"Yet you say you're a thief?" He questioned, shooting a smirk her way. But his face easily transitioned into a rather grim one. "Everyone who steals must learn how to conjure up tales in a moments notice. Believable ones, at that."

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë shrugged. "I can lie. I just don't like TO lie. There is a difference."

message 103: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sorry got to go do homework!))

"So, what exactly are you planning on doing with me tonight? Stealing via force, or stealing via sneakyness?" Kade asked.

message 104: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments ((aww.. okay))

Maranwë considered the options. "Sneakyness. It proves better than by force."

message 105: by [deleted user] (new)

Inwe raised an eyebrow at them. "Should I even ask?"

Lahrka bit her lip; she had wanted to ask Kade for absolute secrecy concerning her garden. She didn't think anyone would come looking for the garden unless they were bored, but she didn't want anyone else to know about it; three people were too many as it was. She would have to catch up and ask him later.
She glanced at Lucanthé before turning and picking up a basket sitting by the tree. Turning to the few short rows of root vegetables, she knelt down and began gingerly pulling up some carrots, glancing at the boy every few moments.

message 107: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucanthè watched Lahrka. Her dark skin was glowing, and he realised in that moment how beautiful she was. Glancing back at Kade, Lucanthè chucked him a small green bag full of money. "Thanks for helping me before...."

message 108: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade gave him a swift nod, tucking the pouch into his pocket as he began to trot again, but stopped to look at Lahrka. Almost reading her mind, he said, "Don't worry. I won't tell anyone about your garden plot." He said, and you could tell truth rang in his words. He gave her a swift nod, before pushing Favrio into a swift canter, checking to make sure Maranwë was following him.

Lahrka smiled thankfully at Kade; she could tell he was being honest, and it touched her. No stranger had ever shown kindness like that to her before. She turned to look at Lucanthé, "Will you keep this place secret?"

message 110: by [deleted user] (new)

"Of course" He replied. Lucanthè heard a voice outside calling his name. Great his brother knew he would come to the west forest. He walked out realising what was outside wasn't his brother. A Tasartir stood outside calling his name. Wired. He grabbed his bow and nocked an arrow pointing it at the spirit horses cloudy blue eye. The Tasartir looked past the bow pointed at it directly into Lucanthés eyes. "How do you know my name?" He said to it.
((Is that ok? Not much was happening so was trying to make it interesting....))

message 111: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade looked behind him once again, double checking on the girl, only to see a large blue beast in front of Lucanthè. Extremely rare, his sister dreamed of breeding such beautiful creatures. He immediately turned around, Favrio rearing up in surprise at the jerk in his reins.

message 112: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 22, 2013 06:47PM) (new)

Lucanthè saw Kade turn around, but the spirit horse didn't seem to notice.... Or maybe he knew that was going to happen. "Follow them" It said softly in Lucanthés mind. Though the beast didn't look at all tame, he lowered his bow and put the arrow back in his quiver. The Tasartir lowered its head and Lucanthè reached out and strokes its muzzle. It stood about a head taller than him, so he had to reach up high. "But.. What about my brother... My mother?" He said aloud to the Tasartir.
"There dead Lucanthè." It spoke to him matter of factly. The Tasartir then blinked at Lucanthè and a calmness rushed over him and he forgot about the sorrow he should have felt. Pictures then rushed into Lucanthés mind, the Tasartir felt sorry for Lucanthè, an image of tears running down the horses face and sorrow in his eyes, many pictures were running past Lucanthés eyes, fire, his brother, his mother, a strange man he didn't know, forests, Lucanthés house in Delven wood then lastly a picture of a boy riding a Tasartir.

message 113: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade's first instinct would have been to throw ropes over the horse creature, but remembering his sister's numerous lessons in horse training, he got off Favrio slowly, a determined but almost pleading look in his eye as he approached the creature. If this Tasartir allowed Kade to bring him back to the Shire and breed him, all his problems would be solved. Kade would be able to move back home and help raise his siblings. He could even start a family. All financial problems would be gone in a flash.

Lahrka stepped out of her garden, a basket of vegetables in her arms, and made sure the vine wall concealed the growing place inside. Turning, she was shocked when she saw one of the Tasartir standing in front of Lucanthé. She nearly dropped her basket, but tightened her grip on it at the last second. She'd never, even in her wildest dreams, thought she would see one of these Spirit Horses.

message 115: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 22, 2013 06:55PM) (new)

The Tasartir looked at Kade and whinnied.
Lucanthe knew what that last picture meant and smiled at the horse again, patting his head and ears, then Lucanthè walked to the horses back and hoisted himself on it, grabbing the Tasartir's mane and holding on tightly, the strange markings on the horse glowed. The Tasartir neighed quite like a horse, but more strong and mysterious and then raised on its back legs. Then fell back to the ground. Lucanthè had to hold on tight so didn't fall off. "What's your name?" Lucanthè said, and the Tasartir said "Celeśti."

message 116: by [deleted user] (new)

((Kade isn't holding a rope.))

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucanthè saw Lahkra come out of the garden aghast. "Her names Celeśti." He said patting her shoulder blade. "Don't be scared of her... I think she's trying to help us."

message 118: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 22, 2013 06:54PM) (new)

Kade approached the Tasartir, bowing lightly as he came closer. He didn't know quite how to handle this amazing situation, but his blue eyes fluttered upwards. Instead of the usual coldness, they were filled with a bit of fear and anxiety.
"Great Tasartir, it would be my honor if I could lead you back to my family's stables to breed you. Your race is slowly dying out, and this would ensure it's stability. You need not stay for longer than a year, then I can return you to your wild state in peace." His words were honest, though rather shaky.

Lahrka nodded quietly and took a tentative step toward the massive horse, reaching out shakily to touch the creature's shoulder.

message 127: by [deleted user] (new)

((You guys can rp the Tasitir too if you want/like?))

Celeśti blinked towards Kade and spoke to him "I can sense the love that your heart can hold, though it may not have surfaced yet, Kade Goldenfarrow. I cannot go with you, for I am to help you with your journey, and I need to help your friends. I am a wild beast, and we cannot alter the balance of nature. But, Elfton there is hope for you and your family yet, the spirit horses tell me when you return to your home a great bounty will await you."

message 128: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments With that, Maranwë snapped out of it. She looked at Kade with a smug look. She mouthed "Told ya I knew who you were."

message 129: by [deleted user] (new)

Kade frowned. The words had a ring of wisdom to them, but Kade felt his heart drop. "As you wish." He said half-heartedly, mounting his more-than-normal horse. He turned to Maranwë. "C'mon, let's get going." He said, his tone dark and slightly aggravated.

message 130: by [deleted user] (new)

The Tasatir spoke to Lucanthè again "follow them... At a distance." And so Lucanthè waited until they had gone far enough that he could just see them and urged the horse to follow them but the Tasatir whispered to him "what about the Elftess?" And Lucanthè looked towards Lahrka.

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë's Cullassel kept at the same pace of Kades horse. "What was that all about, Kade?"

message 135: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) Círwin caught sight of the group of elves she had just passed on the road a few yards to her left. Instinctively, she froze. Were they following her? She asked herself. Did they know of her... former, life?

message 136: by [deleted user] (new)

"Nothing." He muttered. He felt utterly foolish for even approaching the blasted creature. He had embarrassed himself in front of the stupid elf boy, revealing a great deal about his family's issues. He felt like smashing his skull against a wall. How could he have been so stupid?

message 137: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) She watched them for a moment more before deciding they had nothing to do with her. Círwin stepped behind some undergrowth, silently. Hoping to slink away without getting spotted. She bowed her braided head ducked underneath a willow oak.

message 138: by [deleted user] (new)

Inwë spotted Círwin and walked over to her.

Kate R (katetheshortone) As she heard someone approach, Círwin winced and ducked even further behind the trunk of the large tree. Not only was she never caught, she was never this careless. Maybe staying in once placed has made me soft, she thought.

"And what of it?" He said, his voice rising slightly. "My family is of no concern to you, nor anyone else. So you best drop the subject now." Anger flared in his blue eyes, the warmth that had occupied them earlier gone.

message 143: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (derek1) | 23 comments Maranwë's own eyes held their own storm. "Family if important. All I wanted to do was possibly help."

message 144: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) Círwin peered around the rough bark of the tree and stared at the Elftress. She was tall and willowy, with long blond hair past her waist. Her green eyes glittered with good intent. Cautiously, Círwin stepped away from the tree and pliéd gracefully to her. "Círwin, Círwin Anaróre," she replied, staring intently at the ground.

message 145: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well, you can't." He huffed, clicking his tongue as a signal for Favrio to speed into a canter. "Let's just get this job over with." He honestly wasn't in the mood for thieving, but he decided if they found a rather shady looking character he could give him a good punch in the jaw. Punching always seemed to help with anxiety or anger, in Kade's case.

Kade slowed down to s stop once they reached the border between the forest and the city. "One moment." He said, fumbling in his satchel briefly.

((Since Ashby still needs to catch up with our characters, I'll just stretch out this scene until she comes online.))
