Just started Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi (after I saw Divergent author Veronica Roth post about it on here). Hooked on it early on & can't wait to keep reading. Hard to put down.

As for what I'm currently (re)reading--one of my favorite Nora Roberts stories, Blue Smoke. It's a bit older, but I haven't read it in a while.
Nora is one of those authors people either love or hate--but I love her, obviously. It kind of starts really slow, but the love story aspect is actually one of my favorites. (Kind of a love-at-first-sight deal on the guy's end, but they don't actually meet for 13 years after he first saw her. It's just sweet.)
Paper Towns Definetely John Green's most brillant book, read it!!! That goes for everyone, I'm watching you.... read. it. now.
I'm a paranormal/sci-fi person. I was going through the bookstore because I was looking for something to read after reading Divergent and Insurgent in a few days' time and picked up Seanan McGuire's Rosemary and Rue (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62...). So far it's pretty good. I liked the way she opened the series up. Can't wait for the trip home so I can read some more of it.I've got a couple books on hold at my local library.
--Written in Red by Anne Bishop http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...
--Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
--Fault in Our Stars by John Green http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...
I tried reading Mirror Maze by Michaele Jordan (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...) but didn't get very far into it. It's not that it's a bad book. I expected something else. I'll end up going back to it after the aforementioned books are finished. It's like that with A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/86...). It feels like either I'm not ready to finish the book or it's just not interesting to me right now.
I wish I could finish Life of Pi before I have to return it but someone else is waiting to read it. That's an interesting story even though I'm not quite a quarter of the way through it.
Too bad you can't finish Life of Pi. It's so good. I just saw the movie last night which misses some of the humor of the novel, but is still good - and so beautifully shot.

i read Gone Girl a while back! loved it except for the ending. i was hoping she would do a sequel to it!
I'm currently reading Televenge by Pamela King Cable. Hi ya'll. I'm new, and I already feel welcome... :)I'm a HUGE book freak and you guys have awesome suggestions!!!!

I'm a book freak too! And I'm new as well, everyone here is awesome! :)))
I'm currently reading "Parade's End" by Ford Madox Ford. It is a bit of a slow go at the beginning, but it really picks up nicely after awhile. It is a significant undertaking at over 900 pages, but it seems to be well worth it. I'm also reading "Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung" by Lester Bangs. He was a writer for Cream magazine in the 70's and is one of the most brilliant music writers of all time. He was portrayed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman in "Almost Famous".
If you like romantic paranormal books then I suggest Kelly Armstrong's Darkest Powers series. The first book is The Summoning! One of the best series I've read, couldn't put it down!
Just finished Playground by 50 cents and i was really impressed with his writing. Easy to read, and his characters were lovable and real. I highly recommend it :)
The Outlander series is realllyyy amazing. Its by Diana Gabaldon. She is one of my mom's and my favorite authors...really try it. It's romance, paranormal, history, and adventure. :)
I'm right now reading Lolita by Vladimir Nobokov
I went from reading this month pick The Fault in Our Stars and now on to The Book Thief it been a wonderful and sad ride but loving it. =)
Michael wrote: "I went from reading this month pick The Fault in Our Stars and now on to The Book Thief it been a wonderful and sad ride but loving it. =)"R they by the same author? Just joined a monthago so I am not up to date on the biggies.
Brittany wrote: "Michael wrote: "I went from reading this month pick The Fault in Our Stars and now on to The Book Thief it been a wonderful and sad ride but loving it. =)"R they by the same author? I just finished Thirteen Reasons Why and I'm now reading the Host. I can already see the similarities to the movie from the preview. I'm really excited for it!
I just finished Blindness and I think it's a great read. If you want to read a book by a Nobel Prize winner and can't decide which one to pick up, I would definitely recommend this one. It's easier to get into than I thought it would be. I'm still reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and A Storm of Swords. Think I should get back to A Storm of Swords before I start reading a new one.
Patty wrote: "I am getting ready to start a book called Broken Faith by Brandy Nacole. it is an ARC"That looks good. Let us know what you think when you finish it.

i will. i am going to start it this week
Hi. New to group! Nice to meet you guys. I'm actually reading a couple of books at once. Both I highly recommend. One's been sitting on my bookshelf for five years and I've only just picked it up - it's The Sea by John Banville - a really sad and nostalgic novel. Beautifully written if you don't mind a slower paced book. And just downloaded (free) Survival Year by Jennifer Shearer French for Kindle. A third of the way in, and it's really good. If you're into speculative political stuff, check it out.
I have just started reading Pride and Prejudice... Its too soon to recommend this book as I am on my initial pages, so lets see where does this book lead.
Sadly few men like that exist but then he was kind of grouchy. I liked Jane's man a lot better. He was so sweet; his only flaw was not sticking to his own mind.I am currently reading Island of the Blue Dolphins and The Borrowers
right now I am reading Everyday by David Levithan ... so far I'm not a fan. The idea of the book is really interesting, but I'm having a hard time really getting into it. Maybe it will pick up and capture my attention.
Hi, everyone! I am currently reading The perks of being a wallflower - finally got it. YAY.As for the recommendations I would recommend Significance by Shelly Crane. It is brilliant, if you're into the whole one guy/girl and soul mate thing.
I am reading The Man by Irving Wallace. I had read this book years ago. Story is some what to present President of United States.
I'm currently reading "London Falling" by Paul Cornell and its great especially if you love an adult supernatural thriller. Just finished the 3rd "Jack Nightingale" book by Stephen Leather - again a supernatural twist and wildly entertaining therefore highly recommended. ***Jack Nightingale books need to be read in order***
im Reading scarlet
second book of the cinder series i recommend the hollows series
and the charlie Davidson
and the women of the otherworld
Teresa wrote: "Currently reading Sophie's world, is quite interesting"I loved Sophie's World, even if it gets very weird at the end (it has a purpose ;-) That is the single most marked up book I own. Red pen everywhere!

I think that's the question on every single woman's mind! :-D
Spell Bound I am loving it thus far! Kelley Armstrong sucks me in every time. I don't plan on accomplishing much else until I finish it.
I just finished Everyday and was not impressed. The idea of the book was really interesting but the book was not. Now I'm reading What's Left of Me and so far it's pretty interesting.
I just finished The Long Earth which I didn't really care for. I felt it was a bit boring. I also just finished The History of Us: A Novel, which was ok. I just started Divergent and Eleventh Elementum, which both started out well.
I'm planning to start Looking for Alaska and The Casual Vacancy next week.
I'm really hoping one of the next few books I read will be great, since I've read a lot of just ok books recently.

Aaah I just finished Looking For Alaska! Absolutely great in my opinion, I liked it better than TFIOS (if you've read that)
Now going to finish Macbeth and after that start rereading City of Bones :)

As soon as I get up tomorrow and get a few chores done I'm going to sit down and read Hot Six. I'm trying to get through the whole series and the hopefully finish "The Brothers O'Brien" series. Then after that I'm not sure.

Glad you liked it! I am definitely due for a great book. City of Bones is on my TBR list too. Let us know what you think of it.
