I just finished Rot & Ruin. My. Gosh. It was absolutely wonderful. I have nothing to read now though >.< I'm at home and lately I've been borrowing books from random kids at school. I feel like crying. I'll have to beg my friend to bring over Clockwork Angel, Vladimir Tod 2, and a couple of other books.............. I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that I read two books in five days. Jeez, me. It seems I am back to my old ways. OH, HEY. MY BROTHER HAS BOOKS! I'm off to raid my brothers collection.
@Megan don't know if you're still looking for something to read..I just finished The selection by Kiera Cass and I really enjoyed it.

What do you think of it so far?
I am reading The Perks of a being Wallflower. I am 40 yrs past adolescence but it brought back so many memories..good and bad! 40 yrs later I can say there were perks in being a wallflower but I wish I would have had this book to read in high school and didn't need so many yrs to figure that out! This is a great book for anyone who has ever felt left out and " saved by the power of friendship"
Lynn, if you are enjoying The Perks of Being a Wallflower, you may enjoy a book called Paradise Squandered. A friend of mine recommended it to me because of my love of the novel Catcher in the Rye.I recommend Paradise Squandered to anyone who appreciates a well written and honest coming-of-age story. Like I wrote in my review: This book honestly captures what it's like to be an angry 18 year old searching for what is real and important in life through trial and error.
On another note, I'm not too crazy about the book Season of Passage. I'm almost half way through, and I'm going to finish it, but it's not my cup of tea. I just started reading Dune also. I'm looking for a good epic Sci Fi read. Anyone have a suggestion for me?
I am reading the Great Gatsby!!!! I think it's a good book but I think that F. Scott Fitzgerald was a little long winded at times and loves to use big words for no special reason!
I just started reading Dark Lover (#1 Black Dagger Brotherhood)..... I haven't gotten very far, but so far I like it... Though it is a bit confusing, since the point of view shifts between 4 different people..

I love it! Though I had to go back to Clockwork Prince & reread the last few chapters to refresh my memory - so far Im not disappointed!
So this last month finished
Not sure where to go next. Waiting for a friend to start reading
but think I will tackle
and
I don't know if I will love or hate it, but feel I should at lest read it.
I really enjoyed, 'Half Broke Horses'. I recommend reading it with "Glass Castle'. It's all biographical, but it's definitely an escape.

Catcher and the Rye is on my list. Planning to read soon.
I'm currently reading 2 books. The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan and The after life by Vardan Partamyan! Both are really good!
Read "The Way We Fall" a week ago. Still can't stop thinking about and I have already read three books since.

Will be interested in your comments after you complete the first in her series. I think her plots are interesting and continue to be so into other books in the series. Unlike so many, she keeps things exciting and there is an ongoing suspense. She also adds characters instead of sticking to the exact same ones book after book, while still maintaining the theme of the series.
She wrote a book that helps readers understand the whole Black Dagger Brotherhood that helps with the story line, and who the characters are. "The Black Dagger Brotherhood - And Insider's Guide" in 2008. It might be a bit long for the subject, and I had already read quite a few books in the series by then, but it was interesting.
I also like her new series "Fallen Angels."
HI All, I have just finished Jeannette Walls, Half Broke Horses. Really, enjoy her writing, always. My library holds were all available. I've got The Passage, A Visit from the Goon Squad, and Beautiful Ruins. They are all so tempting. Any ideas about these for me. posting from Guam
Sorry, I haven't read any of those. I've heard great things about Beautiful Ruins though. Everyone I know that read it has liked it. I'm planning to read The Passage later this year.I am in a similar situation. All my library holds came in at the same time. I have Gone Girl, The Storyteller, Family Pictures, The House Girl, AND Me Before You! I have no idea if I can finish them all before giving them back. I think I'll have to skip a couple. I also have a buddy read of Bitterblue coming up in a few days and I'm really looking forward to it.
So, anyone have any recommendations for those library books? Which would you not miss out on? Which would you pass on?
Finally finished

I ma currently reading
by Julia Crane. I have heard great stories about this book and so far, it has been all good. :D
Hey guys! Me and my friend is looking for a book and I hope you can help us. We're looking for the title of a vampire book?
It centered on vampires on an island as the setting (though, I don't think they were the main characters).
This book was divided into three (or maybe two) stories. The first story involved a kid who starts to believe that this other kid is a vampire. At the end of the story, the kid sneaks into the other kid's room and stakes him to kill the "vampire" - but it turns out the kid wasn't a vampire after all.
The last (or maybe second story...) involved some guy who was trying to hunt vampires, and he does so with the help of some other people, but at the end of the story (the characters are in a diner) the guy reveals that he himself is a vampire, and attacks the (girl?) who was helping him.
The cover of the book featured a girl's lips (red lipstick), possibly opened and showing fangs?
That's all I remember.
If you can help me remember the name of the book, I'll love you forever! Thanks!
Im about the start the girl who kicked the hornets nestjust finished a book called after dark i really enjoyed it
I am halfway through White Tiger by Kylie Chan. It's a re-read, as I really love the series and Ms. Chan just released the newest in the series, Dark Serpent - but it's only available in Australia/NZ. *sigh* So I am hoping by the time I re-read all 6 previous books, I can get it over here. If not I'll have to order from fishpond.com again.Next up is Hyde, an Urban Fantasy. Please cross your fingers I can finish up with The Last Detective. It's my P&P challenge pick for the month.
I'm currently reading The Hunger Games and soon will start with the first book of A Game of Thrones Quite excited about the last one actually!
I'll start reading Lover Eternal I'm really looking forward to read it, since I really liked the first book..
It has been a while since I have been posting here. Have been very busy with my thesis and writing letters for applications. In the mean time I have also finished The Great Gatsby, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Taal is zeg maar echt mijn ding. I really liked The Great Gatsby. It was better than I expected actually. I can't wait to watch the movie. I'm reading Delirium and am going to start reading Along Came a Spider soon. So far I like Delirium a lot.
Marie Clarisse - What did you think of Unenchanted? I have that on my Kindle, but haven't had time to read it yet.
Kristie wrote: "What did you think of Hyde? I have it on my TBR list."I had never read the original. But when I started reading this, I thought it was great. The way Lauren Stewart wrote the 1st book and introduced the characters and the storyline was good as well.
am currently reading to kill the mocking bird.I recommend the Silver lining playbook and the great gatsby
Currently Reading: Warriors: The New Phrophecy by Erin Hunter, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Deltora Quest by Emma Rodd and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.Recommend: The Harry Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, anything by Neil Gaiman, The Belgarid and Mallorean by David Eddings.
Just finished
My small review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/..., if you're curious.
I might be changing it after I read
, by updating my rating to 5 STARS if it is as amazing as Hyde. So as you can guess, I am currently reading Jekyll, and blowing off The Last Detective.
?: Would anyone on here who read Hyde be of the needed opinion that it is similar to P&P so I cannot feel so guilty?
