Felicia (justiceflea) | 7 comments I just finished the entire Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia. There were 4 books in this series:

1. Beautiful Creatures
2. Beautiful Darkness
3. Beautiful Chaos
4. Beautiful Redemption

I only started to read the books because the movie of the first book was released. I have a thing that I want to read the book before I see the movie. I didn't know what I was in for when I started BUT WOW!!!! I loved each one. The third one took some time to really get into but once I did...wow. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Currently I am reading The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back by Sariah Wilson. It is okay. I wanted to give my mind a break from my usual vampire, witches and other fantasy readings.

Cass (readcassieread) I'm currently reading Crash and Burn by Michael Hassan, and I have to say it is not what I expected it to be; in a good way of coarse! The writing style takes a little getting used to, but after awhile it's quite an awesome read.

I'm currently reading Erebos for school and although the general plot is interesting it's not a recommend.

I've also started reading City of Bones after a lot of whining from my friend (she want me to be able to join her for the cinema later this year) I haven't regretted it.

message 1158: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (anbarnett) Okay so I currently have like 12 books started but the one I currently carry with me for when I have free time is Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse, #12) by Charlaine Harris and at home I am working on Finale (Hush, Hush, #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick . One is about vampires, psychics and were people and the other is about fallen angels. I never realized how those are on opposite sides of the spectrum until I wrote it out like that.

Anyways, for the most part I spend my time reading my college textbooks. I can't wait for May 13th to get some reading done at last.

Sometimes, if you go to a book's page on Goodreads, there is a link that says Read Now or Read Book, depending on if you're on your computer or using an app. You can read the book directly from there. If you're using an app, there may also be a an "eBooks" icon on the home page, you can browse free books and read from there too.

Robin Sampson (heartofwisdom) Just finished "Hidden Places" by Lynn Austin. LOVED it!! Lots of twists, turns, and surprises. Set in during the Great Depression, I don't usually purchase historcical novels but this is excellent. Beautiful, realistic storyline that portrays strong family ties. Best novel I've read in years. Love the way she worked in backstory as story in a story chapters.

Now reading "Beneath a Summer Sky" by Deborah Raney, "The Story Teller by Jodi Picoult, and "Candle in the Darkness" also by Lynn Austin

Please don't get irritated I always read 4 or 5 fictions and 3 or 4 non-fictions at a time. It's how I roll.

Only some of the books have links (very few). There are even more that have excerpts posted.

I don't know what type of books you like to read. Right now these have "read book" links, if you want to check them out and least see how the links work:

y1 by Sherrie Cronin The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

Also, there is a book called Lydia by Brian Willson, but I couldn't find the link.

Ayu (ianosheas) | 22 comments I just finished reading Prodigy by Marie Lu. And wow, it was fantastic. An action-packed sequel to Legend, and in my opinion, a much better read. Lu has improved her writing skill by so much; polished characters and their relationships, perfected the world inside the pages, and even adds a bit of humor here and there. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves some good YA dystopia.
