Chrystal (chrystal0830) Yeah my favorite of them was the third book too. I think it turned into an "adult" modern fairy tale, the one where the girl gets the rich guy and lives happily ever after LOL. I also liked that they were a quick read too....only took me a week to get through all three.

I am really enjoying it...about halfway through the book and it has slowed down a little bit. I have the next two books from the series but I need to read something else before I dive back into the series.
At our Books a Million the Red Queen is in the bargain books for $3.97.
The Lady of the Rivers is also a bargain book for $3.97
Is anybody else watching the Starz show?

The book is very unconvincing though i was compelled to finish it in one sitting but at the end I am sourly unimpressed by it. Wouldn't recommend it.

Really? I loved it. It really affected me. I work in a school and see bullying all of the time. I think it should be required read in all schools so kids can see how, even though they think they didn't do anything too bad, it can build onto what else happens in someone's life and have serious consequences.

May be you view the book from a different angle and I agree with you that kids do hurt other kids knowingly or unwittingly. But are these so severe reasons for Hanna to commit suicide? Sure she must be depressed and hurting but shutting oneself and not letting others reach you just doesn't sit right with me especially in this case. May be as a teenager I have been fortunate enough to be able to keep an open mind. I would just write this book a little differently and let Hanna be a little more strong-willed and hopeful.

Robin (robinpickell) | 421 comments I went to random.org & pasted in my reading list for this month (21 books) and randomized the list. So much fun (although I admit I re-randomized them a few times to get a better variety). Anyhow.

First books up for 3 manga series, so I read: Wish, Vol. 01 by CLAMP Wish, Vol. 02 by CLAMP Wish, Vol. 03 by CLAMP Wish, Vol. 04 by CLAMP Pokemon Adventures, Volume 1 Desperado Pikachu by Hidenori Kusaka RG Veda, Vol. 01 by CLAMP .
The CLAMP titles are for a challenge. I think next up is Hunted (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #6) by Kevin Hearne , but not sure - cannot wait to seek out my list!

message 2192: by Gotobedmouse (new)

Gotobedmouse Finally finished "The White Queen". I enjoyed the book, even though it started feeling tedious at times. I have the next two books in the series, but I need to take a break from The War of the Roses for a bit.
I have my next book narrowed down to "The Book Thief" and "The Sweetest Hallelujah"
BTW-How do you put the book cover in your comments?

Kristie | 5929 comments Gotobedmouse wrote: "BTW-How do you put the book cover in your comments?"

Directions to add a book link/cover:

This can only be done when online and not when using an app.

When typing in the text box, on top of the box there is a link that says "add book/author". Click on that and a new box will appear.

To add a link that just has the book name, you can click "link" at the bottom of the "add book/author" box. The link is the automatic setting. To add a book cover, click on "cover" at the bottom of the box.

Type your book name in the space provided at the top of the new box and click on "search". When you see your book, click the "add" button to the right of it.

Hope this info helps!
