Lahrka watched the boys silently, wondering vaguely about the potion. Her feet were really starting to fall asleep now, and she knew she would have to either shift her position and involuntarily give herself away, or reveal herself to them of her own volition.

"Owwchhh " he said, he knew that feeling, healing potion. He felt the burning stop, and the spinning feeling stop. He tried to stand up, but he still felt woozy. "I saw her!" He was saying to Kade

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade raised a brow. "Where?" He whispered, looking around.

((I just went over my daily post limit on Tumblr. It's only 9:42 PM. ekjflkg))

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

((Hahaha :) ))

He pointed towards the shadows.

((Haha, oops. XD))

Lahrka took a breath and climbed down out of the tree so they could see her clearly, ebony skin and all. She looked them over quickly with her bright green eyes and hoped they would be different and wouldn't treat her like she was some sort of demon.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade looked up in surprise. So it was the girl he had seen earlier. She looked a little frightened, as she should be. But Kade believed she was frightened for the wrong reason.
Kade was never the racist type; if someone worked hard and earned what they had--whether it be by means of thievery like himself, or hard honest work-- he often got along fine with them.
He didn't really know how to start the conversation, though, and looked at his male companion for help.

Lahrka felt like she should say something, but she wasn't entirely sure what would be appropriate in this situation. A simple 'hello'? A harsh 'what are you doing in my garden'? An introduction? She decided to go with the first; she had enough enemies as it was, and she found herself hoping these two would be accepting of her.
"Uh...hello," she said, able to keep most of her nerves out of her voice.

Lucanthè sensed the girls nervousness, he stood up, he didn't know what to say and the 'we were following you' he thought sounded a bit creepy. He looked at the girl and replyed "Hi. Where are we?"

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucanthè heard the slightest sound behind him and turned around, searching through the trees. Then he heard another elf near him speak to them (Inwe) it wasn't Kade or the girl they had followed. Lucanthè wondered how they had found the three of them.

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

Luc looked through the trees, he saw a flash as someone moved, then he saw the Elftess.

"My garden," Lahrka said, gesturing to the small rows of vegetables and the pots of various other plants that took up the hidden room in the forest. "I...well, I keep it hidden from others because every time I've tried to grow vegetables in my yard someone uproots or tramples them. All because of my skin color." She shook her head with disgust and looked back at the two men. "So I started a garden here, where no one would think to look."

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

Inwe stepped over to them.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's terrible!" He blurted. "I..I mean that's really unfair. Don't worry though, your different and there all the same. Some elves can be jerks. I can relate to that tho, I was bullied as a kid too, I don't have a father. Well I did, but anyway. And when I learnt to embraced it as part of me they soon after stopped." He said kindly.
Then, looked around him, first to Inwe and then to the Elftess. "We have company."

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

Inwe stepped back. "Uh, hi?" She said.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

"Um.. Hello. May I ask.. Who are you?" He said to the Elftess and then looked towards the other Elftess in the trees.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

"My name is Inwe Melendur." She said.

((note, there are meant to be teo dots over the e into Inwe))

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucanthè looked towards Kade, and realised whatever buisness Kade had with the Elftess would have to wait.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

"I can go..." Inwe said, frowning.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

((Like ë?))

"Melendur? As in the sword trainer? Im Lucanthè my mother knew your father.. Before..." He finished his sentence abruptly, knowing he shouldnt have said anything about her father. Then he remembered he had told kade the fake name, and he wasn't keeping up the pretence. This was not going well for him. He looked from Inwë to the other Elftess who's garden they were in, realising he didn't know her name either, then to the other elftesse by the trees, then back to Inwë. "Sorry." He tried to apologise.

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

((perfect :P))

Inwë shrugged. "It's okay, it is good that my father is still remembered." She smiled sadly.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

"Right. He was a good Elfton." He said kindly, giving Inwë an sympathetic smile.

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade looked around, his eyes glazed over in confusion. He stood up, tucking away the expensive potion into his satchel, seeing as the boy wouldn't be needing it anymore.
"Wait, so you two know each other?" He asked, looking at Inwë and Lucanthè.

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

Taca and Eyahah ran into the forest. Taca rested Eyahah on a rock and she sat down next to her, breathing in and out slowly and trying to catch her breath. It didn't take long though, because she sat straight up again with a huge smile on her face.

Inwë blinked. "Her mother was a friend of my fathers." She smiled sadly and a tear ran down her cheek at the memory of her mother and father.

Taca thought a moment, thinking about where the really could be. "I-I think that we're in Delven Wood. In the east forest." She guessed, glancing around at the different looking trees. "I know that we certainly aren't in Delven Shadow any longer." She observed.

Lahrka nodded and looked down at her dirty feet, unsure of what to say until a question popped into her mind. "Why did you follow me?" She asked, looking at Kade and Lucanthé questioningly.

message 77: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) Círwin walked out of her small home and trotted west. She stayed behind some oaks, past a group of elves. She stopped and peered through some ferns at the few elves gathered.

message 78: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 19, 2013 07:18PM) (new)

"Well.... I was following Kade." He said, not far from the truth.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade looked over at the male elf with a slight frustration in his eyes.
"I had seen you in the bar earlier, and I thought you might have been in danger, running so fast." He shrugged, as if it wasn't a big deal.

Lahrka shrugged, not sure how to respond to concern for her safety. "I was just excited to be coming here; I haven't been out here for quite a while. Er...thank you for your concern, though..." She smiled slightly and rubbed the back of her neck a little self consciously.

message 81: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë could hear the other Elves talking. She was very curious about this now. She saw tracks and a fake wall with an opening. She peered through to see a gather of Elves. She quietly slipped in. She walked up behind Kade, not making a sound. She knew who he was, but not well. She just knew his name, appearance, and of his thievery. "Well, this is interesting." she said, now only a foot behind Kade.

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

With whip-like reflexes, Kade was pointing his bow at the girl within seconds, his eyes shifty. He was on edge as of late, and didn't like the idea of more coy elves in the scene.
"No problem." He answered to Lahrka, without taking his eyes nor weapon off the new girl.

message 83: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) Círwin, realizin this group of elves would only be caused more trouble if she joined, walked on, leaving the group behind her.

message 84: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë was unfazed by the weapon. "Oh, put it down." she said to Kade. "I'm not dangerous."

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade was growing intensely frustrated with this entire situation. About every two seconds a new, bothersome, annoying elf had come in, just making issues harder. He didn't even know why he was so hung up on this girl, anyway. He felt like punching this new elf straight in the jaw, but he wasn't uncivilized, and knew that there was a place and time for that. And it was not now. Instead he lowered his bow, and turned to Lahrka. "Well, seeing as you aren't in any true danger, and I've already wasted a great portion of my time, I will be on my way." He gave a quick bow, before walking back towards where he had tied up Favrio.

message 86: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë trailed after him. "You seem upset." she stated as he walked.

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

"Do I?" He asked, sarcasm dripping from his sentences. He didn't look back at the girl. He did feel rather bad about giving up such a great opportunity. That Lahrka girl must have had something of his worth. Besides, he felt strangely protective of her. Whether it be her race, gender, or whatever, he didn't know. But he knew it wasn't over with her. Nor that strange elf boy who had stopped him from interfering with her.

message 88: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë huffed. "Well, someone is in a bit of a mood." She asked "Where are you off to?"

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

"Not quite sure yet." He shrugged, making his way through the bracken. He slightly wanted to visit his sister in the Shire, but knew he would just get yelled at for denying his acts of thievery, and Kade was quite sick of being yelled at. He would probably go home, or maybe try and pickpocket someone.

message 90: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë titled her head. "If you intend on stealing from someone, I intend on coming."

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

He chuckled lightly. "Don't tell me you're a thief, too? Too many people are interested it this job market." He shook his head lightly.
He heard a light whinny, and sped up a little, into a fast walk.

message 92: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë shrugged. "I am but I'm not. If that makes sense to you."

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm not one for riddles." He spoke dryly, before reaching his horse. He ran a hand down his muzzle to calm him, before untying his reins from the tree. Favrio shot Maranwë a rather evil and unsettling look for a horse, before Kade mounted him.
"I'm afraid this is where we part."

message 94: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë chuckled and let out a short, piercing whistle. A large Cullassel came through the trees and stopped in front of her. She patted its head and mounted it. "As you were saying?" she asked with a smug grin.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Fine. Lead the way." He gestured his hand loosely, feeling as though if she had to come, she may as well share some thieving pointers for him.

message 96: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë said "I think not. You are to lead this expadition. I am not so much as a leader as a follower, Kade." She sthen added "Another question. Have you no curiosity as to who I am? After all, I know who you are."

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

Once she said his name, the only thought that went through Kade's mind was, I've got to start reducing my notoriety or move. Moving was always the easier of the two. But he knew, eventually, he would have nowhere to run or hide. That though did scare him, as he knew the authorities would probably end up going for his sister and many brothers. He only decided then to see if changing his name would work.
He pulled a rather convincing confused look, tilting his head. "Kade? You thought I was him? No, I'm Aerandir Ar-Feiniel." He said with confidence. He was a good liar, and hopefully he had executed this one rightly so.

message 98: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë laughed, a light ringing sound. "I know that you are Kade. I have seen you in the past, though you were not aware of it."

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

He cursed lightly under his breath. "When have you ever seen me?" Granted, he walked the streets often, but he preferred to stay at home. He eased Favrio into a light trot, back towards town as he talked with the girl.

message 100: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments She said "Thats for me to know. By the way, my name is Maranwë. I'm not lying about my name in case it crossed your mind. I don't like lying unless it is necessary."
