Bb2nz1 | 10 comments Currently reading Requiem by Lauren Oliver as I read the first two books in the series and I have to find out what happens in the finale. I feel like not much is different between this book and the first two, except for heightened teen romantic angst but I'll see how it ends and update on whether it had a good conclusion.

*Update* So, finished Requiem and I gotta say it was good but the ending kinda did leave me hanging bc I turned the page and was like "What? Is that it?" I guess though that's bc of the short story at the end so I got confused thinking there was another 20 pages of the novel. Overall I gave it 4 stars and enjoyed it even if I was smh at how abrupt the ending was. And the short story at the end only led up to the start of Requiem so I thought Oliver should have started with the short story even if it is located only in the first edition of the book and is a separate book in all other (later) editions. Anyway, check out the book as I'll be starting the Matched series to compare the two!

message 1057: by Taran (new)

Taran Baker So I finished Clockwork Princess and I am really sad that it's over =( I liked this series better than The Mortal Instruments. So yes I recommend anyone who enjoys a good romance/fantasy to read it. Much better written than Twilight, but still has the addictive quality of young adult fiction.
I've gone on to Mansfield Park by Austen next. Yup, a bit of a jump backwards, but I like mixing it up.

message 1088: by Lianne (new)

Lianne (liannevanroekel) I finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle yesterday. I really liked it. You get to know most of the characters through the stories they tell the main character. I've never read a book like this before and can't wait to read other books from Haruki Murakami.

The next book I'm going to read is A Thousand Splendid Suns. The Kite Runner is one of my favorite books, so I'm looking forward to this one.

Mrs. Dalloway I feel that Mrs Woolf never meet a adverb that she did not like and it was a bit difficult to understand the world she crated but I did love the conversation.
Ready Player OneFun.. Fun... Fun easy read that one can see that it was written to be made in to a movie as it is predictable but fun.

Brave New World

Gone Girl
as the first two books of this month.
I will be skipping this month picks for the club as well ... yeah I won't be rude, but I just can not see myself reading them.
