, where should their relationships end up? Should they end up as a traveling trio of some sort, enemies, or just have this situation dissolve into a simple meeting?))

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh I see." He said falsely smiling and nodding "yeah that is a bit strange. Well why don't we split up, cover double the ground, if you see something call out. I'll go this way." He said pointing towards where he saw her tracks.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Now Kade noticed them. He too pointed to them, taking a few steps towards the muddy imprints. "Well why would we split up if the tracks are right in front of our faces? She couldn't have gone far." His icy eyes then shifted back to the boy. Something was up with him.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

((Hmm I don't know what do you think Poet?))

((Hmm, the traveling trio thing might work. I'd like for them to be friends. :) What about you guys? ))

Lahrka crouched on the branch next to one of the pots that held a thorny herb commonly used in cooking. She took one of the gloves from her belt and pulled it onto her left hand then took her knife and began trimming some of the thorny plant's leaves into the palm of her gloved hand.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

He mentally swore, but kept a straight face. "That's true." Lucanthè followed the tracks, stopping at places to 'examine' them. "Strange...." He said

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

((Yeah, That sounds cool:) ))

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

((I was thinking the same. We just have to find like a common interest/goal or something to kind of bring them together. I was hoping they would become very good friends, to the point where they defend each other often or whatever. I'm just trying to think of something big enough to allow that to happpen. :/))

Kade scrunched his face up. What is he bloody looking at? He was getting quite flustered being around this elf. He felt as though he was constantly being tricked. I bet he thinks I'm stupid. This didn't surprise no infuriate him. It was a common interpretation of Kade. He was used to it by now, and could even use it to his advantage every now and again. Whatever. Let him play his elfling game. He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms as he slackened on his posture slightly, just watching him stare at the tracks.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

"They just end." He said and walked towards where the tracks were. He lent against the vines hoping to hear something on the other side, bit instead fell straight through landing on something spiky. Well he hadn't expected that.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

His eyes widened lightly as he leaned through the now large hole in the wall. "You okay?" He asked, taking a look around.

((Yeah, that would be awesome! Hmm... I will think with you. *puts on thinking hat*))

After harvesting some of the herbs she needed from the thorny plant Lahrka slipped the clippings into a small open pouch that hung on her belt then sheathed her knife before sliding deftly to the branch below her to harvest some tiny berries from another plant that had slightly purple leaves. Hearing a loud rustle she started and very nearly lost her balance. Looking down she saw two male elves peering into her garden. Luckily, she was mostly hidden from view, so she kept perfectly still, watching them with wide, bright green eyes.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

He pulled the spiky think off his arm, it looked to be some type of cactus, he felt tiny pins stuck in his arm. He cringed as he pulled one out and it began to turn purple. "What izzz thieis ?" He said, his head swirling and thoughts muddling. He stood up and began tripping.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

((I'll try to think of something in school tomorrow; I've gotta go to bed now. Night!))

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

((Ok:) well goodnight. That's so weird cause its like afternoon where I am and where on summer holidays lol!!!))

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

((Last post.))

Kade couldn't help but snicker lightly. He fortunately caught the elf before he had tripped right back into the cactus. A grin swept across his face as he guided him to a rock. He wasn't about to lose his guide.
Kade seated him down, and began to pull out more the the needles; the only thing he could think would help.
"What is this place?" He murmured lightly as he continued to aid the elf.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

((Wow! That's weird! Yeah, it's 11:01 PM here, and it's the middle of the school year. I wish it was summer!))

((That is strange! Are you in Australia or New Zealand? It's only 10:04 here.))

Lahrka winced as she saw one elf pull thorns from the arm of the other. 'That's not going to help any,' she thought, but stayed still. She wasn't sure why these two were snooping around, but she figured as soon as they saw she was an ebony-skinned they would treat her harshly. She wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but every time she'd done that before she'd been turned on and treated badly. 'I wonder how long they'll be poking around,' she thought, biting her lip. 'Maybe they'll leave without noticing me.' Of course, if they were going to be looking around for a while she didn't want to be stuck hiding in the tree the entire time.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

(( haha awww bugger. I'm in Australia I wish I was in nz though because its really beautiful.))

"Donnnnn pull them owwchhh." He mumbled out, the world spinning around him. "The elfftesssse!" Lucanthè tried to raise his shaky arm toward the shadows.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Inwe ran over to them.
"You three okay?" She asked

((didn't read the whole thing))

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

((Hii :) sorry i think the others r offline and my charrie is sorta passed out or something lol))

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

((that's cool :P))

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

((Only two of them are visible at the moment.))

Kade huffed, still pulling them out, ignoring his words of protest. "Oh, keep quiet. You'll be fine." But once the boy raised his shaky hand up, his eyes darted upwards. They squinted into the shadows, and he swore he saw a flash of fabric.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

((which 2?))

Inwe creased her brows at the two elves she could see

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

((Kade and Lucanthe, Lakrha is hiding :) ))

Lahrka held perfectly still as the taller elf's eyes shot to right where she was crouched. She bit her lip and seriously debated on whether or not to show herself. She couldn't stay crouched like this forever; her feet were starting to tingle as they began to fall asleep.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

He blinked once, and decided it was just a trick of the mind. He unlatched his satchel and pulled out a small flask that was stopped with a cork. A mysterious blue liquid was inside of it, indicating a healing potion.
"You owe me ten coins for using this on you." He grumbled, pouring some onto his cotton cloak and using it to dab at the boys wounds.
